Abby's hands were shaking as she handed the letter Cyril obviously read a thousand times, horrified by both its contents and the way it was written. However, the cause of her terror were Hajime's words. What was the Tenth Boss thinking? They were just a group of teenagers and barely any of them actually knew some sort of self defense. Now he was commanding them to save Cyril's aunt from some crazed lunatic? Sonya had described the mysterious man as kind-hearted and a great leader, but all Abby could imagine him now was insane.

Sonya, on the other hand, had pursed her lips into a tight, thin line. Anger was building up inside her, not just because someone had dared to drag a civilian into mafia business, but that she was denied to directly aid her students. Sitting on the sidelines was something Sonya Dmitriev was not used to whatsoever. As a former mercenary and hitwoman, she was used to being the first one on the battlefield. That way of thinking was difficult to change, especially since her recent career change was still fresh on her mind. Yet, these were the Tenth's orders. If he wanted her to train those kids, she was going to train the hell out of them.

All thoughts were cut short when Hajime revealed an image of the kidnapper via hologram. To say the room was shocked was definitely an understatement as it took a few seconds for everyone to register the familiar face.

It was Abby who broke the silence as she jumped out of her seat and slammed her hands on the wooden dining table. "That's the nerd guy from the other day!" She screamed. Sonya's rage flared up even more as she stared at the cocky expression of Vincente Cleto. She knew he looked familiar when she first laid eyes on him. Yet she decided to ignore her gut feeling and allow him to socialize with the 11th Vongola candidates. As the room filled with panicked chatter, the red-head stood up, her domineering presence silencing the room in an instant.

"We have one week." She began, "One week until this idiot becomes too restless and decides to do something rash. During this week, I will train all of you to your very limits. Even if one of you breaks, I will not stop your training. If any of you are having second thoughts, get out. Leave this Familigia and we will never contact you ever again. We do not have time for hesitation."

Sonya's words hung heavy in the air as she allowed them to sink in to each and every candidate. Finally, after a long minute, she gave one final question.

"So, is anyone leaving?"
Huh, it is technically afternoon now.
I'm so sorry! I've been busy with my new job!! I promise I'll work on it today!
So imma post. I want to post. Sonya's gonna rain training hell on dem kids.

But its gonna be later in the evening. Finally working.
That's great! I should have a post up tomorrow or the next day.

And happy early birthday!!!
Omg you posted. I don't know if I'm ready for your awesomeness after so long.

EDIT: it was everything I've imagined, and more. *tear*
Got my certification to help people talk good! I feel so grown up...
Abby's too rich and never learned how to cook. I forsee her demanding someone to make her some food and triggering this food battle.
I'm sorry it took a while for me to finally see this post. That's a good idea to meet with Kid's son but not so soon. Do you plan to have Mitsui travel with Sera indefinitely or are you just following the flow of your character? It'd be a shame for them to part ways so soon after her meeting a capable partner. But it's your character and I'm fine with whatever you choose.

For what's next, if we think about it they've already reached the outskirts of the city that is pretty much deserted and empty of any survivors. Sera would want to find some people she knew from the city, be it classmates or teachers. She doesn't know where her parents are (she only knows they're on a mission) and is having doubts on what they've done, so that's a internal dilemma she'll be dealing with.

And yeah, fighting with Karasuko would not be good right now. We could have them reach a small town to rest and it's suddenly attacked by Madness beasts with their guard down.
Sera was still taken aback by how merciless MItsui was with his killings, not expecting to behead another creature that night. Yet, he did. She avoided the familiar's soulless gaze as she followed Mitsui out of the city. Once they reached the city gates, the blond felt a chill go down her spine. It was then that she realized how far she had gotten from the flames. She was mildly surprised that she came out of the burning city primarily unscathed. Looking back, Sera felt a wave of anguish wash over her as her hometown burned to the ground. Swallowing up that sadness, she turned back to her savior and cleared her throat.

"So... Mitsui." She began awkwardly, unsure of what to say. She still couldn't make heads or tails of the purple-haired stranger. He was terrifying, that's for sure. But he had laid down his life to save her twice now, even when his supposed allegiance were to the witches. If this was a trap, it was much too elaborate for her to make any sense out of it.

"Thank you for saving me. I don't think I would have made it out without you." She finally replied after a few moments of silence, "But why'd you do it? You were with the witches, right?"
