Silvias Private Quarters

Silvia let out a relieved sighed as she smiled up to him, following him over to the bed and curling up against him as he pulled her close. Resting against him she perked a brow when he told her that she had given him his first kiss. Looking up at him she had a look of surprise on her features. That was something she had not expected but then looking back at how he acted when she kissed him in the Mor and then his moronic tactics to get her attention down in the docks it began to make sense and she could only smile at him.

Seeing him lean closer, she felt her breath catch; eyes drifting close as she felt his lips touch hers. Trembling slightly from the sensation she pressed her lips together when he pulled away, savoring the taste and feeling he left on them. As her eyes opened to gaze up at him she a playful smirk came to her lips. “Don’t tempt me to do what I want right now,” she whispered and gasped slightly as he spun her around and pulled her to his chest. Pushing back on his chest slightly so that he was laying down on the bed she curled up a top of him, letting her body rest on his as she let out a content sigh, her fingers laced with his.

“No, we won’t have another night like this,” she whispered. “Hopefully there will be better nights to come,” she said in a soft voice as she nuzzled her face against him. “But for now what I want is not an option, what I need is,” she said as her voice grew fatigued. “Just hold me,” she whispered as she began to drift off into peaceful slumber there in his arms, her nightmares leaving her alone for the night.

Mor Of The Altenia Tower

Marx leaned back in his chair and stretched a bit as his arms rose above his head and he let out a rather loud yawn. He wasn’t tired, just bored at this point. He had managed to crash in the side room of the Mor on one of the beds most of the night while Craig worked. He had checked the logs and seen that Silvia was planning on taking a new transfer in Engineering over to the Crystal Mines today and wanted to go with her. He figured Ailen could relieve Craig and take the day shift for now. Ailen knew the Tower staff far better than he did and his only concern right then was that Silvia needed to be safe. After seeing the mess Ailens arm had been in when he arrived he feared, rightfully so, that the mines were in just as bad shape.

Rising from his chair before sliding it back under the desk he walked around the Mor a bit while he waited for Craig to come back from his rounds. When the elevator doors opened and he saw Craig he nodded to himself a bit before stepping over to the man. “I am going to go down and wake up Ailen and send him up here. He should be up to relive you shortly.”

“You sure that is a good idea? I saw him yesterday; he didn’t have his head in the game at all. He is well….” Craig began but cut himself off.

“Yeah, when he awoke from surgery he seemed fine. Perhaps a little distracted but I blame Silvia on that. I think he will be fine as long as he isn’t on shift with her,” he said as he ran his fingers through his hair and pushed a few strand out of his face.

“Hope you’re right. What are you planning on doing?” he asked as he set his reports down on the desk.

“I will be escorting Silvia and the new transfer to the Crystal mines. Think Silvia could use back up that isn’t all goo-goo eyed in her presence,” he said as he made his way towards the door of the elevators. “Nothing against the man, doubt he can help himself. She has that effect on some,” he said as he pushed the button and waited for the doors to open. Craig nodded in understanding and made himself comfortable in a seat as he waited for Ailens return to the tower. He was interested to see what all Silvia had done to his arm.

Marx made his way down in the elevator and went over to the door of Silvias quarters and put in the override to unlock it. The door slid open and he stepped inside before making his way into the living room; perking a brow as he looked around and didn’t see Ailen anywhere in sight. “Where the hell is he,” he muttered to himself as he looked over to Silvias door and saw it was open. “Aww hell no,” he grumbled as he walked over to the door and peeked in.

There in bed he saw Silvia curled up on top of Ailen, sleeping in his arms. Rubbing his face he blinked a few times before looking back over to them. “You have got to be shitting me,” he said before crossing his arms over his chest. “At least they’re still clothed,” he said before opening his hand and smacking the wall with ah open palm, sending a rather loud crashing sound through the room.

Silvia bolted straight up out of her sleep, wide eyed and startled; losing her balance and falling right out of the bed and onto the floor with a thud. “What the hell,” she screamed as she rubbed her back end and looked over towards where the sound came from. “For fuck sakes Marx, what was all that about?” she hissed.

“Just giving the wakeup call Ailen asked for. I wasn’t expecting to find him in here with you. Care to explain Angel?” he asked sternly. Silvia narrowed her eyes slightly as she got up and stormed over to him.

“Why the hell do I have to explain anything to you?” she snapped as she poked him the chest with her finger.

“You know why,” he said before she grabbed his hand and drug him out of her bed room and into the living room. Marx reached out and grabbed her arm and spun her around quickly. “What?” she yelled.

