I have a new computer and am dealing with some RL related stuff with it (transfering important files, etc), so I will probably not be able to get any roleplaying done this weekend.

There are lots of kinds of demons. Some ice-themed, some not. But fiends in general (that is, demons and other lower beings) tend have resistance to fire, if not immunity.

Ikina is not a full half-demon or even close. The ancestry in her is nonspecfic and diluted - when House Gleaves ran the region, they were almost all half-fiend or quarter fiend, and they had no problem..."spreading the love", as it were, amongst their subjects at their whim. So what Ikina has is enough demonic/fiendish blood for it to manifest in her - her parents obviously had some, but not enough, or else she wouldn't have.

She can have cold resistance as well - though that would mean she wouldn't have resistance to acid or electricity (not that there's anything wrong with the trade off). And as for assassins - there are demons and fiends that are good as assasination, as much as there are demons (like the ooze demons) that are good for nothing but being minions, and all kinds of other demons too.

It doesn't ruin the idea, its just her heiritage is not that specific.
Ikina's attack hit the swordsman in the shoulder, throwing off his swing, denting into his armor, leaving his next swing to absolute miss. Doruk, burned by the swords flames, didn't let up on his attacks - a fair fight was not something he cared about - his experience as an adventurer hadn't rewarded chivalric fighting. He swung his axe into the swordsman and with another cut, he swung again. This time, the swordsman was forced into total defense - the flames kept falling from the sword, onto the floor, onto tables and chairs - a bit of fire even fell onto Ikina, but that little bit of fire did nothing but singe her clothing. The blood of fiends that ran through her veins protected her from such small fire.

Gardad continued his furious slaughter of the slime demons, leaving flecks of acidic demon parts all over the place.

Between the two of them, each striking at their foe, Ikina and Doruk cut the swordsman - and soon enough, he fell to his knees, his injuries getting the better of him. Without giving the man a chance to surrender or recover, Doruk drove his axe into the man's skull, killing him.
Nope, not too short. :)
I'm not upset. I'm a little disappointed, but life happens. Thanks for telling

No worries.
"Alright then." Julian shrugged. "Then we don't have to do that. But that still leaves if there's anything else you intend to get done first. Or," He continued, shrugging. "Shall we set off?" He already had the supplies that he needed for this, but he didn't know if there were any preperations that Felicia wished to make. Julian took a sip of his drink and started back in on his sandwich, which had been largely ignored during their extended conversation.
