Xavier swats his face away. "No. This is poison." He says calmly, before chuckling. "We're going to get food, but I need these in order to do it." He sniffs the leaf. "See. IF you smell it, it smells really bad, doesn't it?" He asks, curious to see what the boy thought about it. He was pleasantly amused by this kid. Even if he did act dumb, it was a nice...relief to be away from all the fighting.

Leo snarled lightly at the swatt, but huffed and pulled the leave closer to his face, sniffing at it. He wrinkled his nose and moved it away, growling some. "Oh, ok." he huffed and gave it to Xavier. "It gross." he muttered, before glaring at him. "How it get food?"

Xavier ignores the boy as he spots a clump of the herbs he uses for his poisoned throwing knives, up ahead. He jogs over and inspects the leaves. "Yes! They aren't too dry or too wilty." He chuckles, gently pulling several of the leaves and folding them into a pouch at his waist. He glances at Leo. "Hey kid, come over here and help me a bit!"

Leo came over and sniffed at the plants, scowling and plucking one of the leaves. "Food...?" he grumbled, about to nom it. He'd eat, even if it was green. He was literally that hungry, and Xavier was supposed to be leading him to food after all.

Xavier laughs at the hiss. "I'm a crocodile. Trust me kid." He then begins whistling, ignoring Leo's question. The kid was being a bit annoying. Xavier didn't care too much. Broms themselves were worse than this. And the Rabins. whoo-hoo. They were the worst of the worst. I was actually quite nice to just walk in some random direction with no real purpose. Well, except to avoid losing his hand to this kid.

Leo rolled his eyes irritably and followed the taller man. He snorted and glared at his back, growling as he looked around. He swallowed hard and shoved his hands into his pocket,s looking down a bit. "Hmpf... stupid man... No give forward answer..." he muttered grumpily.

Xavier smiles slightly at the boy. "Deal. But know if you do try to bite me.." He shifts and opens his jaws wide, before closing them and shifting back. "I bet my bite is bigger than yours." He winks and keeps walking, hands in his pockets. One hand on a throwing knife, in case Leo tried anything. He didn't think the boy would, but he seemed unpredictable enough, and Xavier really did not feel like losing a hand. Not today and not to a boy younger than him. Now if a Rabin cut off his hand, well, he might have less of an issue with that.

Leo jumped back and hissed loudly at Xavier, snarling loudly, teeth barred. He narrowed his eyes at him and hissed slightly, before beginning to follow him. He glared angrily at Xavier's back. "Can't bite what you no touch..." He growled under his breath. He loomed around as they walked. "Where going?"

Xavier chuckles. "You're cute kid. What's your name?" He asks, before holding a hand out warily. "I'm Xavier, please don't chew my hand off. I know you're hungry. We'll get you food." He wonders where the best place to get food would be. Kid looked like he had eaten in awhile, and Xavier really didn't feel right sending the boy off without anything to eat.

Leo narrowed his eyes at the larger boy and snorted. "Fine..." He took his hand and shook it firmly. "I Leo. I no eat hand if take me where food is." He smirked a bit, barring his teeth in warning.

Xavier groans, shaking his head. "Kid, i'm not heading to food. I'm going to collect... nevermind, not important." He huffs and starts walking. "If you want to come along, sure, whatever. But dont expect to actually get any food this way." Man this kid has a horrible attitude problem. He thinks to himself.

Leo narrowed his eyes at Xavier and growled low. He snorted and sniffed at him unsurely. He grumbled and sighed heavily. "Fine... I guess... I jus want food, thought people have food, but noooo..."

Xavier slowly sits up. He looks at the boy. "I don't carry food with me on short trips like this." He holds his hands out in front of him, slowly getting to his feet. "Would you like to come back to my camp with me?" He asks, noticing the boy's broken english. "We have food there that you can have. You can even have your own tent to sleep in, and warm fires during the night."

Leo barred his teeth at him a bit and tensed up, looking like he may attack Xavier again if he wasn't careful. He snarled lowly and listened to him. "Just want food. People too noisy. I no able hunt cause you!" He snapped, before huffing and glancing towards where Xavier was going. He pointed at him. "You take me food now."

Xavier gasps as he's tackled. He blinks as the boy began sniffing him. "Hey now!" He tries to gently push Leo off, realizing how young the boy was and not wanting to hurt him. He tries to sit up. He could feel his poison pouches under him and he didn't want to adjust his weight in such a way that would pop them. Nothing would happen, but he spent weeks making that amount of poison.

Leo snorted lightly and refused to move. He snarled at Xavier and glared at him a bit. He lifted up Xavier's shirt and snorted, before getting off of him and crossing his arms. He was looking at Xavier ad if he'd just committed a great offence or something. He growled lowly, rather irritated at this point. "Hmpf, you no have food..."

Xavier walks along the forested path. He wouldn't really call it that. It was just more walked on than most of the other directions from camp. He runs a hand through his hair, scratching the back of his neck as he looks around. "Hmm." He mutters to himself, noticing how cold it was. He grumbles and makes a mental note to make more poison as soon as possible, and sharpen more daggers to use. With the temperature going down, he'd be unable to use his animal form, and battles would be a lot tougher for him.

Leo smirked as he watched his prey. He stalked Xavier calmly, quietly, slowly getting closer. He paused a moment, before he lunged and suddenly tackled Xavier to the ground. He sniffed at him, trying to see if the boy had anything edible on his person. He was more than a little bit hungry, haVing been unable to really get a decent meal in the last few days. He'd kept being interrupted by various people and animals that barged through the forest. It was annoying honestly.

The quiet forest was only disturbed by a gentle breeze, and the normal bickering of the groups... and a rustle in the trees near the river. A branch swayed a bit as the weight of a ten year old boy came to perch upon them. He looked towards the river and wrinkled his nose in irritation at the large amount of water. He huffed softly and looked towards the other direction, deeper into the woods. He sniffed at the air a bit, before he started heading deeper into the woods, away from Neither territory. He smelled many people and it intrigued him, so he was investigating. He ended up noticing some movement, and spotting a boy with dark brown hair. He narrowed his eyes a bit and crouched down on the branch he was currently perched on, before sliding down silently and beginning to stalk him.
