@MissCapnCrunch it's really up to you guys if you want to know each other before or not. maybe there could be a litte deadbeat group of trip junkies that hang out together? depending on how much more interest this garners by the weekend, there might be some people who don't participate in tripping and just want to help out for whatever reason, ergo being unknown.
i was just thinking mental, like strange dreams or hallucinations. since thesr microchips are essentially small computers in your heads (not sure where yet, i'll probably borrow a few ideas from
Feed if anyone has read that), most of the effects will be felt there. the old people don't want to screw up the body or anything. it would ruin the... soldier value of it.
and to answer your last question: i haven't thought about that really that much. body mods are frowned upon in this universe because of the strangeness of it. but groups that beg to be different might have them. like tattoos. except more permanent.
@Bunnitapretty much like the novelty of it. we WILL be posting IC normally to move the story along, i just thought it would be kinda cool to use it to like IC IM or chat in between posts to pass the time or figure out people's characters a little but more. you don't HAVE to join in but i'm thinking it would be cool if everyone did. in
Feed (which i'm loosely basing this on), characters did have a mental chat they could use to communicate with each other. like texting in their heads, thanks to their chip. so i wanted to include that in the story to make it unique.