“Silvia, what happened last night? He didn’t, well..you know?” he asked concerned. Silvias eyes widened before she slapped him across the face.

“Perv! He did no such thing! I had the nightmare last night. He comforted me, that’s all!” she said defending Ailens actions last night, though she conveniently left out the kissing part.

Rubbing his cheek slightly he looked at her and let her arm go. “Oh Sil, I am so sorry, I.. just..well you know,” he said trying to apologize for him jumping to conclusions.

“Forget it, I slept better last night than I have in years,” she said before storming back off towards her room, reaching the door she glanced over her shoulder and smirked. “And for your information if I hadn’t been so tired last night I would have done every depraved thing I could think of and really given you something to bitch about,” she snapped before sticking her tongue out at him and walking to the bathroom, the door sliding shut and locking as she went to take a shower.

Marx stood there with his mouth agape at her words as a mental image was forced into his mind by Silvia and he screamed. “Oh my god! Silvia!!! I’m going to have to bleach my brain to get that image out of my head!!!” he said as he shook his head and let out a rather visible shiver. “Okay, lover boy, report up to the Mor and relieve Craig for a shift. I will be going with Silvia down to the mines to keep an eye on her,” he said as he slowly walked back over to the bedroom door and tossed in a clean uniform he had retrieved earlier in the night. “The Twins will be relieved from duty once Silvia returns,” he said before walking over to the couch and sitting down, gagging slightly as he tried to push the thought out of his mind of what Silvia wanted to do with Ailen. “I didn’t need to see that…”

Infirmary

“What the hell happened in here?” a middle aged woman asked as she looked around at the condition of O.R. 3. Rubbing her temples she went over to the O.R.s recording device and backed up the tape. Standing there she tilted her head to the side slightly. “Wow, Ailen went through a major reconstruct last night,” she said as she spoke to herself. “I guess that must be the new Lead I am hearing so much about. Not bad, I can see why she passed out right after. Oh well, I guess it’s up to the staff to get the place cleaned up,” she said before placing her fingers to the side of her mouth and letting out a piercing whistle. Suddenly three orderlies rushed in and froze as they looked at the mess.

“What’s up Crisna?” one of them asked as he looked around.

“Had an emergency surgery and reconstruct last night on Ailen. Surgeon and assist were too tired after nearly 10 hours in the O.R. to clean up it seems. Can you boys make sure to get this place sterile again before helping the others begin to unload our overnight deliveries? Seems our new Tower Lead had us fully restocked overnight. It’s going to be a long day,” she said as she turned to leave the room and address the rest of the day staff.

“We actually have supplies?” one of the nurse empaths asked over hearing what Crisna had told the orderlies.

“I know, it feels like Christmas,” she said as she knelt down next to a box and cut it open; perking a brow at the contents. “What in the world?” she whispered as she pulled out some toys and hair supplies. “This can’t be right,” she said as she looked to the side of the box and read the label.

Deliver to Empath Gaia for the Children’s Wing Of The Infirmary of Altenia Tower

“Well I’ll be damned,” Crisna said with a smile and placed the box up on the check in station for the staff. Pressing her com she opened a channel to Gaia’s quarters. “Gaia, time to get up. You have a package here in the infirmary from Tower Lead Silvia, you might want to come check it out,” she said before closing the communication.

Docks Of Altenia Tower

The docks of the Altenia Tower had never been busier than that morning. Supplies were coming in as fast as the Twins could catch them and they could be unloaded. Eleven docks were running at full speed, with the most precious of cargos going to the Rough Necks. Medical Supplies for the entire planet were being sent to the Rough Necks with explicit direction to make sure they were loaded up for delivery to the various cities, towns, villages and mines on the planet.

Replacement parts were sent to docks three and four, while new equipment was being sent to docks eight and nine. Food supplies were taking up docks one and two. Everything else from clothing to toothbrushes was taking up the rest. The only dock that was not in use was dock twelve where Srath was. Craig leaving specific instructions for him to hold in dock after the delivery the night before. Smuggling was not going to be an issue anymore but he had another job for Srath that couldn’t be handled through normal channels. He just hoped the man would want to take on the challenge.

The Dock Master was going through the paper work and was finding a lot of it rather odd. How did the new Tower Lead make it possible for so much to be delivered so quickly? All of this cost far more than the tower had for a budget. Taking a closer look he saw just how she managed to pull it off. Half the supplies were paid for out of the account of Silvia Adenias; either in direct payment or an open line of credit that she would have to work off for the next several years. Leaning back in his seat he rubbed his face. “Damn, seems our prayers have been answered after all,” he said before going back to work.

