that's alright. i figured as much. i don't want to change the character himself, i'm just trying to help you get his backstory straight to fit with the setting and adjust a few issues in order to not confuse the other players. :)

i don't see how that would be possible. biological reproduction is rarely used for breeding purposes.

better, but i still have a weird feeling about the whole 'being adopted' thing. there are no adoption services period. parents go through an extensive application process for a child. it's funny because in this future babies are created, not born, so parents can design their own child. for a couple to not want their child isn't an option.

he could've been kicked out when he was 18. although since generally family units stay together until the child turns 25, his parents would be frowned upon.

well, it's difficult to say really. people are too jaded to do anything like that in this future. if you must insist on having something tragic in his backstory, then probably a white collar crime would be more suitable.

so i like the feel of your character, more specifically the whole alias thing. what does he do, exactly? does he work in the government? and remember, he has a computer implant.

your character has the potential to be really cool. however, there are no violent gangs in this city. nobody would have attacked anyone. bluelight is under heavy police control, so gangs and gang violence would be like... non-existant.
