"Aghh...what's the point," Kate sighed, before going forward with her confession. "I sell bottles of barbiturates and vodka to people up at the train station, since my boss hates me so much. She makes me floss every hour and forces me to work long hours at the casino on weekends, so I had no choice! But...fine, I spent most of my time during the beginning of my shift at the train station, selling some bottles that night. I know that I sold a blue bottle of vodka mixed with some heavy barbiturates to Sam and Harry, though and they even drank it from two shot glasses that I gave to them. The only person I took note of at the casino was Samuel because of his huge outburst and drunken misdemeanor, but I managed to push him out of the casino at around 8:20 PM. In the dead of night, I tried to head back to the train station, but all I managed to do was cut myself on a brooch before I was caught by Ramirez. That's...everything I can tell you." She passed Charles a list of all of the guests that she took note of that night, alongside a small slip of paper that she found by the body. "I found this when I called the police, but it seems to be mostly blank..." She was right, the paper had nothing written, except for some minor imprints on parts of the paper. Would Charles be smart enough to find a way to find out what was once written on the sheet of paper above this one?

Chapter 3:

At this point in time, Jones and James were still watching over Harry Krane, but Jones was walking around the general vicinity at the same time, checking his key-card and looking at a few doors...until Jones noted that one of the doors had some glass paneling that he could see through. Looking through, he could see some ripped papers and a few folders lying across a grey meeting table, which sparked his attention. "Hmm..." he thought, before deciding to wait on Charles to arrive, since he could use his expertise. However, as he continued to walk around the stock market, going back into the casino one final time, something huge caught his attention and made him jump! The samurai sword, the weapon that was used to kill Samuel, lay upon the floor, with its' blade covered in blood!

(You actually skipped the entire battle with her with your interrogation skills, nice work.)

Objective 16A: "Search the Stock Market’s Dealing Room using Greene’s Keycard." has been added!
Objective 16B: Interrogate Kate Murphy about the sword." has been completed!
Objective 16C: "Find a way to see the message on the notepad paper." has been added!
"Unfortunately, I was only at the party with my friend that night. He did say something about going to the casino after the party, but I had my alcohol with my barbiturates and the rest of the night was just one big blur. Sorry about that, officers. I can tell you that although we partied together and made money together, having him out of the picture will reduce the amount of competition left until I make it to the top." "You're certainly piling it on rather harshly for your friend," Jones noted. "Shouldn't you have cared more for him?" "I don't think it in the slightest, he was just another "wonder-kid"," Harry continued, as he took out a small bottle of face cream. "So yes, I do use face cream, but it's only on rare occasions when I want to look ravishing for the higher-ups, I'm not wearing it right now. And you appear to have a seed stuck between your teeth, Detective Jones...would you care for some floss?" Jones was insulted by this man's remark and snapped, "Why, you...! Keep it up and you'll be the one who'll be stuck...behind bars!" That seemed to end Jones' line of questioning, but if Charles and James had any questions, they could ask him and he would answer them in this blunt manner.
"There's no need to worry, I've said everything that I need to tell you!" Zeus replied as he walked towards the car, buckling himself in before letting Charles enter. He immediately slammed on the accelerator and sent the car speeding down several streets in the reverse order of what Charles saw just a few moments ago, as the vehicle narrowly missed several turns, but surely enough, managed to reach the stock market in a record-breaking time as Zeus intercepted another phone call. "Well, I gotta go take care of another client, but go get that killer, Charles!" Just as Charles would step out of the vehicle, Zeus would speed down the streets at his usual pace, putting his own life at risk as he sped off to pick up another stock trader. However, Charles would also have his phone number on hand, so he could call Zeus whenever he wanted to have him drive him around the city.

As for Jones and James, they were also approaching the stock market, getting out of their patrol car at around the same time as Charles left the taxi. And just as they did, they would come face to face with a man who couldn't be older than 30 with blonde hair and a black suit that was rather similar to the victim's. Underneath this suit, he wore a white dress shirt and a red tie, with a Rolex watch being equipped to his wrist. "You must be Officer Jones," the man told the advancing officers, as he faced David Jones. "I was told that my colleague had been murdered and that you were the one who found me out. In that case, I shall tell you everything that you wish to know."

