Ever join a roleplay and then get left in the dust because the GM hasn't put a limit on speedposting or is a speedposter themselves? It really sucks when you invest time into a CS and feel totally excited to wake up the next morning and see that the IC is 3 pages in.
I get that some GM's let speedposters run free because they want to keep up the interest but :(
James is able to obtain the historical memories or sensations of inanimate and animate objects alike by touching them. By touching an object, he gains the knowledge regarding everything about it, from its creation to who has use it and what has been done with it. By touching a living being, he learns of their life history and information they might not even know themselves. However, he merely accesses the 'history' of living beings and isn't able to use the ability to read minds or emotions.
Tracer Techniques: Despite seemingly being a simple superpower, Tracer can be used in a multitude of ways.
Learning - James is able to make full use of the memories he obtains. For example, by simply touching a helicopter, James gains all the technical know-how of how to use it. Likewise with people, he can make use of their memories and mimic their abilities. However, he is only able to replicate what is physically possible for him. This means he won't able to obtain super strength or other abilities simply because he's obtained the memory.
Assessment - James can instantly discern the condition of an object or living being. When touching an object, say a gun, he is able to assess it's physical condition. With living beings, he can the details of their bodies. Even learning their health and identifying hidden illnesses.
Deduction - Tracer can only see the historical memories of an object or a living being. However, James can use such information to deduce the future. For example, he can discern a person's personality by touching them and therefore narrow down their possible actions in a future event.
@SepticGentleman It's a WIP and I have yet to put in his personality and bio. However, I wanted to see what opinions you have on his power. Is it ok? I tried to keep it balanced by having it require physical contact. This means James can't waltz into a battlefield and instantly know the abilities of all his opponents and etc. And though he'll possess the ability to be weapon proficient with anything, he lacks the supernatural edge. For example, an opposing gunsman could have supersight or kinetic acceleration which would make him more deadly than James despite them both using the same weapon.
Still, I think he can potentially be powerful but I don't really have anyone to compare him to since there are no other CS's.
Will you be following the original advances in technology (naruto having a labtop, cars being invented) or retain the original tech level when they were younger?
Well, with those proportions he probably looks like this man here, more or less:
lmfao
as a person who is exactly 190cm, I agree that 48 kg is extremely underweight. If you're going for lean or lanky, somewhere along the lines of 70~75 kg is more like it.
@Progenitus It can't clone Noble Arms or buff it's weapons like yours, but yes it can clone pretty much anything as long there's a functional copy right in front of it.
Man, Magnanimous Unbound Sun and Stairway to Heaven were both REALLY LONG even if they were interesting. For the latter one, you didn't really have to explain certain skills such as Juggernaut-Scouring Stars because you can already infer something like this is possible from the potential of your Noble Arm.
Seems like we've got two cloning Noble Arms so far.
A seemingly indestructible army case. It has no unique traits that would distinguish it from other cases. Though Pandora's Box does not possess the outright destructive power of other high ranked Noble Arms, it's abilities have devastating potential if used correctly.
Noble Arm Abilities: Pandora's Box possess a multitude of abilities that allows it's user to tackle various situations.
Enhanced Durability - Pandora's Box is near impervious to any source of damage and should in the rare instance that damage is taken, it has the ability to regenerate itself. Alastair often uses Pandora's Box as a makeshift shield due to its durability. However, despite it's supposed indestructibility, it is still a physical shield and pales in comparison to other defensive Noble Arms that possess forcefields, shock absorbers and the like.
Mass and Weight Manipulation - Pandora's Box possesses the ability to freely change it's size and weight. Alastair can shrink the Noble Arm down to the size of a pebble for easy transportation or to be as large as a small house. It's weight can also be adjusted up to a 100x degree, allowing Alastair to use it as weapon by rapidly increasing the weight as he attacks.
Pocket Dimension - Within Pandora's Box lies an alternate dimension. Alastair can store both living and non-living objects in this dimension, allowing him to transport whatever essentials or personnel he might require. The dimension itself appears to be the interior of a rather large mansion.
Cloning - Pandora's Box is capable of creating temporary clones of any non-living object. The clones themselves are perfect, meaning cloning a gun will result in a fully functional copy. However, a clone can only last for a maximum of an hour and the more clones there are, the shorter the duration. For example, creating 10 clones of a gun would mean they'd each last for six minutes before vanishing. There is no limit on the amount of clones, meaning Alastair himself has potentially an endless amount of weapons. He simply isn't able to distribute large quantities of them to arm an entire army as the weapons would vanish soon after distributing them.
Personality: Alastair typically has a relaxed and almost bored attitude, he is unlikely to get worked up unless in drastic circumstances and even then, he is fully capable of remaining calm and collected. He has a friendly personality and can crack jokes with others easily. However his nonchalant attitude can often end up angering the more serious students of Trinidad Academy.
Likes: Books, art, music and intelligence.
Dislikes: Idiots, arrogance, ignorance and crowded places.
Fears: Being powerless.
Bio: Alastair is an illegitimate child, the result of the head of the Windsor family fooling around with prostitutes. Being a blemish on the prestigious history of the Windsor nobles, Alastair was treated with much disdain from a young age. Despite that, he was a notable genius, digesting information much faster than his elder siblings could. This only brought up jealousy amongst his siblings. Alastair's childhood was anything but pleasant. However, when his Noble Arm manifested itself, even his uncaring father had to pay attention to him. Alastair being sent to Trinidad to 'develop' his abilities was merely a front for his family to get rid of him out of fear that he would seek revenge against them using his Noble Arm.
