How is it that I can operate under 3 hours of sleep just fine, but when I'm given a decent 6-8 hours zombie mode is activated?

Bio

I work full time, go to school full time, and whatever time I have off is spent either exercising, eating, reading, watching sports, or rping. This makes for a mundane Algorhythm, but a functioning one no less.

Sweet! @Zero Hex and np on the sheet. Just glad I got someone interested. I should have my own up pretty soon.
I have an RP out right now in casual that isn't gaining any traction and figured I'd extend an invitation over here for anyone interested in a concept like this. Kung-Fu, Magic, and Sword fighting with a shade of detective work. Willing to keep it 1x1. Feel free to PM me or post in the OOC!

Looking for some Kung Fu Magic with a dash of Detective Work?

Theme Song:

Name/Nickname: Yuo "The Wine Viper" Zhang. Jokingly calls himself: "The Alcoholic Eagle"
Age: 30
Gender: Male

Political Affiliation: Neutral
Fighting Style: The martial art itself has no official title. Yuo is often heard calling it after his own personal nickname: The Wine Viper style. It is an unpredictable, free-flowing fighting art that can be paradoxically elegant and outright obnoxious; meant to distract, feint, and counter from odd angles while maintaining defensive elusiveness. Yuo is not proficient with combat weapons, but he is a master at disarming them from assailants. The Wine Viper is heavily scrutinized in the Martial Arts community, seen more as a performing arts joke than an actual fighting style.
Personality: Yuo Zhang is a self-proclaimed poet, jolly and carefree as the wind. Responsibilities are put on the back burner as the self-proclaimed 'young master' is a man guided by his emotions. While he doesn't exemplify the mannerisms of a nobleman, he exudes a peculiar charm that draws people in.

History: Yuo Zhang is famously known as the black sheep of his family. His father is Grandmaster Di Zhang, one of the most respected martial artists in Daokai. Him and three other masters are overseers of the Iron School teachings. His brother, Hua Zhang, is equally (if not more) respected in Daokai for personally rescuing the Empress from a Thieves Guild. He has recently achieved Sword Saint status, the youngest martial artist to do so in Daokai. His sister, Xia, is a prominent official of the Imperial court, the first woman to do so in the Sky dynasty. She is loved for her calligraphy and storytelling with the Guzheng. Then there's his late mother, Lady Shumei, whose legendary singing voice commanded the entire City of Virtue to contemplative silence.

As for Yuo's accomplishments? He once single handedly drank a winery dry, submitted a wild boar in a mud wrestling competition, and survived a 300 foot drop off of a sea cliff, all in the same night. The exact order of those events are unknown. Suffice to say that such feats are omitted from the family scrolls. It makes one wonder why the Empire chose Yuo as one of the heroes tasked to finding The Pale Hunter. His brother Hua was originally the court's favorite pick, but Daokai's hero declined for reasons unknown. Some say the good brother wanted to give Yuo a chance to bring honor to their family name. Others say his sister Xia swayed the courts in favor of Hua's safety. He had a family after all. Nominating Yuo in his place offered the chance to rid the Zhang family from his shameful insolence once and for all.

Whatever the case was, in the end, the Emperor and Prime Minister Guan Zen were left with Yuo as the only alternative candidate from the Zhang family. While Yuo wasn't as respected and loved like his siblings were, the legend of his tomfoolery is well-received by regular folk - especially children. Their intention for him was to be more like a clown of the group, showcasing a lighter mood to an otherwise daunting task.

NPCs

The village of shrines is like an aged paper lantern, slowly wilting into the earth, smearing away old history along with it. It was built during the Xan Dynasty in honor of the Mud Orphan, Onan. Once viewed by onlookers with awe, many of which traveled from across the realm to pay their respects to the venerable legend. Now, it sits empty and neglected, surrounded by a forest of thieves and bandits that have pillaged its antiquities dry. Through its cobblestone steps and wild overgrowth, a candle is lit. The wax coating is a peculiar red, and even more peculiar is the green flame silently dancing above it. This candle sits on top of a wide marble table, which unlike the decaying furnishings surrounding it, is polished clean. As if from thin air, a pale-faced man appears before the table and sets a ruffled bag on its center. The dark fluid seeping from its bottom makes an unpleasant sound as it touches the table surface. The man utters an incantation, then abruptly unties the bag to reveal a decapitated head. A dim light can be seen in those dead eyes, as if the soul was trying to cling onto its last bits of mortal flesh. The green flame dances lively at the sight.

"So long as your name echoes across the grand halls of eternity, I will walk down the devil's path until all heads bow before you." The man turns away from the altar and disappears into the forest. He does not watch the green flame ignite into the misty silhouette of a demon. He does not watch it peel flesh and life force until a skull is laid bare. His sights are only set on the next offering, and he will keep doing so until the debt is paid...

Hello! I'm looking to get back into the rping scene again and hope to get people interested in this fantasy-based Ancient Asia theme I've been meaning to run with for some time. Magic, Sword fighting, martial arts, etc.

The basic plot is that a not so friendly individual is going around murdering people. The Prime Minister of the land is appointed by the Emperor to form a group of martial artists (that would be us) to capture and/or kill the suspect. You can either be a volunteer, or be forced to join for whatever reason.

The current Emperor in power is not a kind ruler, and his dynasty's reign has seen its fair share of rebellions and corruption. With a serial killer on the loose, tension between the people and government is at an all time high, and the Emperor sees this as an opportunity to regain trust by enlisting popular heroes to fight under his name.

Looking for a small group (3-4) of people looking to have some magical kung fu fun without being mean to each other in OOC :)
