...So I've recently acquired the itch to write again.

Firstly

Things you may want to note...
  • I'm female and generally tend to feel most comfortable playing female characters. I will play minor male characters for the sake of the plot but my main character will always be female. As I result, I would prefer to RP opposite a male character, as it allows for the possibility of romance. Generally, I prefer to play with a single major (female) character and then like to introduce minor characters throughout the plot. This, however, is not fixed and I would be willing to adapt to determined partners who have an idea that interests me.
  • The standard I'm currently looking to maintain is high casual and therefore reasonable spelling/grammar is a must. I am not looking for posts that are pages long, but the more the substantial your posts are, the more material I have to reply to. If you are only looking for a 'free' standard roleplay, you won't find it here.
  • Creativity is another quality I value. I am more than happy to create the settings, etcetera, if that's what you would prefer but I would ideally like to write with someone who is willing to incorporate their own plot twists. I love being surprised - the more inventive, the better!
  • In terms of 'limits', I can confirm that I am 18 years old and accustomed to more mature themes. In the context of the plot, I do not mind violence, swearing or sexual themes but I do not actively encourage the plot to revolve entirely around them. Whilst I feel it does enrich many story lines, personally I feel it is healthier to incorporate this into a wider plot.
  • Time between posts - here is where I'm a little more flexible. I value quality over quantity and therefore, whereas I do aim to post at least once every few days, I feel the standard of the post is much more important.
  • For the fandoms below, I would prefer OCs but this is not ultimately necessary. I am open to any AU concepts and precise knowledge of every aspect of the series is certainly not required. It would help, however, if you had a general idea on the basics of each fandom.
  • I have no preference over threads or PMs.

Christy continued to remain frozen in place, as the men advanced on their position and she tried not to make a sound. She felt a tickling in the back of her throat and felt the icy, creeping sensation of dread itch over her as she realise she needed to sneeze. Her eyes widened as she pressed down further against Jeffrey and held her nose, begging whatever Gods were out there to prevent the inevitable. They answered her prayers; the need to sneeze ebbed until she could release the grip on her face. Relieved, she exhaled silently with a grin.

"I think we should say something," Christy whispered to Jeffrey, "I think we should introduce ourselves. Just keep your gun ready, and hidden out of view, and we'll be fine."

She raised a quizzical eyebrow at him as she searched his expression to see if he approved of her suggestion. She could see of no alternatives - she hardly wanted to be discovered on the strangers' terms. It was better if Christy and Jeffrey could surprise them, rather than the other way around. Besides; they would soon stumble across the fried alligator.

Yh! Sorry - I've a hectic few days but fear no...I shall post as soon as I can
"But I really hope they figure this thing out before Cameron finds out everyone else is eating the food, and not dying."

Ahh, yes well, Val thought, still dazed and amazed that they'd gotten away with it - she hadn't quite thought this far ahead. Her one and only goal had been to eliminate the immediate threat that was 'Cameron', as Cecil referred to him, and now that it had been, she was a little lost. The darkness had grown stifling once again as the glow of several smartphones' had retreated along with the cafeteria gang and hers was now one of the only sources of light, creating a wealth of creepy shadows on the walls and benches. It suddenly seemed painfully feeble and a moment or so later, her worse nightmare manifested as reality.

The 'very low battery' icon flashed up, on the homescreen. She winced audibly as her eyes confirmed that charge was flooding from the device fast and with 10%, it had ten minutes of life, maximum. She dimmed the resolution in a desperate attempt to extend the life of the precious object but she knew it wouldn't be enough.

"Somebody had better fix this mess quick," she muttered in exasperation, "Or ship in a batch of chargers, or something; I'm going to end up going crazy."

She stepped over the litter the group of undesirables had scattered across the cafeteria floor - trying not to dwell too hard on what, exactly, it consisted of - and peeked around the doorway into the main kitchen, which was eerily empty with abandoned cooking utensils strewn across the surface, as if thrown down mid-meal creation. Which she supposed they had been. She couldn't think of a time when she'd seen the area devoid of bad-tempered, hair-netted dinner ladies, who appeared to exist exclusively in this environment. It was a sobering thought. Giving the food stores a quick check, she saw that the group of guys (she'd managed to scare away) had left it untouched. Which was good...for now. As long as they remained away. She hoped they wouldn't catch up with her and Cecil. She was fairly sure she couldn't talk herself out of a round two with them.

Sighing, she returned to main cafeteria room. She threw Cecil a small smile, glancing down at the keys he had retrieved. Focus on the little victories, she reminded herself.

"I guess next stop is the basement," she said, with a quick gesture in the basement's general direction and she headed into the corridor outside, double checking that the gang had evaporated which, thankfully, they had, "Funny - I'm beginning to remember every horror movie I've ever seen, in vivid and excruciating detail. Let's just hope that fiction doesn't merge into real life. Well; I mean, more than it had already."

She shook her head, rubbing her forehead as they walked on.
I'm gonna post soon...life's been a little hectic for me of late, but I'll try and get sommat down
@Mutank95 No its fine! My posts are a little lacking in length as I'm really busy at the moment! Sorry!
"Well...are we ready to meet people of the future, yet?" Christy asked, uncertainly. Her tone was thick with uncertainty and she became very aware of Jeffrey's close proximity. Blushing, she peered forward to see if the footsteps belonged to the three men they had spied on early. They did; all three were striding, heading in their direction. She instantly ducked back down below the boxes.

"They're coming!" she hissed, as loudly as she dared.

"Do you smell something?" she heard one of the men exclaim loudly and there was a pause before another man spoke "Yes...is that burning rubber?"

Christy nearly choked on her nervous breaths and she heard the footsteps stop, as if alerted by the sound. She held her breath, her heart thudding erratically in her chest and she hoped that the sound wasn't as loud as it sounded to her. Frozen in place, she awaited impatiently for the men to do something; to continue, to spot them, to spot anything else amiss.

"You still have the gun?" Christy murmured to Jeffrey in a low voice, urgently, "You know...just in case."
@Tancuras
No problem! I patiently look forward to your reply! xD
Christy had never seen an alligator in real life.

Nor had she ever had the displeasure of knowing what 'burnt alligator' smelt like.

And now, she had experienced both pleasures. She allowed her breathing to stabilise as Jeffrey held her, in a bid to comfort her and she let him. Once the shallow panting errupting from her chest had subsided, she managed a feeble grin at the whole scenario of being chased by a giant reptile - it was an amusing thought, though not one she wished to live through again. Hopefully, these mutant creatures didn't travel in groups. She ran her hands through her hair; her ponytail had come loose and most of her hair now hung in tendrils around her face.

"Do you think those men heard the commotion?" she whispered to Jeffrey, regarding him with a wide-eyed stare.
@Tancuras
Haha....er, sorry! In future, you can always shoot me a message on where you want the plot to go or I can always edit it. I just did what came into my head with scenario I had!