Silvias Quarters

Silvia waited until Ailen had left before she came out of the bathroom wrapped in a towel. Drying her hair she got dressed in mining gear and laced up her boots before making her way into the living room. Marx still trying to push the image out of his head. She could only laugh. “Serves you right,” she barked before making her way out of her room, Marx running to catch up with her at the elevator after he locked down her private quarters.

The elevator door opened and they stepped in, Marx pulling out his portable com and showing her where they were headed in the mines and where the reported issues where. “Right, I was going to have us stop by the Brax’Na Village first but it can wait until we are done with my review of the mines. That way I can show the Jun’Krama a schedule to get everything fixed and up to date.”

“You got all this stuff here pretty quick, how much in debt are you now because of this tower?” he asked as he leaned back and crossed his arms over his chest.

“Nothing I can’t work off if I can mine a black,” she retorted rather quickly.

“Silvia! You know you shouldn’t be digging down there, even if it is up to safety codes. It could drive you mad,” he said in shock.

“I don’t care, I have something I need to find,” she said as she pulled a small sample crystal out of her pocket and showed him.

“Whoa, seriously? Where did you get this?” he asked as he examined it.

“A friend sent it to me on Earth a while back. I think it would solve a big problem,” she said as she awaited the elevator to reach the designated floor.

“Then have a Singer mine it, they are nuts already,” he suggested in a stern voice.

“No, they couldn’t handle this,” she said matter-of-factly before taking the sample and putting it back in her pocket.

“And what makes you think you can? You know you aren’t indestructible Angel,” he said as he reached out and placed his hand on his shoulder.

“I have to try,” she said pushing his arm away before stepping out of the elevator and making her way down the various halls to the sleeping quarters. Finding the door she was looking for she knocked several times rather hard before speaking. “Jeremiah Strong, its Tower Lead Silvia Adenias. It’s time to head out to the mines,” she said loudly before knocking again and waiting for him to answer.
Danica smiled and gave a quick bow before sitting herself across from Zomura. She began to eat and moaned softly. “You’re right, these are the best in town,” she commented between bites. As he asked if she had ever been to a shrine before she stopped eating and sat back in her chair. “No actually, most of my articles are for the outdoors and don’t focus on much more than the best places to climb or jump from,” she said before a considerate look came over her features. “Though I think I can spare some time. Would a nice change. Yes, I would be honored,” she responded.

Sean perked a brow as he listened to them, he didn’t have a clue to what they were talking about but he knew that look on Danicas face all too well. Their plans had just changed. Taking a few big gulps he finished off his food quickly and sat there making sure everything with his bag was in order for when she was ready to do what she had her mind set on.

Danica was about to speak again when she felt someone reach out and grab her, her hand coming up to remove it but before she could she was pulled out of her chair and went spilling out onto the floor. Sean jumped out of the way and pressed himself against the wall quickly as the vehicle came crashing into the shop. Danica grunted slightly, she felt like she had just fallen from an unstable rock base.

“Yeah, I’m okay,” she grumbled slightly as she looked over to Zomura. “And I thought delivery drivers in the U.S. were bad,” she said as she got up and dusted herself off. “Sean you okay?” she asked as she looked over to him, he just nodded slowly; turning her attention back over to Zomura who was now with Yumiko. “Nice to meet you,” she said in Japanese before looking around at the devastation caused by the crash. “Well hell, there goes dinner plans,” she said as she stepped through the rubble and fanned the dust cloud away from her face.

Her eyes falling on a man who was saying something in a language she did not know, the dialect sounded familiar but she couldn’t make out the words. “Hey, where’d you learn to drive!” she snapped in English, doubting he could understand but she didn’t care. “My sisters pet pig has better road manners than you do,” she grumbled before looking back over to the mess and dug out her pack, shoving the slightly torn chute back into the bag fully and zipping it closed. Her clothing was slightly ripped and she had some scrapes and bruised but nothing bad. Placing the pack on her back she stepped back over to Zomura and Yumiko.

