If you read to the latest timeline, which would be twilight princess, you'll see that information detailed. You were right about the zora feeding hylia thing, but its still not the source. Either way, the post needs to be changed to Death mountain.

My mistake friend. I misread a certain post and got my information mixed up. To be fair though we are both incorrect. The source of both is in fact, Death Mountain.
I read that it was a common misconception that zoras domain was the source of water in hyrule and based my information off of that, but upon further study of the text, it was a different lake entirely and not lake Hylia. http://zelda.wikia.com/wiki/Lake_Hylia

Why not have everyone start out being in the same gang/mob. A bank heist could be planned, goes wrong and two people in the gang (npc's) could get killed. This splits the gang up into two groups. Both sides thinking it was the others fault. It would cause a blood feud etc etc.Or there could be some sort of mob boss who sends out "invitations" to individuals that are talented enough to intrigue him/her. They would have to prove themselves worthy of a position in his family but something goes wrong and two gangs are formed instead and they both decide that they could run the illegal activities in the city better than one crime family could.Just a couple of suggestions.

I love that idea! It would give the rivalry more personality and meaning!

So me and Jade have been discussing a few ideas about the city, and we've both decided on having each gang own businesses within the city, such as the strip clubs you were mentioning earlier, as well as restaurants, bars, garages, maybe even factories and warehouses. If you can think of it, your gang can probably own it. However, we'll be making a map of the city, as well as including in some neutral spots so that members of opposing gangs can interact with each other.

I dont think you're nuts! It's just that The lake supplies the domain which supplies the river. You might remember that the lake flowed into the domain and the river... So the waters source was technically the lake. there were some dialogue mistakes in OOT that stated otherwise, and the mistake was never fixed for oot because that was before you could up and patch a game

Yes... unfortunately the very thing protecting the kokiri was the very thing that doomed it. Without aid from the outside world, the Kokiri fell a long time ago...
As for the fortunes... I'm pretty sure they're personal... or a scam. Probably a scam. I'm not sure I would pursue them too much, especially because we know so little about Burana...
