Are we allowed to post, or...?

Also, just a friendly reminder: Mondays and Thursdays are no go for me on the laptop, I'm hella busy on both days, so if I don't post on these two days or don't show up on the OOC that's why. :D
Dom kept his eyes closed, and his head down. He was still groggy, and he had a mild headache behind his eyes from the light. It was best to stay in the dark for the moment.
But he was aware there was someone else in the room.
The someone in question had just said, 'How are you feeling?'. How am I feeling, how am I feeling...
After a moment of thinking the answer through, Dom replied with a curt, 'I'm fine.' And then, reconsidering his position, he decided to elaborate. No point in making enemies of the staff on the first day. No point having more people around who pushed him too far, angered him too much, triggered too many episodes.
'The light hurt my eyes...so I got a headache, but it's not bad. I feel pretty tired, I guess, and I don't have a clue in hell about where I am, but all things considered...yeah, I'm good.'
It would probably be polite to look her- the staff was assuredly female, from the voice- in the eye, but Dom was feeling too woozy to be polite.
And then it struck him.
The last time he had even considered his manners had been...longer than he cared to remember. It wasn't that he was brought up badly, it was just, with everything going on he didn't care about politeness or what people thought of him. It was quite a surprise, and not wholly unpleasant, to think that his brain was thinking about being polite again. He wondered what had caused the change, but he didn't question the staff lady standing near him.
The first thought that crossed Dom's mind was, 'Is this one of those zombie apocalypse movies that I accidentally got casted for where the dude wakes up in hospital?' The second was, 'Shit, this light is bright.' The third: 'Now where the fuck is my food?'
When he opened his eyes, a lance of white-hot pain speared his head, going right through his brain. He winced, gasping slightly. He found that if he squinted so tight that he could see his eyelashes, he could kind of see. Except, as he so elegantly put it, 'But I still can't see jack shit.' Millimeter by millimeter, Dom opened his eyes, and even though the spear of pain had grown marginally weaker, it still took a good minute or two for his eyes to fully adjust.

He took a look around his room. It was all white, with very bright lighting, and he was lying in one of those hospital beds, with an IV stuck in his arm.
'Now', he said out loud, 'some crazy-ass motherfucker would pull that IV outta they arms. But I ain't a crazy-ass motherfucker, so...' And he leant back, closing his eyes. He could've slept for 30 minutes or 7 years, but either way he was still dog-tired. He wasn't out of it enough to not remember that he was in a different location, but Dom didn't take much notice. In the asylum, it had happened again, and again. He'd go to sleep in one cell and wake up in a whole new different area. The best one was when he fell asleep in South Carolina and woke up in Venezuela of all places. Because of all this, Dom didn't stress. He just sat back, and waited for something to happen.
woah sorry guys
i miss one day and this happens?
just a head's up, thursdays are really hectic for me, and it will be highly unlikely that i get to post on a thursday. I will try!
In any case, I'll go and work on my intro post.
Name: Ade Marconi

Gender: Male

Age: 24

Physical Appearance: Having come from the South of Leyland, travelling up North, he neglected to think about the fact that it would be cold the further north he went. As a result, he never packed a coat, so he spends most of his time when not travelling inside an inn by the fire.

Biography: In order to fully understand Ade's situation, his parents must be taken into account. His mother was a serf's daughter, living in the most southern reaches of Leyland. His father worked for a powerful landowner who went by the name of Narciso Mazza. Mr. Mazza had recently bought himself a nice plot of land to further expand his agricultural prowess, and was aiming to grow an orange and lemon orchard there. However, he lacked the sufficient number of serfs to attend to his new orchard, and so sent an order for 30 slaves to be brought in from one of the Southern lands. One of these men was called Chika Osei, and soon enough Ade's mother bumped into Chika. They soon became fast friends. To make a long story short, they eloped from Mazza's land, and settled in a small fishing town 30 odd kilometers away. There, they set up an inn that specialized in seafood.

Anyway, back to Ade. He was brought up in the inn, and therefore learnt how to cook all kinds of food, but also gained essential people skills. By the time Ade was 16, he was so comfortable around total strangers, and able to strike up conversation so easily that they started to call him 'Golden Tongue' in the village. He sometimes gives this name out to strangers when he wants his identity to remain secret. When he turned 19, his parents started to suffer mysterious but definitely malicious attacks on their ships that supplied their deep-sea fish. Their business began to fail, and by the time Ade was 21 their position had become so critical that his family had lost their home, possessions, savings, and were keeping the shop only by the charity of their landlord.

Ade had learnt, from a few mutterings here and there, that one of the many lordless serfs living along the coastline had miraculously received a donation of a hefty sum of money from an anonymous source, and quickly set up a mercenary and merchant business. This lawless man had been targeting the most successful businesses all along the coast, and there were even some rumours that similar men had been picked up from the gutter and were targeting important businesses all across Leyland. It was all very suspicious.
So Ade's parents, wishing to get to the bottom of the case, sent their eldest son away from home to find out who was paying these homeless men to start attacking businesses all across Leyland. His journey took him up north, in an inn near Horunsbury, and where the current story begins.

Skills: Ade's main skill is talking. He finds it very easily to socialise, even with strangers, and from years of dealing with inquisitive housewives asking where their drunken husbands where (when they were blatantly across the street with some other housewife) he has learnt to guard his own information and lie shamelessly.
In terms of physical skills, he never had much use for weapons but is pretty handy with a knife. For larger weapons, his favourite is a spear, having had much practice lancing fish when he was younger.
Also, he can sail and row boats!

Personality: Ade is pretty simple minded, and a big joker. He was never educated, and so is illiterate, but his command of language is very good. He doesn't have a broad imagination, and thinks of things as going from A to B, instead of calculating the myriad of consequences any given situation could produce. Although he left home at 21, his parents were always quite protective of him, and he had never left the South before. As a result, being around the paler Northern people, with their strange accents and thick, furred clothes, Ade often feels out of place, and a little scared. That's the reason why he always sticks to inns, because they remind him in some way of home.
Ah yeah moral dilemmas are good for me :D
the only thing I came across on this website that I thought -nah- was some military RP set in Afghanistan and I just thought 'nope not roleplaying in that clusterfuck'
Tbh dude america is where everyone wants to go from us, so it's not even that bad XD
Hey, I'm interested! This looks pretty fun.
Singapore?? That's awesome :D

I'm from uh not so sunny england just in case anyone wanted that piece of information :P
@gamer5910
I can see what tenebrae means with your RP style. But tbh turning people away isn't really my thing so if you want me to vouch for you then dude I'll vouch for you.
Don't wanna be sounding like a twat, and I know this is hella boring but proof reading your posts over before submitting them would help, I think.
In any case, I'll vouch for you mate :)

Anyways, as for the scientists, I think it would be pretty cool for a more inexperienced scientist to form a bond with some more cunning inmates, and then persuaded to f everything up, like 'accidentally' setting free one of the mutants during their rage mode, or something along those lines. I think that may be cool scenario that could showcase some of the mutants' powers in action. What do you think? :D
