Omg lol the Revolution idea is something I've been proposing since near the beginning of my RP journey (along with a time-period plot set in the Middle East which I gave up on) and no one has ever taken up on. So I'd very much be interested in trying this! Originally I was thinking about fictionalizing the Romanov family or doing some spinoff of them to suit the story, but if you have any ideas on how you'd like to play it feel free to throw them my way!

Otherwise I'd equally be up for the enchanted forests idea or mages, because I am a total sucker for magic.

Hi all! I'm looking for a couple of mature writing partners with a decent amount of roleplay experience. I come here purely for a fun way to exercise those writing muscles and be inspired by awesome people, so if you RP for those same reasons there is a good chance we will get along!

I am open to most genres, although I do tend to enjoy writing stories with varying degrees of fantasy, crime, or a sprinkle of sci-fi. At the moment I'm looking for more character-driven stories rather than elaborate plots, it would be super cool if we could loosely set the general direction and jump straight into it! Below are a small selection of budding ideas I think would be cool to play around with (m/, f/, m/f in order of preference but open to all) ;

Fantasy

- 17th century pirates. A pirate captain recruits various talents aboard his/her ship to sail off seeking for treasure, among those - a witch/other magical entity who may or may not have other intentions

- A thief makes a living off stealing valuable enchanted items for rich folks at a price. On one such mission, s/he are in way over their head and unleashes something terrible in the victim's home

- A gypsy group/duo travels across many lands, making a living off performing music, dance, and magic

- Hunters in an enchanted forest

- An old-fashioned wielder of dark magic runs into a fake 'mage' using cheap party tricks to earn a living, decides to teach them a lesson

- Or sorcerer and troublesome apprentice

- Four witch sisters, each ruling their own corner of the world (woods, sea, desert, mountains). Don't have a plot for this yet but it could be a cool idea to explore their different personalities if they had to come together at a time of need

- Assassins. Not an actual plot idea but incorporate this into anything 8D

- Annual battle for the title of the greatest warrior of the kingdoms? Fun and fast paced possibly

Horror

- Ghost circus; a man/woman has memories of seeing a circus when they were a child but has no way to validate that memory. One night s/he witnesses them materialize out of thin air, realizes they are phantoms, gets dragged into their chaotic world

- Human strikes a deal with a demon? Cliche but kind of craving this

- OR how about a demon develops a fascination for a priest/monk? I have a demon character who needs to be dusted off

- An exploration of creepy folklore? For my fellow lovers of all things scary, I'd love to put our own spin on old tales

- Cheesy murder mystery, two detectives being badasses sort of deal, maybe with paranormal/mythical creatures doing the killing?

Sci-fi

- In a world where androids are kept as companions only for the rich, a middle-class robot enthusiast finds one broken down near his house

- Space pirates hijack a cargo/military spaceship

- Earth is under alien invasion, a scientist experiments on a prisoner with the intent of making him/her a supersoldier

- Action packed story, think somewhere between underground fighting rings and robot wars. In a dystopian future, the rich find joy in watching 'modified' humans fight to the death

Historical Fiction

- Right on the brink of the Russian revolution, a general's daughter/son falls in love with a Communist reformer

- Merchants travelling along the silk road, incorporate low-fantasy mythical creatures and desert magic and I am yours forever

Crime

- Drug dealer rolls through small town, reluctantly picks up a partner in crime there (would prefer f/, have an intro for this if anyone's interested)

- Undercover cop/s in a crime ring

- Con artist meets con artist/victim

Among other things! I've tried to keep these themes as open as possible, so if any of them tickles your fancy feel free to throw your thoughts my way! Otherwise, tell me some interesting plots you want to try and I'd be happy to give it a go.

EDIT:contacting without ideas and/or samples will be a major turnoff D8 Not to make life difficult for you lovely people but I only have the capacity for a couple more stories and I want to make sure we're compatible before committing to something. I will happily hash out more ideas for any topic and you can get a basic idea of my writing habits from my post history, off-site samples will be delivered upon request.
