Dimitri wasn't really listening to either of them, and smirked in whatever way he could at the man with the gun. He moved, only a brief after-image as his movement broke the speed of Ace's perception, looking to grab the gun away and drive his palm into the side of the man's head. Upon connecting, the move would send him sprawling.
Desmond finished cleaning up what remained of the pills. He felt an empty feeling in the pit of his stomach, as if he were longing for them for some strange reason, but the shadows quickly filled the hole with their darkness. His skin crawled with the wisps of dark power under it, like a burlap sack that upon falling away would reveal only blackness. The small black hands came back, and grasped at him softly, not harming or irritating him but causing the skin to crawl more. To get away from them, he tried to move through the shadows, but there it was a million times worse and larger hands grasped at him, threatening to pull him to God knows where. He crashed out of the shadows and into Luna's room, now fighting with invisible hands. "Grah!" When he realized they were gone he got up and noticed Luna, looking at her. "Luna?"
While the entire events with Mia had happened, Creed and Kevin had been arguing about something, somehow miraculously never seeing or reacting to any of the events, as well as dodging anything that did come their way with only a small interruption in their conversation. The two men kept arguing and soon they were fighting, running around Mia's place, completely ignoring the others as they got caught up in their own business. "...And that's why I was with her." Kevin finished, dodging another of Creed's swings, the said attack launching an arc of fire that imbedded itself and melted the wall where it hit, and Creed kept it up, the fire slices going pretty much everywhere. "You really are overprotective. Such a trait doesn't fit with you and the whole insanity thing." Creed finally hits him but it's with the pommel of the blade, making the other man take a small step back from the rather powerful impact to his chin. Kevin grabs Clarent and activates Crash in a small burst, but it only causes a small explosion and sends the blade spinning off to get stuck in the wall. "OW! YOU! FUCK! ING! DICK!" The blade wriggled free of the wall and fell to the ground. The blade bounces to it's... tip. "That hurt you motherfucker!" A pair of eyes popped out of the blade just below the hilt and a rather ferocious maw took form from mid-blade, making it seem jagged and bent. Despite this, it looked more comical than ferocious. "You don't have to be such an ass, you know I hate it when you do that!" The blade turned and looked at Mia, before quickly bouncing his way over to Creed, and jumping into his scabbard. "..." Creed pulls him back out and he's back to normal. "..." He looks at Kevin. "..."
So, what do the pills do exactly? Well, I think I know what they do, but what would a longer and longer time period without taking them do to a person who had previously been taking them and then just stops? Just wondering so I can know what to do with that aspect of my character.
Desmond got up as well, but he simply replied 'no problem' and got the mop and bucket, wanting to clean up the pills before any of the other nurses saw them. He imagined they wouldn't be too pleased, and he at least needed to seem like he was listening to them.
Dimitri laughed from a corner, having sat there unnoticed by man or beast. He smiled, his sharp teeth showing in a rather demonic grin, fit for such a creature as he. "I see you've made friends with the dire rabbits. They're like regular rabbits, but... dire... I dunno what they are really, just some really evil and angry motherfuckers." Suddenly the vampire was upon them and stared at the rabbit. He made a disgusted face, or what he could manage with a face stuck like his. "Gah. How can you eat that crap?" He sniffed and looked at Ace, his mouth opening to show a flickering, snake-like tongue and saliva dripped from his many fangs. "You, on the other hand, smell tasty."
Desmond saw the small pile of green pills. In one hand he picked them all up, and moved his hand over the floor. He gripped, crushing the pills, not taking his eyes off the back of Nurse Ann's head until she was gone, as the pills crumbled to dust/spilled out onto the ground (depending on what kind they are). "There."
Desmond said nothing, but moved to the seat between them and put an arm rather loosely around her, gently pulling her to him. If she fought free he wouldn't try it again, he just... had the strange need to comfort her. Strange? It wasn't strange for someone to want to comfort someone else, was it? No, no it wasn't. Then why did he think it strange himself?
Desmond sighed and sat down where he usually sat, and poked at his food. He wasn't hungry at all. In fact, he felt full. Not the kind when you eat too much or something like that, but... satisfied. The darkness was now seeping into him. Feeding him. He kept feeling the sensation of something moving under his skin, and the shadows whispered at him, small, black wispy hands caressed his face, and he heard sweet whispers. They sounded like his mother. _"Kill them all Desmond. You have the power to destroy the human race, the biggest filthiest race of all the animals. Pigs with arrogance to call themselves intelligent."_ He shook off the thoughts and the hands vanished; they were never there. He looked at Luna and saw she wasn't eating either. He dissolved into shadow and reappeared near her, one seat between them. "Are you OK Luna?" He asked this with a sympathetic voice but his eyes simply stared on. No care or reason in them. Dead, disconnected eyes. The rest of him showed caring and concern, but the eyes were cold. She would need to be pretty observant to tell, but it was there.
Desmond had been planning something, but hearing the call to dinner made him realize he was hungry. And one realization lead to another and he made his way to the kitchen, seemingly normal now. "Sorry about... earlier, Nurse Ann." He said as he confronted her, blushing. "I don't know what was up with me..." He thought about earlier, and was still confused on exactly why he had done that.
