This account is pretty inactive now. But I pop on from time to time to see if anything of interest pops up. I tend to drop out of things with writers block if I find myself lacking in interest, but do try to keep things long=term. Been offline for most of the last 12 months but hoping I might soon find something to get me back in that RP saddle.

Irvine was taken aback when hedges suddenly cut him off from everyone else. He glanced around himself, hedges... and more hedges. "I'm just going to guess that isn't a normal thing." He mumbled to himself. Then he saw something, a ghostly white fox on top of the hedges swaying its tail at him. Irvine shook his head at it. "uhm... no." he simply stated, but looking around he tried to take into account any other possible routes there might be for him to take. Normally when things beckoned to be followed in Irvine's life those doing the beckoning could not be trusted.

Looking up the hedges seemed to difficult to climb, he wasn't a climber. Irvine glanced up to see the fox still eagerly watching him, Irvine simply returned a glare to its gaze. He thought he could hear others calling out. "Smells like a trap." Irvine called out."Probably best to treat it with caution." Irvine waited until the fox moved on some more and then summoned the darkness as a mimic next to him. As it formed the two faced one another, each placing a closed left fist on their right palm. They looked each other in the eyes then Irvine spoke. "One... Two... Three!... BAH!" How does one lose to their own shadow?! With a sigh Irvine began to cautiously proceed, his shadow mimic following a few steps back.

Irvine nodded appreciatively to the headmaster for the comments he'd made to him. It was strange to have done something worth recognising, but somehow he'd pulled it off. Once the headmaster had finished speaking Irvine picked his rucksack back up and swung it over his shoulder before reaching in his pocket and pulling out the school map, planning the route to his room. The young began his journey to the dorms trying to make mental notes of anything worth checking out later on. His shadow un-naturally out of sync followed behind him, although headless due to his hood. As Irvine reached his dorm room he reached in his pocket once more for the key unlocking the door and glancing around, it appeared that Keith had not come here yet. Assessing the room, Irvine simply said. "Mine." grabbing his bag to fling it to the bed of his choosing. The bag, battered and worn however would not take this clear act of abuse as the old strap ripped in Irvine's grip. What most would consider pointless junk spilled out in a line to the bed with his back hitting on of the legs. Irvine sighed as he began to half-assed push his possessions with his foot over to the bed. "Still mine." he commented to himself before leaving and locking the door once more.

To save himself aimlessly wandering Irvine decided to make his way outside. A chance to see what was outside the walls might produce something fruitful, maybe. Outside however it was quite bright, more so than Irvine would particularly like. This however was likely to be a regular problem, he just needed to find somewhere not so light. That it's when he saw it, and them. A high hedge in a rather straight fashion with an opening cut into it. By the opening was several other students, social skills wasn't his strong point by this place looked like it'd keep a good amount of light away. Irvine made his way over, nodding to the other students as he looked up at the hedge that he was now stood beside, as he glanced through the opening he could make out a few more openings, and more hedges. Used to spending his entire life in middle of cities, Irvine turned to the other students already present slightly puzzled. "What is the purpose? It reminds me of an alleyway, though I don't see why someone would purposely make one out of bushes." He looked to Leval who seemed clearly the most excited. "You know something..." @EurmalEye
Hmmm... a boss... interesting. :P

I don't know if I'll be able to keep up but don't want to be left out. /dashes to the IC page to post something.
Irvine stood watching through his shadow hood as one by one students showed off their abilities. There were those that wanted to show brutality, some that just wanted to introduce themselves and give a basic display. A mixture of occurrences from a mixture of creatures all for their mixed up audience. It was quite the impressive display, for the most part, it almost made Irvine feel completely out of place. Eventually the confident numbers drew thin and it was getting close to people being volunteered instead of volunteering. But it was a simple enough to procedure to endure, watching others have their moments in the spot light. It took sometime but it eventually dawned on Irvine, he had to do this too. The time had come as Irvine took a less than confident step forward volunteering to go next, he raised his head slightly just enough to peer at the students from under his hood before stepping into the training room.

He faced the other students as he tried to steady his own breathing. He nervously reached up and pulled the hood off revealing himself fully for the first time since all of this had begun. Irvine merely stared them down for a moment, though the fidgeting from his hands was evident of some attempt to compose himself. As he did so, his shadow, cast behind him slowly began to creep back up over him. Irvine quickly shook it loose as he looked back. "Back off!" he barked as he turned back to face the audience of students. "I-Irv-..." The boy sighed as he struggled to speak to normal people but not his own shadow. He glanced to his side and his shadow began to take form until eventually the shadows had morphed themselves into a replica of Irvine. "Irvine Code." The shadow created Irvine even mimicked his lip movements. "Though, feel free to call me Shade. That is what those that do not understand me tend to call me. How can they understand me? When I don't?" Irvine chose not to bother with the helmet, who the hell wanted to see a room full of back alleys anyway. "I can manipulate the darkness. I can shape it, morph it to my will. It can copy me..." The shadow creation ran off to the side before disappearing. "Or do something entirely different." Irvine was no longer facing the students simply staring at the ground.