“Yeah, let’s get the hell out of here. I’ll check the dumbass over there when we get to the shrine,” she said as she pulled a few pieces of noodle from his hair. “And a quiet lunch sound perfect,” she said before looking back over to Sean. “Come on your Irish Bastard, we have to get moving.”
Silvias Private Quarters

Silvia kept her head buried against Ailens chest; weeping softly as she clung to him desperately in need of comfort. Feeling his head rest over hers and taking in his touch, the tactile sense radiating through the fabric of her shirt as he pulled her closer; the tears slowly subsiding there in his arms. Even though as she was encircled in his embrace and the lamenting over the nightmare was beginning to fade away she did not want to let go; she didn’t want to the moment to end. It was an alleviation from woes of a long ago past; she did not want to succumb to them once again.

“Stay with me tonight,” she whispered gingerly as her fingers trailed from around his shoulders to his cheek; gradually tilting her head back to look up at him as she cupped his features delicately in her palm. “I don’t want to be alone tonight, I can’t. Not after everything,” she continued, gradually rising closer to him, gazing into his eyes; lips brushing his with a feathers touch before kissing him softly. It was unlike the forceful one she had taken earlier in the day in the heat of a moment, this one was soft as a whisper and as delicate as lace. “Please.” A desperate plea escaping her lips into the kiss.

Leaning back slowly, her touch left his cheek; seeking out his hand on her back, lacing her fingers with his as she lowered herself to the ground. Taking a step back towards her room, hoping he would follow her and not leave her in the darkness to fend for herself this evening. “Just hold me tonight,” she whispered as she took another step back. Already being out of his embrace made her feel weak, she knew the nightmare would return once again and she could not bear to go through that again, not now. “Keep the memory away,” she said softly.

“Please,” she said as she looked up at him, towering over her. Right then, she just wanted him to be close to her; to sweep her up in his arms and let her find peaceful slumber in his arms. She stood there waiting, hoping that he would understand this one thing, even if it were just for this night; yet for him to understand she realized he would need to know why she was in such a frightened state of the night. Placing her free hand over his she closed her eyes, she opened her mind to his as if she was going to speak to him telepathically though instead of words she sent a single memory, one that had plagued her since she was small.

Once the memory had passed she looked away from him and took a deep breath, closing her eyes as she felt the emotions threaten to rise up once again. “Please…”

Mor Of the Altenia Tower Earlier In The Evening

“Craig, we have an incoming vessel carrying a class two bounty – Braka Sol,” the security officer sitting at the com said as he motioned over to the monitor showing Sraths ship coming into dock 12 within the depths of the tower. Craig rubbed his chin and nodded slightly.

“Very well, I will go down and retrieve the bounty, make sure a holding cell is prepped on the prison level,” he ordered before making his way to the elevator. Leaning against the wall of the elevator as it went down he crossed his arms over his chest. “That explains what was taking him so long to get back here,” he said to himself before the doors opened to the docks.

Walking out he wandered over to Dock twelves’ port and waited for Srath to emerge with the prisoner. That would make two Bast’ians in lock down in the tower; he wondered if this was the start of a trend. There were not many on Altenia but they all had a similar mentality to Tristan so he was not very surprised that another was about to be put in shackles. He had a feeling in the pit of his stomach that this was just the beginning.
Danica chuckled somewhat and nodded. "Yes, it seems there are two sides to every group of people," she said, continuing to speak in Japanese to be polite. She always tried to speak in same native tongue as those around her, even if she wasn't fluent and was reading from a translation book. Danica felt that when you go into someone's home you followed their rules as best you could. To her it was rude not to make the effort. Right now she was just thankful she was in a country where she spoke the language well enough not to need to keep referring to some book.

The order came up and Sean brought over Danicas bowl and the one she ordered for the kids savior and sat it down. "I'll be over here if you need me," he said in English before taking a seat at another table. He knew to leave her alone when she was talking to the native folk and for him he would rather eat alone as he went through the picture he had taken during hee jump.

"Thanks Sean," she said in English before switching back to Japanese. "Oh yeah, thrill seeker. Us crazy Americans I know. I write for a travel magazine, so I try to find different things to do. Hoping to head out tonight to find a new climbing spot," she said as she patted hee climbing bag.

"Yakuza? I guess that explains the ink work, I take it you had those done the traditional way with wooden bamboo and dipped ink instead of my way with a modern needle," she said as she pulled up her t-shirt slightly and turned to show a small portion of the ink work covering her back.

"Name's Danika Graves," she said as she lowered her short and looked back over to him. "Mind if I join you? Or would it ruin your reputation to be seen with a gaijin?"
Sean took a seat as Danica stood there, then the scene unfolded around her as a man stepped passed her looking rather vexed. Working a brow she turned around and watched what happened, a smirk coming to her lips in approval to his handling the bullies. American or not, she didn't care. No kid should be picked on by anyone. As he spoke to her she nodded and bowed to him.

