Got my wisdom teeth pulled. The worst part is not the pain but the lack thereof. Having numb lips is not fun :(

“The sky doesn’t look particularly happy,” Cinder thought as he saw the clear purple sky with the stars beginning to fade away in preparate of sunrise. As Cinder made his steps, the soft dirt road beneath him faintly crackled and the cold morning air bitted at his face.
Although he would be still in bed right now, Cinder’s mother made him leave early to ensure he wouldn’t be late to school unlike the other countless times. As he continued to walk towards the Ranger School, Cinder began to remember things about his hometown and the adventures and stories his grandfather gave. His mind continued to trail off, eventually reaching his memories on moving into Vientown. As he finished reminiscing about the time his mother accidently dropped the box full of glass plates, he found himself at the closed gates of the Ranger School.
“Hm, why is the school closed right now? I’ll just go back to Mom,” Cinder thought as he turned towards home. However, as he began to take his first step, Cinder paused. The sun began to peek out from the horizon, initiating the sky to change from a dark purple to blue color. All at once, the trickles of light from the sun burst forth, pouring shades of red, orange, and yellow into the sky. As Cinder continued to stand there, the soft warmth of the sun placed its hand onto Cinder’s body, sending a soothing and hopeful aura throughout Cinder’s body. In the far back reaches of his mind, a faint memory, unfamiliar to Cinder, began to emerge. Uplifting, a familiar joy, a man lifting him up to the air. However, as Cinder tried to focus on the face of that man, Cinder suddenly heard the grinding of metal gates behind him, followed by a voice.
“Hey kid,” it piped behind him. “Why are out so early?” Cinder twirled around, finding himself facing a middle-aged man in a suit. The man shaded his eyes from the rising sun to take a clearer look at Cinder. “Ah, you must be a new recruit, but again, why are you out so early? The opening ceremony isn’t until much later.” The joyful memory put a clamp on Cinder’s mouth, forcing him to looked down and blush. “Ah, not a talker, I see. Come on in, it will be a while till the ceremony happens.” Responding to the man’s invitation, Cinder hurried through the gates of the school. For the next few hours, Cinder continued to wander about the campus of the school, trying his best to remember the flashback he just had.
…
As the woman finished her speech, Cinder along with the other students began to walk towards the school. Inside, Cinder attempted to force his way through the crowd to see the board, but couldn’t due to his small size. Eventually, Cinder reached the board and saw which class he was enlisted in. “Classroom A-1…” Cinder pulled away from the crowd and began looking for Classroom A-1 while thinking about the unusual memory.
