When I say original, I mean the same 'school for super-powers' that you see all the time (or similar). But, no - the best way involves an externally-sourced basis so that all RPs have a common place to draw inspiration from and are more likely to be on the same page!
This is definitely what I would call original!
@Mutank95
Defo LOTR!
And, yes, fantasy does tend to dominate the RP scene....I tend to mostly look for originality mostly in RPs - I love to be surprised!
@The Scotsman

I wish I had a counter argument to that but...http://uncyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Geordies

So...yep - can't really argue.

Highlights include the 'prerequisites' and the 'warrior culture of Geordie males'; "The brick is revered as an elegant and deeply spiritual weapon throughout the world; but no culture is more deeply intertwined with this mysterious artifact than that of the Geordies...."
@Mutank95
Haha! I love anything seeks to push or is beyond the realms of the ordinary! I mean, that's what real life is for! xD
But true...especially the paranormal genre! xD
@The Scotsman
Haha - what's up with Geordie?! There's a great accent - about as easy to understand as Scottish....:P

@Grim327
Yeah...I get that a lot, so I'm used to it! But I am definitely going to get around to it....eventually...
"hey Christy... Call me crazy but... What if the giant creatures we saw... Came from this lab?... Like... What if the people here experimented on animals for some reason?..."

The idea certainly seemed feasible. Genetic modification in typical, known earth species to make something entirely new...like giant mice and rats the size of houses...She shivered as they walked past the various tanks, filled with a sickening, semi-transparent liquid which seemed to be cultivating tiny beings. She reached out to touch the closest glass surface, as if to affirm to herself whether or not it was real. It was cool to touch - and definitely real. She recoiled, shuddering.

As they reached the end of the corridor, encountering a large greenhouse, they stumbled across plants. Large, multi-coloured ones that didn't seemed to identify with any known species (at least that she knew) on their earth. The problem, she supposed, was that it was no longer their earth.

"I studied engineering, pal," she said, slowly, refusing to budge her eyes from the weird and wonderful flora and fauna "About as far from biology as you can get. But as an engineer, I can conclude that these do not look natural. Just look at the symmetry. A typical signature of an engineer and in this case, I think we're dealing with a genetic engineer."
@Mutank95
Yep! Can't beat science! Not that I'm biased or anything.....xD
@WilsonTurner
Love POTC...seen every film....not that I'm a fan or anything ...;D

@Tancuras
Sounds amazing! I mean, I get amazed when I hear the accents of different counties within the UK - so that sounds absolutely awesome!

@ViolentViolet
Haha...believe me, my accent is dull (well, to me anyways...!)
Haha, yh! I'm pretty sure your accent won't be dull to me! xD We'll have to work something out, sometime, that suits both of us in our respective timezones!

@The Scotsman
Haha! Fear not! Just Derbyshire (not really that distinctive, accent-wise...) - so midlands, but more northern when compared to the south!
@Mutank95
Haha - I'm defo a sci-fi fan! I feel it's obligated of anybody studying the sciences (Physics, chemistry)!
But I prefer more superhero genres (i.e. x-men, ironman, Heroes TV show) and space-styled films/books- I've got to admit, I'm not as committed as some but I've got a lengthy to-do list when it comes to films and books!
@The Scotsman
Yep, I feel your pain...once started another RP on another site (one of my first, back in the day!) - which I was pretty damn proud of - but after I'd accepted a load of characters and made the first IC post, I returned to about 3/4 pages of posts! Yep...kinda spiralled out of control...
I much prefer casual. I daren't take the leap to advanced, especially as I can't write too much at the moment because of upcoming exams...I take one look of some of the threads and balk!

@ViolentViolet
The general American/Canadian accent (I know, I know that they're different but I've never heard enough of either!) interests me, in comparison to my boring English one! Especially since my accent's not that posh, as I'm more northern than southern....

@WilsonTurner
Sushi bar?! Next to steakplace?!!
Why didn't you say that before?! Excuse me, while I go book a flight...I'm there. Like, right now. I love steak.

@Grim327
I love hearing about when a lot of detail goes into a username! I'm ashamed that, as a science nerd and aspiring engineer, I've never seen star wars and I plan to correct that over the summer when I have a lot more free time...
And Germany? Awesome - you picked up any of the german language?
