After hearing Haruka's announcements, and as fellow guild members began to exit the room, Claire blended into the flow of people as they made their way outside and in diverging directions to wherever they may need to be. While she should absolutely be training or something similar to it, the whole thing was still bothering he. More than likely, she'd end up snooping around to hear anything worthwhile about what happened today, even outside of the Ebony guildhall, surely someone would know something. But also, it really wasn't her business to go looking into such things, and she had other things to worry about outside of Deep Ground.
Grumble grumble~"Too much to think about, too little time."
Noticing that she had been standing in an empty hallway zoning out, Claire decided to make her way to the double-doors at the end of the hall. In the "socializing" area of sorts at the west of the school, it was outside with a lot of tables and was relatively close to the cafeteria, a place where people took a break from the digital aspects of their life and just talked or relaxed outside. It was an optimal place to make friends, enemies, or gather information. So, Claire made her way to a mostly full bench towards the epicenter of this hub, as casually that she possibly could. Sitting next to a younger looking brown-haired girl who seemed to be keeping to herself.
"Hey you!" Claire said, quickly waving to the girl.
"Hello, do you need something?" The girl asked, the quiet tone hinting her uncomfortable-ness.
"No, but you look like you need some company." Claire responded, rolling her sleeves up and resting her arms on the seat of the bench.
"Oh, thank you. But I prefer to sit alone." The girl responded, avoiding eye contact to further suggest her feelings.
This wasn't getting anywhere, so further measures would need to be taken. Rather than responding to the girl once again, Claire gave her a quick inspection, looking for any on-person items or something else that would hint to her interests. Luckily, she had a White Rabbit keychain which was something a lot of younger females of Ivory Masks wore outside of Deep Ground.
"I like your keychain!" Claire offered, smiling brightly at the girl as she swiped it from her bag and waved it in front of the girl's face.
"Give it back!" The girl plead, eyes visibly beginning to emit some moisture and lips tightening in anger.
"Relax, after all, sharing is important." As Claire said this, she covered her mouth to gesture a mask, squinting her eyes at the girl.
"Oh! I'm sorry, I didn't know." The girl exhaled, still not really comfortable with the whole thing, but accepting that this person meant no harm.
"So what's your name?" Claire asked, offering the keychain back and dipping her head slightly to the left, copper strands falling past her cheeks and eyebrows.
"My name is Laina.. And you?" Laina asked, politely though a bit put off by the sudden asking of her name.
"Me, I'm Claire Valkova. Nice to meet you, Laina. You have a pretty name." Claire continued her barrage of compliments before she went on the offensive.
"Oh! So you're in Ivory right? How'd things go with those dissolutions?"
"Also, did you hear or see anything strange before Deep Ground was shut down?"
"Well, I logged out right after the news about the Black King was relayed by our King.. But I don't think.. Wait, I did hear just recently that some kid had a dog's head in their lunchbox. The poor thing, I doubt it deser-"
"What the! What kind of sicko would do that? Where did you hear this?" The rage ensues.
"In-in the cafeteria." Laina said meekly, more afraid of Claire than anything at this point.
Stomping her way towards the building she had exited before, Claire was very much in a hurry back to her room. Reliving the moments of when she heard the news about the Black King, she sped down the hall and up the stairs, she was already at the door of room when she could hear her little Vucari barking at the door. Sighing in ultimate relief, she unlocked her door and slowly slumped her way in only to drop face first onto her bed. The little Klee Kai jumped shortly after her, balling up in a warm spot by Claire's arm.
"
Nnn wnnn nnnt stnnnd frrr thnns!" Was the sound that emitted as Claire announced into the silken sheets her feelings, about the dog thing, not the Deep Ground stuff, that wasn't her problem remember?
Sitting up quickly, hugging the cream white pillow that she brought along to her lap. Activating her interface and making her way to the public forums, she could see a whole lot of talk about what was going on today, and some other stuff that didn't really seem important at the time being. What was important, however, is the message she planned on relaying to a certain somebody.
"
To the heartless scum whom ended a poor dog's life today. Be afraid!" She posted in the general discussions section, using her own name and all that came with it.
Remembering Haruka's words from earlier, Claire figured while she was here, may as well text her.
"
If you need me for anything let me know, I'm mourning for a stranger's dog's life right now. So I'll be in my room until something comes up. Love ya<3"
