Zayn - East Watch Tower
Zayn brought a hand to the stinging side of his face as he recoiled from Dirge’s blow. Things had become a full brawl, and frankly it didn’t seem to being going their way. Zayn rose to his feet and stumbled back away from the combatants, hoping to make it towards the base of the tower and the explosive. Why was the orc holding his blows? Was it honor? Mercy? Pity?
We can no more abandon our Duty than you can, Dirge. Zayn shot at the silver-plated orc’s mind.
You understand then where that puts us. You are clearly an honorable and just fighter. Zayn continued. He wasn't lying - the orc chose to parlay before the blades chose to charge in with their swords drawn, and had held back his strength, urging them to retreat instead of killing them. The orc had certainly been more virtuous fighter despite his questionable loyalties.
It seems strange that one like yourself would serve a man who fights with shadows and lies. If nothing else, attempting to entertain a philosophical conversation would pull the orc's attention in yet another direction.
Zayn moves behind the explosive, and kneels before it, looking for some way to tamper with it to make it useless. He might as well try to do something useful while everyone else was busy getting the tar beat out of them. And the bomb, after all, was the reason they were here!
Why does one of honor fight for James Moriarty?