"Thank you I will give those a try," she said in Japanese as she turned around and changed her order and added an extra bowl for the man since it seemed he had lost part of his meal due to someone from her country. Picking up a few napkins after she paid the extra she walked over to him and held them out.

"Sorry about them, trust me, we aren't all like that," she said to him in his native tongue. Sean just sat there wondering what she was talking about since it didn't matter how much they traveled together he always just let her be the translator.

"Lass, everything okay?" Sean asked in his thick Irish accent as he looked at the two of them. Danica turned and looked over to him nodding her head yes.

"Yeah, everything is fine. He was just being kind and I figured he could use a napkin after everything," she said before turning her attention back to the anti-bully enforcement agent.
Silvia continued to weep yet as she felt his arms wrap around her she slowly stopped using her telekinesis to hold her up where she was and let her body press to his, her legs dangling off the ground as she pulled herself closer to him. "I am... with... someone... I care about," she whispered between the sobbing. She was an emotional mess right then but him holding her was helping her to slowly bring her emotions into manageable state.

Keeping her head buried against his chest, she didn't want to move. She doubted there way anything he or anyone could say to make her feel better right then and she knew she didn't want an empath around her right now. She hated people being around her when she was like this, as rare as it was, and only one other person had ever been allowed to be around her when she was in this state of emotional turmoil. The was Marx but that was only because they had grown up together and he, in her eyes, was her big brother. Big brothers were supposed to protect their little sisters.

Ailen was different though, he wasn't someone she looked at as a brother. She wasn't sure how she felt about him with everything that had happened but it was anything but sibling related. His arms around her brought her comfort in a way she hadn't felt before and all she knew right then is that she needed him. "Just hold me," she said as the tears slowed their creation from her eyes. "Please," she added in a vulnerable plea.
Danica and Sean made their way quickly from the park and sought out somewhere to grab a bite to eat. They both had skipped breakfast and now with the stunt done they could relax a bit before catching a train out of the city. Stopping at a corner at the edge of the park Danica took a look around to try to get her bearings. She had visited Toyko a few times over the years but she only really new a few major stop points in the city. She knew the mountains far better than the streets.

"Hrm, what to get to eat," Danica muttered as she drummed her fingers on her lips before looking over to Sean.

"McDonald's?" Sean asked as he rubbed his stomach before Danica slapped him upside the back of the head.

"Dude, seriously? We're in Japan!" she scolded before she looked around again. Sean just smirked and rubbed the back of his head slightly.

"So where then?" Sean asked as he continued to try to sooth where she struck him.

"Noodles, I want noodles," she said as she started walking, Sean jogging along to keep up with her quick steps.

"You and noodles," he remarked as he followed her into a place. "What's this place?" he asked.

"Chou's Noodle Shop," she answers before walking over to the counter and bowing deeply to the person there. "Yes, I'd like to make an order," she said as she switched from speaking in English to Japanese to the person in front of her, her parachute sticking out slightly from her bag as she placed an order for her and Sean before paying.
Silvia gasped for breath as she slowly realized it had all been a dream, then the tears started. Hearing Ailen at her door asking if she was alright she slowly slid out of bed and walked over to the door, trying to wipe them away bit they wouldn't stop coming. Pressing her hand to the panel the door slid open quickly and she looked up at him, sobbing uncontrollably before she began to rise up as she took a step and burying her head against his chest; her arms wrapping around his neck as she continued to weep.

"No.." she whimpered as she tried to control her emotions. She felt weak, broken and helpless right then and was desperately seeking comfort from him. The nightmare did not come often but when it did it shook her to the core, making her feel like she was once again the toddler she had been the day it happened, unable to wake her parents.

It was the main reason she had trained so hard growing up, she swore to herself after years of being plagued by the horror of the night terrors that she would never lose another person she cared about because she was unprepared or weak. She would not let anything stand in her way to ensure that there was never a new nightmare added.

So now, after such a long day and a fear of failing Ailen earlier combined with the horrors she was learning the tower had gone through, that fateful night was triggered while she slept. Clinging to Ailen she sought comfort as she tried to control her emotions.
It was before dawn in the Shinba Park Hotel near Keio University and Danica was out cold in her bed, hugging her pillow and trying to sleep off the jet lag from arriving the previous day. Her alarm had gone off but she had yet to climb out of bed, mumbling something about five more minutes. Then she awoke with a gasp as she was drenched with ice and water, screaming and huffing as she jumped out of bed but got caught in the sheets and ended up on the floor with a rather loud thud. A man stood over her bed dressed in jeans and a T-shirt just laughing at her as he dropped the ice bucket and winked.