He thought of leaving the room but then remembered. Fumbling the leather straps Irvine presented the plain metal hilt. "This is the Shadow Hilt. Anyone who I end up training with are likely to see what it's for." The idea of unlimited power would serve greatly to the Shadow Hilt, Irvine would be able to create immense weapons. "I don't consider my abilities to be anything grand, after all, everyone has a weakness..." Irvine glanced over to Shekemim then to kong, as his shadow hood quickly raced and covered Irvine's face. "Being cocky about your power, is pointless in a room filled with it." His statement was completely void of any emotional stance, he wasn't attempting to anger or provoke, simply stating. Having finished his piece, Irvine stepped out of the training room and leaned against a wall giving a long, deep sigh. It had been the most he'd spoken in a long time, even if most of what he said was to the floor and not the audience.
I'll get my post up after physio.
Once everyone had safely made it to the vehicles Jake Radioed in "We're clear, Charlie team exfil the prison and get back in position ASAP. Delta, thanks for the assist, return to primary. Echo, get eyes back on the main roads." Everything seemed to have gone relatively well, better in fact than the SeeD had initially anticipated. As he clambered into one of the vehicles the ground team Galbadian's that were present scrambled for the same vehicle. Once everyone had got moving Jake radioed in once more. "Gentlemen, it's been a pleasure working with you all. Ditch this frequency and the radio's I gave you. Charlie, remember if you see anything mobilising that's bigger then a search party you need to radio straight back to Garden." With that said Jake turned to his supporting ground SeeD. "If any of you file this in your report, I will find out."

But it would seem everything was going too smoothly as the Jake turned the radio frequency as he tapped to Delta teams specific channel. "-firmed Launch! I repeat we have confirmed launch!" Jake pulled his vehicle in behind Duncan's who'd come to a halt after seeing for himself. It was too late, to do anything now to prevent the damage of the first missile. It was Delta teams responsibility to watch the Silo, but they were officially the only team also assigned to the prison break mission due to the proximity of both objectives to one another. Jake got out of his vehicle along with his ground team. Upon hearing Duncan's decision on how they would proceed Jake nodded and gave the orders to his ground team who would be proceeding on foot after they were a bit further within the mainland.

After observing as multiple members of the team gave Duncan helpful pieces of equipment Jake stepped forward holding out his radio. "Take it. It'll provide you with a direct comms link to Delta team. They'll be able to give you some intel on guard rotations and positions within the base. If things go south, they'll make sure you get out in one piece." The SeeD thought to himself before continuing. "Was there something you wanted to discuss?" Jake had noticed Duncan's several cut off attempts to converse with him, he looked over his shoulder at his support team and the other SeeD. "Possibly away from prying ears." Duncan was on the right path of action, Balamb was likely to be the next target for both obvious reasons, and the not so obvious.
I plan to get something up tomorrow after work, I think I've caught up on everything that's happened in my time away.
I'm hoping it might ease of Monday-Friday as I'll only be able to post after 6pm GMT on those days >.<
It didn't take long for the situation to quickly escalate into a frenzy between two. As Irvine readied himself for engagement, he froze on the spot as the person he was standing beside was knocked away like a bug from ones shoulder. Though he had aimed to try and prevent such events Sekhemi showed little difficulty of evading Irvine's attempts to keep him away from the creature that had attacked first. It would seem that it wouldn't end in Sekhemi's favour as he too was incapacitated by the larger creature. Irvine turned toward the creature not volunteering to approach himself but not looking to retreat either. Then another new face, though they displayed immense power in their first few moments of arrival dispersing the magic affects that most had lamented in an attempt to stop the infighting.

He watched carefully as the creature was slowly subdued, mindful to keep his distance from its powerful tail. As he was addressed by this new man he was both somewhat confused and by the mans knowledge of his name, and then loosely ashamed though not enough to be remorseful, of his actions. "Demon? Interesting.." Irvine had mumbled to himself, yet another creature he had assumed to be noting more than myth. He swiftly swung the Shadow Hilt down at its side and the weapon had returned to the form of the metal trinket it really was, strapping the hilt back into place. He observed as this man addressed people one at a time, following his line of sight to put names to people. As the stairs materialised Irvine began to make his way over, a small glance of confusion towards the lad that had been knocked afar by a tail and now looking no worse for wear. He somewhat rudely prodded at Keith's back somewhat unconvinced by what he was seeing."That's quite the trick." Irvine did not stick around for a response as he moved his right hand to his rucksack strap to hold it together for the journey ahead, staircase to the sky... this could take a while.
Quite the scene had unfolded in the short time Irvine had been at the field. The main attraction seemed to be an animal parade followed by an individual, riding on... an Elephant? Weird. Although it definitely wasn't the strangest thing Irvine had seen that day, creatures he thought to be just legends were spread out ahead of him. Irvine silently watched as occurrence after occurrence, clearly something had happened on the elephant riders entrance as his animal parade had been changed from their glorious original appearance to looking more scruffy than zoo animals. A small smile appeared on Irvine's lips before he knew what was really going on, was there about to be fighting, here?

Hesitantly Irvine began to get closer to the situation to get a better view point. As he did so he fumbled the Shadow Hilt free from the leather straps and his shadow began, travelling down his right arm and above the hilts end growing into a rounded shape just over a foot in length. Its form was wavy as the shadow intertwined on itself to take form. He was just barely able to maintain the hood over his head, the scruffy looking black blazer and trousers he was wearing no longer hid in his own shadow. By the time he was in observing distance the... elephant rider, still weird... was spewing obscenities at a man with a staff and the woman stood beside him. That was when an object shot past him with some speed, as he looked to the path of trajectory, the bone had already hit its mark(?) Needless to say it didn't look like it would help the situation.

Finally there was one final person who had chosen to get involved standing in the middle of the commotion. Irvine swung the shadow hilt towards his left hand, the club/baton had fully interwoven itself into a solid object. Possibly against his best interest of not wanting attention Irvine stepped over toward the one that was standing in the middle of it all. In turn he glanced to the three parties aside from the middle stander, the staff wielder and girl, the elephant rider and finally the... what was that? No matter, Irvine lifting his head looked to the person he was now stood beside and motioned to his club before uttering a single word "Deterrent." Irvine's time of fending for himself taught him many lessons one of which being, sometimes, some violence was required to prevent worse violence.