Objective 16B: "Interrogate Kate Murphy about her arrest at the station." has been added!
"I can't be too sure, but I want to make sure that he has an alibi for when the crime occurred, Jackson. As for the evidence that I have on hand, I want to make sure that I get to see his stock trader's card and it wouldn't hurt to ask him about that party at Gecko Street Station to see if he attended it or not," Jones concluded as they continued to drive in his squad car, inching closer and closer to the stock market, where Harry Krane would await them.
"That'd be quite right, Mr. Charles! There was one person in the taxi that day when I drove him, but he kept talking about a man when he was in the back seat! This man, this man by the name of Harry Krane was apparently a friend of his and he was set to be at this grand party tonight! I would have attended it if it wasn't for my work..." he made a pause as he glanced around the confetti strewn across the floor, "but he did tell me that he was going to be ingesting some heavy amounts of alcohol at this party. After that, I just let him out of my taxi after he paid the fare and I sped off." That would be all for Zeus' testimony, but as he completed this, Ramirez took all of the bagged needles and substances and took them to the station to be analyzed, as Grace would most likely get back to Charles with some information, being an expert in the subject.

Back at the station, Jones informed Jackson about what had happened in their case, as he gave him a spare Class 2 key-card that he had on hand from Greene's visit. He told him about how Kate had thrust-ed an umbrella at the victim and how that umbrella is currently being analyzed against the footage, alongside the new lead at Gecko Street Station. He informed him about how a samurai sword found at the casino might have been the murder weapon and finally, how there were some traces of facial cream on the sword. "It's a shame that our killer doesn't take their sanity as seriously as their hygiene!" Jones commented as he finished explaining the crime to Jackson. "Do you have any theories yet or do you want to get-" he was cut off as Alex, the tech analyst, ran up to Jones, telling him about his latest venture. "It actually wasn't that hard to find the guy. Once you cracked down on his Friend Net profile, all you had to do was just check his latest images on the site and voila! - I got his phone number. From there, I told him about his friend's death and told him to go to the stock market for some further questioning, so he should be at the entrance." "Well, it looks like Alex here has managed to track down Harry Krane, so it wouldn't hurt to talk to the victim's co-worker at the stock market, now, wouldn't it?" Jones inquired, walking down the hallway to get into his squad car.

Objective 11B: "Investigate Gecko Street Station for any potential leads." is complete!
Objective 13B: "Wait for all of the station's evidence to be analyzed." has been added!
Objective 14A: "Interrogate Harry Krane about the victim." has been added!
"Not at all!" Ramirez exclaimed, taking the pill bottle from Charles as he set it into a plastic bag, ready to examine it for fingerprints and for blood. However, shockingly enough, Charles would have to do a bit of digging to find some needles towards the bottom of the trash, but would also find something towards the top of the trash can, a brooch that was smeared with a bit of blood. Other than the needles, he would also find some spare pills, a few bottles of alcohol, two large blue bottles of vodka and a bit of white powder at the top of the trash can. As he continued to search through the can, he would hear some faint laughing, before a man burst down the stairs, sliding down the banisters while he was dressed in a white suit and matching white and black hat! "Hah! It's a fine day to encounter a police officer such as yourself. The name's Zeus, Grimsborough's finest taxi driver, with my 100 kilometer guarantee! I'll go at a speed of 100 kilometers per hour, or you'll get your money back!" He let out a hearty chuckle as he greeted Officer Ramirez once more.
The cab driver firmly stepped onto the accelerator and sent the cab flying down the street, twisting past several districts, passing by Greene's neighborhood, a small dock and the Eastfield Market until it stopped at a subway station that wouldn't look too out of place in the city. Its granite steps long abandoned and soaked in alcohol, Charles would have to watch his step if he were to head down the stairs. However, at the bottom of this pit, he would find an assortment of alcohol strewn across the floor, with a pile of bottles lying by the steps. A prescription bottle for some pills would be lying on its side, almost as if someone had tried to take it with them, while a bunch of confetti and party darts lay around on the train tracks.

