This account is pretty inactive now. But I pop on from time to time to see if anything of interest pops up. I tend to drop out of things with writers block if I find myself lacking in interest, but do try to keep things long=term. Been offline for most of the last 12 months but hoping I might soon find something to get me back in that RP saddle.

Hi I'd just like to say I will be semi-away from 23rd to the 27th I'll have access to laptop, it's just not a very good laptop for posting. :P

"Damn it..." Akira mumbled to himself as the portal temporarily closed after he was shoved through, only opening once more to allow Allura through. When Allura reassured him, Akira smiled. "Yeah, not like it's his first run in with Reapers. He's been here for a while scoping the place out." Following after Allura as they headed deeper into the crypt it wasn't long before the chanting commenced on the passage that Allura was leading them on. He didn't understand what was being spoken in the chant but he recognised it clearly 'Necromancer' Akira thought to himself, drawing his sword in sync with Allura readying her staff.

As they got closer Akira moved his free hand to cover his nose, he had no intention of fully subjecting himself to horrid smells that would engulf their senses. He couldn't cut it off entirely but he could at least dampen its effects. Or so he thought, Akira almost instantly hunched over, the smell even more intrusive then he was used to from a Necromancers lair. He breathed heavily as his human side forced him to hurl from the wretched smell, his watery eyes observed the room cautiously wiping the natural reaction away to get a more clearer view just in time to hear "Ah, my guests are finally here... but I must say, I expected you two to arrive much earlier than this."
Easily provoked Akira responded. "So eager to die that you were growing impatient were we?"
"Now, now boy. There's no need for hostility. Come in, come in.... oh but do watch the devil traps"
Akira had already been walking into the room, before the offer was made and he staggered to the side as he forced himself to stop the natural order of walking to prevent himself stepping into one such trap. "So, you know why I'm here."
"But of course, Hades was ever so forth coming Akira, I know exactly why you're here. Oh, you can stop hiding by the way I know you're there." As the necromancer stopped speaking Hades stepped out from another connecting corridor, though something seemed slightly off it soon became clear that Hades was being forced to move.

"Tell us... it's Allura isn't it? Could you tell this man, is really undead from looking at him?" The necromancer asked indicating toward Hades. "Of course, he has all the indications to argue against it. For instance I find it fascinating how, well toned his skin is... for a man without a beating heart."
Akira looked at the floor trying to find a way through the devils traps in order to close the gaps, but to no avail.
"Yet despite being undead..." The necromancer walked towards the controlled Hades before ramming a knife into his gut. "If you stab him in the right place, when he looks like this at least... it does seem to hurt him fairly significantly."
As Hades hunched from the wound a black entity swirled beneath, and then seemed to grow and swallow him whole.
"Then he turns into this... robed skeleton, he's quite the interesting specimen. Much better then all the ones that are buried here." The necromancer, apparently finished with his demonstration stepped away from Hades. "But before we continue, to evenings main event. Do you know why Akira was so eager to deal with the local towns 'necromancer threat?"
Irvine was sitting, squeezed in with a bunch of other students at one of the cafeterias tables. He had opted to not try the 'casserole surprise' for now and was simply observing the situations occurring. Note pad in hand, Irvine scrawled down notes and diagrams that only he was likely to understand. As another student leaned in to try and see what he was doing, Irvine responded in kind leaning away to keep the pad from view as he made a few last points. Flipping the pad shut Irvine gave the other student a small smile as he pocketed it once more and returned to sitting normally.

With a sigh Irvine dug his fork into the 'food' lifting it in the air to examine it. What would normally be considered a surprise, was hardly that at all as the stubborn substance seemed to cling on. "What did they make this with, cement?" Irvine asked himself as he tried to shake the fork free. Eventually deciding to give up the teenager placed the fork back on the tray. "I don't know what would cause more harm, someone ingesting this or having it thrown at them." The boy continued to mumble as he returned to his observations. He was among the students that particular staff and teachers seemed to be hawk eyeing, as though expected to act up. For now Irvine would need to remain in this unwanted situation, sat next to some nosy brat, what he needed was a distraction.

"MR. BLACKWELL! GET DOWN FROM THAT TABLE THIS INSTANT OR YOU'LL HAVE DETENTION FOR A WEEK!" It was almost too perfectly time.
"Well that's my cue, enjoy the pig slop." Irvine stated as he used the situation to move from his current table. It occurred to him that he had not really given thought to where he was headed, and was now without a seat. With a somewhat stressed sigh Irvine began to wonder around looking for a different vantage point for his observations, sticking closer to larger groups of students to avoid the eyes of staff and teachers.
Name: Irvine Code

Gender: Male

Age (11 to 18): 18

Grade (6 to 12): 12

Sexual Orientation: Straight

Appearance:

Personality: Irvine is a very laid-back individual, stemming mostly from an anti-social record. He would prefer to observe a situation rather than partake, typically writing short hand notes during group conversations. To those he knows he's an open book, so long as there aren't too many people observing him. He considers himself somewhat of an anti-bully, not afraid to stand up for those who don't feel they can stand up for themselves.

