In the peaceful town of Slysian , everything is calm and well. Under the rule of the monarchy, the town in looked over by the guardian; Custos. Although this friendly town is quite, that doesn’t exclude it from the country’s affairs. With the hovering threat of the king declaring war with the Sech Empire, things are stressful. The king’s council is demanding to go to war, but the king has a king heart. Even still, the kingdom remains uneasy knowing any order can be given at any time. The threat remains, and the Sech Empire continues to plot against the kingdom.
The guardian Custos, is of five who guard the kingdom, including one guardian who constantly remains at the capitol city. What makes the town of Slysian worth of a guardian is because of it’s rich agriculture and trade. Although it imports and exports plenty, it stays true to it’s locals.
Races:
Earthmates are people with a special connection to the earth. The can be very close with Guardians and the spirits around them.
Humans are what they are, human. But the race is extremely flexible and very common.
Dwarves have a natural talent for forging or more likely that they pass this skill to their children. Dwarves often live in clans and sometimes their clans have specific traits. Some traits dwarves all have in common are: their ears are pointed, though smaller than elves' ears, and they have a special intonation in their speech.
Elves are distinct creatures which they are famous for their beauty and long pointed ears. They also have a Dark Elf race. Most live in the Elven Kingdom and have a special connection with monsters and a respect for nature.
Those who are Half-Monster are able to change into that monster at will. However, they will also change when under a great deal of stress, or if the runes inside their bodies are somehow imbalanced.
Those with Monster Forms, showing a distinction from those who are Half-Monster, are heavily implied to have been human once, but had gone through a change due to supernatural events. Once they change out of their monster forms, they revert back to a human-like state, but still have aspects of their form. Those who have monster forms cannot change back into their monsters.
Univir’s are unique creatures. Their source of magical abilities comes from the horn on their head. Capes are the formal attire of univir and they have ears similar to elves, though it is unknown if the two species are related.
Mermaids transform into their more fishy form when they touch water, including when it is raining or snowing. Even when in mermaid-form due to rain, they are still able to move around the land as if they were normally walking, except their feet change to a tail. However, in their human forms, they can be identified by the fins on their wrists and the sides of their heads.
While being strikingly similar to humans, Witches are those who practice and are versed in the ways of magic. There is destructive magic, healing and medical magic. It is unknown if they are actually a separate race, or if they are simply humans that have a high capacity for magic.

King Nicolli. Though his appearance is sharp, he is a very intelligent king who thinks for the best of his country despite his small experience, being recently forced into his reign.
The Lady has been a close childhood friend to Nicolli, as when sworn into his reign, she became his lady in waiting. ‘Lady of Nicolli’ does not reveal her real name under the king’s wish and protection. She travels sometimes with the King’s Right Hand and serves almost the same purpose.
The Guardian of Slysian, keeper of it’s rich lands and forest. Portals Slysian’s borders, found in the temple where can be sought out for advice. Know for grace, mercy, and foresight.
Sir Vladin, the king’s hand. A member of the royal family (cousin to King Nicolli), he was appointed by the king to be his trusted personal adviser. Member of the king’s council and personal messenger. Also speaks and stands in the king’s presence if he is unavailable.
These characters will appear from time to time and play a role in the story line, but they will not appear for any other reason other for plot purposes.
