Weather control would be a very high class of relic. Messing around with that is extremely dangerous. A minor thunderstorm where one doesn’t belong is highly likely to have global consequences. Sure, it's impressive... But do you want to spend the next six months running around correcting weather patterns so that an ice age is avoided?

Lol, I'm guilty of including too much unnecessary details of others' posts in mine. And Ellri... you do know I was just saying what people without any of that knowledge could assume what was happening? :'D (Or are you half-jokingly-spouting-real-info and am I just too tired to notice that? haha)

Yeah but that's where most people (who were in the arena) witnessed how the guards posted there were slain, wasn't it?
But it's true that Shin just ignored the lighting fuss like the stoic person he is. Solely focussed on one fight, unable to notice the other xD

Also, Sep: I don't know if that was part of your plan, but the lightbeam will make Shin lose his focus, making him at least partly visible. Just for your info. :)

Relieved that the man apparently wasn't just a brute but someone with kindness and manners, Marcus bowed back. "I can quite understand your behavior... with everything that's been happening today." Obediently he followed the man to the boat where the man's companion was waiting. "I am known as the 'Starry Vagabond', and me and this relic scholar are leaving the city by boat. We will likely be unnoticed when the main invaders are inside the city or near the main gates. If you wish to come, hop on board." Marcus could see where the man had gotten -at least part- of his nickname from. His eyes were fierce and seemed to shine like stars in the only part of his face that wasn't covered in cloth. Curiously he looked at the other man. His posture and glasses confirmed that he was indeed a scholar. "Relic scholar". Would he have somehow noticed that Marcus was a relic user? He quickly abandoned that thought, it was impossible. If that sort of power really existed, there would be no living evokers left.

Marcus quickly descended into the small boat. He dropped his bag and bow in as well and shoved the arrow back into its quiver, all in utter silence. After he had finished, he took down the cloth covering his mouth with one finger and extended his other hand, figuring that'd be the polite thing to do. "Pleasant to meet you. My name is Marcus and I can row, cook, hunt and make shelters once we're off the lake and in the wilds, so yeah I hope I'll be allowed your company." His accent was barely noticeable and a small smile crossed his face. Marcus quickly pulled the cloth back up, rather not being told that that smile looked oddly feminine.

Wouldn't most just assume that Myth has the power of weather control? It'd make thunder, lighting and darkness not the oddest thing that's currently going on.

I assume that the best the Yuushinto's can do is sent a spy to infiltrate somewhere as a servant or something like that, search through libraries, translate the more important things and copy them (which would take years and years, just for a single book since they'd have to ask the library for permission unless they'd do it secretly) or pressure people into spilling their secrets (however that'll only happen in specisl cases since they don't want Da-Hyun to get a bad reputation.... Besides the plundering - pirates - thing....) and of course their own observations when travelling (a city's architecture will tell you a lot about possible defence mechanisms). So then a secret that ha s been kept as well as the Vocators wouldn't be known by them.