“Wakey wakey eggs and bakey!” Sean said in a thick Irish accent as he took a few cautious steps back. Danica growled slightly and lunged for him but her foot was still caught in the sheets.

“You limey Irish Bastard!” she snapped in a southern drawl. “Trying to have my catch pneumonia before my jump?” she hissed as she rolled over onto her rear end and untangled the sheets.

“You won’t be jumping from anywhere if we don’t get going lass, now move it before I refill the bucket,” he teased as he picked up his camera bag. Danica gave him a one finger salute before getting up and grabbing her bag to change into something dry. After a few minutes she came out and pulled her hair up into a ponytail before slipping her shoes on.

“Okay, I’m heading to the Tokyo Tower, where are you going to set up?” she asked as she grabbed her base gear and tossed him her climbing bag.

“Main Observatory and then I will meet you after you contact me when you land,” he said as he caught the bag and slung it over his shoulder.

“Okay, let’s do this,” she said as she opened the door to her hotel room and went on her way. It was now early morning and she wanted to grab something to eat but she knew better than to scarf anything down before a jump. They quickly made their way through the hotel and at a moderate pace walked to Tokyo Tower, arriving just shortly after it opened for tourists. Hitting the elevator they started their ascension, not really saying anything. Didn’t matter how many times she jumped she always got nervous. Sean hopped out at the Main Observatory and wink as he stepped off. Danica just smiled and waited for the elevator to take her up to the Special Observatory Deck. Once she got there she looked around and slowly made her way towards the emergency exit; one of Japans finest security guards was standing there as well as some officials and a group of reporters, all of them looking at her oddly as she approached them.

She bowed deeply before introducing herself in Japanese and handing over her paperwork. It had taken nearly a year to get the okay from the Tower and local authorities as well as a stack of paper work a mile high and legal documents saying people wouldn’t sue them if she died. After answering a few questions for the press and taking some pictures the emergency exit door was opened and she was allowed to go through.

The wind was blowing at a good rate but other than that everything seemed good. Setting her pack down she pulled out her base jumping suit and slid into it before zipping it up and throwing her pack on her back and securing it for the ride down. Taking a deep breath she began her free climb up from the 250m point of the S.O. to the 300m agreed upon jump point. It took a bit to get to the taped off location but Danica didn’t mind. The view was spectacular and her adrenaline was pumping. As she reached the point she turned around and pressed her back against some of the metal and pulled her eye goggles into place.

“Okay Danica, you got this,” she said giving herself a pep talk; taking a few long deep breaths as she bent her knees. “Three…..two…..one,” she whispered to herself before making a big push from a low squat and jumping off the top of the Tower. “Bonsai Bitches!” she screamed as she went into the air and started to head for the ground. Danica fanned her arms and legs out to slow her decent with the help of her suit and slowly made her body turn with the currents that high up. She felt that rush she always craved and as far as she was concerned this day was going to be the best of her life. (Boy was she wrong.)

Sean pushed to the glass of the floor he was one and started snapping pictures, managing to catch one of her waving in the general direction of the tower. Once she reached the mini parachute pull point, she ripped the cord and it pulled out, catching on the down draft and yanking her back up someone in altitude before the descent resumed. Once she had Sean ran to the elevator and made his way out of the tower looking around to see if he could find her.

Danica had landed in the park half way between the Hotel they had stayed in and the Tower itself, people clamoring around her taking pictures with the camera phones and asking for selfies. She posed for some, throwing up the peace sign as she did before she was able to get them to back off enough for her to get out of her gear. Then her phone rang and she pulled it out of the zipper pocket on the suit.

“You get that?” she asked excitedly.

“Lass, it was bloody brilliant! Where are you?” Sean asked and Danica quickly gave him her location as she sat down on the grass. “Right, be right there,” he said before hanging up and running off to where she was; wasn’t long until he found her still taking selfies with locals and tourists. The press hadn’t seemed to locate her yet. “Waiting for the news to show up?”

“Screw that, I already interviewed, let’s get the hell out of dodge,” she said as she handed him her jump pack and he handed over her climbing gear. “Let’s get food, I want to hit the bullet train and find a hotel near a mountain by tonight,” she said as she grabbed his hand and they ran off, getting lost in the crowd before the press could find her.
