Alright, cool and thank you.
I guess I should ask to make sure my character is approved, don't know why that just occurred to me now.
Name: Mikael Traven

Age: 19

Home world: Otherworld

Race: Human

Gender: Male

Appearance:

Physicality: Mikael is fairly average in his build; he isn't weak but he isn't particularly strong. He much prefers the pursuits of the mind over those of the body, though he recognizes a need to stay in somewhat good shape. He has some notable magical ability and can use a sword (though he generally doesn't)

Personality: Mikael is very interested in anything new, though he generally can keep his head in such situations. He is typically polite to those around him unless they have lost his respect in some way. He is rather naive and assumes most people are worthy of his respect until proven otherwise. He enjoys reading, writing and music.

History: Mikael Traven was born to Adir Traven and Myra Peace Traven. They were relatively minor nobles, owning a (relatively) small amount of land. Adir wanted all of his sons to become knights but Mikael had never had much interest in doing so and wanted to learn magic. He protested much against his father's wishes, eventually simply leaving when he was fifteen. He took a horse, sword and what he determined to be enough money to find someone to teach him.

After two weeks of searching and working for food Mikael heard about a mage that might be willing to take on a student who lived a ways out of the city he was in at the time. Mikael went to where he was told to go and found a fairly innocuous cottage. He went up to the door and knocked. The door was opened by a middle-aged man.
“What are you doing here, young man?” he asked.
Mikael looked right into his eyes, “I'm here to learn the ways of magic, sir.”
The man tilted his head, “What makes you think I know anything about magic?”
“I've been searching for two weeks to find someone who can teach me and I heard that you can.”
The man rubbed his chin thoughtfully, “Two weeks, hmm? Not that long to be searching... where did you come from?”
Mikael looked a bit confused in the change in tone, “I came from my father's house, he owns some land.”
“How much land?”
“Uh, three acres of land.”
The man nodded, “More land than most people...” he looked at Mikael for a few moments, “Very well, I'll take you in; however if I find that you cannot, or will not, take the responsibilities of a mage seriously, then I will not teach you.”

So Mikael became a student of the man, whose name he found was Demir. He trained under him for four years, learning much and making quite a few mistakes (who doesn't?). Though his tutelage was not yet complete Demir encouraged Mikael to go out and learn about the world on his own, and then come back when he- Mikael –felt like he was ready. So Mikael set out to learn more about the world he lived in, taking many books to study with him.

Combat style: Mikael prefers to use magic to incapacitate his foes, though he may use more offensive spells. He can also use a sword adequately if the need arises.

I'm interested.
Here is my application, if you are still accepting.

This sounds quite interesting. I am at the very least intrigued by this.
Ildrun almost chuckled at the statement the Altmer made. She wasn't fond of Altmer, especially those who were with the Aldmeri Dominion, but such dislikes had to be set aside in the face of greater threats like Dragons. At any rate he was obviously smitten with Faire, and how he had just come out and said that line was hysterical in her mind. Not that she would let any see it, she didn't want anyone to come close to thinking she would be friends with a Thalmor, so she simply ignored him. At any rate, they were about to leave for Kynsgrove, and Ildrun was eager to get a move on. ---------- They had finally reached reached Kynesgrove. It wasn't a long journey, though they had run into a little trouble it was nothing the group couldn't handle. Ildrun hoped that she had shown her worth against their adversaries, as those were some of the few she had ever fought. At any rate the Dragon was foremost in her mind now, thinking much about how to take down the beast. Valerion asked if anyone was up for sparring, at which Ildrun perked up and said, "I would love to get some practice in before we fight this Dragon. Though I suppose fighting a Dragon will be much different than fighting a person." she shrugged, she mostly just wanted to get her mind off of thinking about the Dragon, it would probably just scare her more than if she didn't.
Ildrun yawned a bit as she packed up her things, she hadn't gotten as much sleep as she would have liked in the past few days. Hopefully now that she had caught up with the Dovahfeyn she would be able to get more. It had been an interesting night, particularly because the meeting of a Snow Elf, which Ildrun still had a hard time believing happened, yet the Snow Elf was still there. Then again, the thought of Dragons returning had been nearly unthinkable until it had actually happened, Who knows? We might meet one of the Dwarves before our journey ends. She chuckled a bit, that still seemed unlikely, yet she was traveling (maybe) with a Snow Elf to kill Dragons so it didn't seem impossible as it had before. Ildrun stood up and checked hear gear again, she was ready to go, though there seemed to be some still getting up. She sat down by the fire pit and took out a bit of dried, salted venison to chew on as she thought about the journey ahead.
Markul smiled inside, seemed like someone had touched on a subject the Half-Elf did not like to discuss. It didn't matter much to Markul, if the Half-Elf was wearing a scarf to hide part of his face or if he just liked scarves. He put away his little notebook and pulled out and fiddled with a puzzle cube as he contemplated what spells he would should prepare next.
Happy birthday!