Ramirez immediately came to Charles' side as he entered the dank terminal, giving him some more information. "Actually, I took the time to actually look through those arrest reports and I found something that you might find rather interesting!" he reported, passing him a report from early on this morning. "Apparently, Kate was trying to break into the station, but since it was illegal to be here in the first place, she was given a small fine for her break-in." It looks like Charles had an important investigation ahead of him and he had a myriad of places to start from.

Objective 10B: "Use Ramirez’s call and go to the station to talk to the taxi driver." is complete!
Objective 11B: Investigate Gecko Street Station for any potential leads." has been added!
A samurai sword sheath was one of the objects that Charles found as Jones continued to drive down the hallway, taking Kate to a cell for future questioning. As he found it, it would have a light scent on it, possibly that of some facial cream, but what was more important is that the brightly colored sheath lacked its sword! It was now very probable that the samurai sword contained within this sheath could have been the murder weapon, but without the weapon on hand, it would be impossible to prove that the weapon killed him, although a complex forensic test could prove it.

However, this does mean that the killer must have entered the casino some time prior to the murder to collect the sword and with that, the floss and facial cream was beginning to help Charles and Jones in building the killer's profile. Jones eventually stopped his car in front of the police station and let Kate in, motioning to King on the way in that she was only a "potential" suspect and might not even be their killer. "Careful, Jones. Your job as an officer is to take every suspect into account, no matter who they may be," King warned Jones as he led her into a holding cell and locked the door behind him, leaving Kate alone for the time being. "As for Greene, you dealt with him in a secure manner, but this will not be the last that you see of him. I want you to put him as your first priority while you're in this district, understood?" Jones nodded back to King, a sure reminder to the chief that Jones was well aware of Greene's power.
Kate walked over to the desk in the front as Jones closely watched her, right before she removed her umbrella and gave it over to Jones, who took it before cuffing her and leading her over to the patrol car outside. "I'm going to make sure that she gets a good cell, but if you need to ask her anything, just come by the station and she'll be in one of the rooms. I'm counting on you to search the station without me, but with me at the station, I'll make sure that this Harry Krane fellow is brought to the stock market or the station, whatever's closer to him," Jones finished as he shut the casino door behind him, leaving Charles in silence. If he was especially watchful with Kate's testimony, there might be one more thing that could be worth searching, but if he didn't pick up on it, his next goal should be to examine the train station in further detail.
As the footage played, Kate gave her testimony, beginning to tell Charles the tale of what happened that day.

--Chips and Rye-- (Moderato)

I checked in for my shift at 6 PM that night with my key-card, but it all went well until Samuel Rye stumbled into the joint, drunk as can be.
He couldn't even slur out his words, so I had to forcefully remove him from the casino once he started to disturb the others.
The argument that I had between him was by some of the decorative items that the casino had on display, but I didn't do anything else.
After that, I didn't have any more disturbances for the night, up until the time that Samuel's body was discovered in the stock market.

Just as Kate completed her testimony, Jones awoke with a sharp jolt, pointing to a part in the video. "Look at this, Charles, you're going to want to see this! You haven't heard the worst of what happened that night..." he continued as he prodded at a shot where the cameras that were normally tilted to the player's hands perked up for a moment to get a clean shot of the worker, Kate Murphy, threatening the victim with..."A SAMURAI SWORD!" Kate seemed rather startled, but immediately tried to correct herself. "P-please officers, that was just a umbrella! It may look like a sword, but...I swear that I only lost my temper when he started prodding me with his wallet and I shoo'd him away with it!" Kate Murphy exclaimed, immediately trying to re-collect herself from all of this undue suspicion. What will Charles trust, his own gut instinct, the video or what Kate Murphy's trying to tell him? He could always perform a cross-examination of her testimony, as after all, it was well within his rights.
