Also, do poke the GM about the top 10 contestants, since my poking didn't have much effect. Perhaps if he'd see how many people are interested, he would be more enthusiastic.

On another note, while we're passing time, let's pick combat and "off-time" theme tracks for our characters. I always feel like a couple of tracks (or even a stocked playlist) enhances roleplay and makes you more in-character.

Takumi took notice of her speech patterns, trying to discern her origins.

— Nothing much. Apparently this school now features psychos, as you have seen. And the name's Takumi. — he smiled thinly.
— Why did you try goading those two into fighting? I'm... let's say, interested.

Takumi stands in a relaxed, somewhat self-effacing stance.

Takumi hung around for a bit, but, seeing that the senior would be apparently lambasting the archer maiden for quite some time, he caught his eye, and nodded slightly to the door. Seeing a small nod of dismissal, he left a note with his student ID and name, and quietly walked out.

The students were finally moving at a good speed, their lake breaking apart in rivers and rivulets that went to different buildings and classes.
"I hope that was the most hotheaded of the bunch," — he thought. Then he tried to pick out the grungy pink-violet girl.

Said girl was recovering from a run-in with another student which projected fake sincerity. Takumi couldn't readily pick out his true intentions, so he just let it slide, marking it in his memory for future use that that student is, so far, more untrustworthy than the norm.

"Who's paranoid? I'm paranoid?" — Takumi thought wryly, then dismissed that thought, switching to more useful matters.
His first class was Small Unit Tactics, and he wasn't due there for another twenty or so minutes.

Inquiring where the flintlocks girl has gone, he made a mental note to visit her at the end of the day, and then walked up to the violet girl and her interviewer, waving slightly at the girl.

"Hi."
