Rae's face scrunched up slightly as she thoughts 'we're the freaks? take a look in the mirror'
she took a deep breath and put her hands out in front of her as she, for the moment, had a clear line of fire between her and the ratbug.
she tried forcing all the fire out through her hands and 2 (comparatively) impressive strings of fire went from her to the beast. she started to slump immediately but forced her back to stiffen and, as the fire petered out, she dropped her hands and took several deep breaths to attempt to build up the fire again.

Rae took a deep breath as she slid to a stop in the bigger room. she was breathing hard and she had a stitch in her side. but she felt the bundle of fire start to build in her chest again and she shook her arms and shoulders. "leave, all the way out of the village, while you still have the chance, or that burn will be getting bigger" she clasped and un-clasped her hands as she spoke, trying yet again to focus her inner fire into her hands, it was still weak but she fed it as much as she could, and now that she wasn't moving she had more fire to spare.

Rae watched as the other 2 ran out. she took a deep breath, looked at Muse, then shot after them. her breath ragged she lingered a few feet behind the pair but didn't lose sight of them and she slowly gained on them. just trying to build up her inner fire in order to fight off that thing again. she also tried to focus it as she ran, sending it's energy to her legs, which sped her up, even if only a little and she just kept trying to stoke that fire, as she began to hear the noises that she assumed belonged to their assailant and his newest victims.

sorry it took so long to post, i've been really busy.

i'm gonna inform you guys now that Thursday through Saturday i won't have access to a computer at all
and next week from Wednesday on i'll be pretty busy but i'll try my best to post when i can

Rae felt the color drain from her cheeks when Muse said the monster was attacking things and she immediately stood."a, i'm not entirely sure they even realize you have, well had, a penis, they're pretty convinced we're spirits of some kind, and i don't know if their version of spirits are anatomically correct" she managed to find a chuckle in her weary soul "b, you just let it attack people? you didn't help or anything?" she paused for a second "and C, it's not fair you made yourself, you know, bigger then me" she gestured in the general area of Muse's boobs. "now we need to go help those people, as Books said, I'm not sure how much fire i have left but i'm damn well gonna use it"

Rae relaxed and sat back down on the bed with a smile when he said he was Muse. she had to laugh at his question , and especially Books' reaction. "how are you feeling Muse? the chemical or poison or whatever that they hit you with knocked you clean out," she rubbed slightly at her eyes "this is all so weird, where did the monster go?" is it just like out in the squares? has it actually hurt anyone?"