Bio (at least a paragraph):
Irvine was the 'problem child', sent to private school in order to 'straighten him out'. Although this was only the first of many situations. Irvine couldn't help but stand in on situations such as bullying and fighting, and due to how often it occurred he'd regularly be blamed for it. This of course lead to him lashing out in his own defence. Over the years of his private schooling Irvine had a lot of difficulty trying to change this part of him, landing himself with fairly regular referrals, detentions and warnings of expulsion.

The explosive mood of the teen eventually died down, leaving him a laid back shell of a person he used to be. Within his early years of the school Irvine was kicked out of multiple clubs he was a member of due to his behaviour. His past choices led to him developing a anti-social personality, with very select few friends. But with this he became steadily more observant of what was happening around him and within school life. Although even now he still will stand up for fellow students, his carefulness eventually got him off the teachers hit list, although when he was caught it would be the typical drone on about how they thought he'd changed.

Coming to the end of his school life, Irvine was just starting to get to grips with trying to change himself. But no one could of foreseen the outbreak that would occur. It was that event that would prevent this student from changing after all.

Skills (for every skill, add a weakness):
Strategic - Irvine's natural desire to observe his surrounding situation allows him to formulate ideas, plans in his own mind, which have proven helpful in the past during group assignments.
Bravery - Not afraid of getting into a fight or taking on a tough challenge.
Anti-bully - Strong link with bravery, doesn't take kindly to other students being ganged up on.

Weaknesses:
Lost in the moment - When situations suddenly arise or drastically change, Irvine often becomes flustered when he hasn't taken account for it.
Fool hardy - Doesn't fully accept the limits of his capabilities when taking into account bravery.
The trouble maker - Due to Irvine's past mistakes in school (well documented in his files) Irvine is often seen/mistaken to be the root cause of any problem situation he tries to intervene on.

Extracurricular Activities: Chess club (Mainly joined to help with his group observation/strategic thought process), boxing (ex-member, restricted access to the gym)
Inventory: School Uniform (scruffy shirt, but ironed slacks, prefers boots to shoes), School ID, notepad (used for scrawling notes in group situations), sharpened pencil, fingerless leather gloves (often confiscated).
If we wanna go full on with it sure robes :P probably black & red.

Nothing particular comes to mind, although I feel possibly making him blind in one eye, pale complexion due to his work should work?
Pretty typical necromancer type. So essentially a mage/alchemist who experiments on the dead. So we're probably gonna have a couple of corpses in there, maybe a few jars of random body parts. Maybe a/some sigil(s) painted on the floor/walls. metallic torch stands etc. Due to most of the things within the room it's likely to have a very vile smell. Possibly the idea that they hear some chanting in an ancient tongue which eventually gives away his position.

The necromancer himself would likely have a very dark but calm persona about him. Possibly more surprised about how long it took for them to arrive than the fact that they'd found him.

Is this enough to work with, or do you want more? ^_^
I believe that I'm likely to bump into Xerox's group first? Assuming that's correct I'll make it happen on my next post.
Firstly, welcome back! /big hugs.

Sorry for the delay, I haven't been too well but feeling better now.

Just wanted to say, the reason why Akira doesn't just go back through the portal to help Hades is because it's basically one way. The other side of the portal is essentially the stone walls of the crypts modern corridors.

Would you like to create the scene for the Necromancers domain? Or would you rather I did it on my next post?
As the group struggled on through the narrowing wall space Akira stopped occasionally to ensure Allura was keeping pace with them. The only way to do this eventually came to having dust the wall with his forehead just to look back. "Surely, it can't go on much further." Akira answered to Allura. "This is starting to get Ridiculous. Hades! How much further?" There was no response. Akira rolled his eyes as he turned his head back to the route they were travelling, a bend in the passageway had cut off Hades from the line of sight. With a sigh he turned back to Allura once more, sneezing as his own head wafts dust in his face. "How you holding up with all this? Kind of a lot to keep pace with huh? I promise as soon as we've dealt with this Necromancer, we'll have a chance for some respite." A long awaited true rest, given their last one was rather rough with them.

As they spoke Akira slowly etched his way along the wall, his back scrapping up against the uneven stones. But as he progressed the walls seemed to come to continuous bends almost zig-zaging. but never truly turning them around at any point. Akira almost fell flat on his face when the opening widened suddenly due to the effort of having to squeeze out of the tight space. Before him Hades was stood almost completely still, he didn't speak, didn't turn to look at Akira or Allura he just stood staring ahead of him. "What are you doing?" Akira asked. Straight after which a screech echo'd down the hall towards them.
"Akira, the fallen hunter. Hades, the eternal damned... this is a fine occassion." A voice spoke, filling the air with an instantaneous chill as it did so. Hades raised his hand toward the wall beside him, is surface becoming waved like water.
"Go... now, head north. We'll regroup at the Necromancers domain." Hades whispered. Before Akira had the chance to object, Hades grabbed him with his gloved hand and shoved him through the opened portal. "You go too." Hades said to Allura not turning back as he drew his sword. "I'll hold this thing off." Hades stroked the blade as he spoke "The powers of Hell I beseech thee!" The blade igniting with a blue flame as he charged down the now open path to the Reaper.
