“No. We are fine. Are you?” Came the reply from the First Lieutenant.

"No, sir."

Dustin tightened the grip around his M16A4 and followed him and the Gunnery Sergeant inside. As Dustin stepped through the door's threshold, the three men heard a loud, thumping sound coming from upstairs. Dustin quietly shut the front door so to not attract any more walkers and stalked up the steps behind the other two. When they reached the top, a fourth soldier was sat against one of the doors, seemingly trying to keep something from escaping. The fourth man told of how there were two other Marines, one of which turned and ate the other, were now banging on the door and trying to get out. The First Lieutenant grabbed his assault rifle and took aim at the door.

Then the Captain, who Dustin didn't even realise was there, pushed past the Corporal, the Gunnery Sergeant and the First Lieutenant into the room. He watched as the Captain took out his blade and finished off the final walker before turning around, saying something about a child and walking straight back out the front door. Dustin looked into the room as the man left. It was a scene of complete carnage. Bullet holes, blood and three corpses of the former Marines.

"Jesus Christ, man. What the fuck happened?"

Plot:
The year is 1911, and something has gone horribly wrong. The world has been hit by a plague of apocalyptic proportions. The dead have risen and wander the land in search of human flesh. Frequent storms batter the Earth and all plant life has seemingly died off. Cattle meat became rotten and those who dared to eat it joined the undead ranks. Initial survivors told stories of mythical creatures who stalk the wilderness, but not many had the courage to go and verify the tales. Those who did never returned. Small pockets of civilization sprung up all over the land after the major towns were decimated by the ravenous zombies, but they don't have nearly enough supplies to cope with the massive amounts of people begging for help.

Rules:
1. If you don't post for a week, your character will be killed off. This can be avoided if you have a valid reason.
2. Keep all the OOC to this thread.
3. At least two paragraphs per post. Each paragraph must have a minimum of four sentences.
4. Please respect each other. Settle disputes over PM.
5. Two post minimum per week.
6. You can not kill another person's character without permission from myself or the character's owner.

Simon Becker

Name: Simon Becker
Age: 32

Weight: 175lbs
Appearance: Simon is a scruffy looking individual after spending multiple years sleeping in a tent off the beaten track. There is a noticeable scar on his left cheek that he acquired in a bar fight many years ago. He has lightly tanned skin because he spends most, if not all, of his time out in the sun. He has a short, rough beard that he'd been growing for about two weeks. Simon has short brown hair that he covers up most of the time with a cowboy hat. He wears a long, brown coat with a black pair of trousers and black riding boots.
Equipment: Cattleman Revolver and a hunting knife.
Horse: American Standardbred.
Bio: Simon Becker was born in Thieves' Landing to a drunkard father and a prostitute mother. His father was off before he was born, leaving him with an extremely poor mother. He didn't attend school and spent most of his time just stealing commodities such as money and food. At age eight, Simon's mother became very ill and died soon later. He ran away from his foster home and and spent the next few years of his homeless and begging from others. When he became twelve, Simon fell in with a gang of outlaws and assisted them with caravan robberies. Simon committed his first murder at fifteen, when a man they were robbing ran at him, forcing him to pull the trigger. After that, killing became second nature to Simon. At age eighteen, Simon became the leader of his gang after the former boss was arrested and executed by US Marshals. Simon led the crew on multiple raids against trade caravans and other wandering travellers. During the beginning of the apocalypse, Simon's gang was devoured by the undead and Simon himself went on the run, hiding somewhere, alone.

Buck Stapleton

Bio: Buck grew up on a ranch. He was raised as a normal kid and taught
everything you need to know to run a ranch: Breaking horses, building fences,
how to shoot a gun, etc. When he was 18 an unfortunate brush fire
destroyed the ranch and his family. Not knowing where to go he became a
bounty hunter just to have a means to make money. Buck ended up being one
of the best bounty hunters in the state. Now that zombies pose a bigger threat
than outlaws, Buck focuses on staying alive.

Bio: Jimmy Ortega was born from a mexican father and an american mother. His father was a bandit and he died shortly after the child was concieved. He was shot down by a bounty hunter who wanted the reward placed on his head. His mother was a prostitute and she didn't care about him much. She thought he will only stand in her way so she abandoned him somewhere in the middle of nowhere. He was found by some native-americans who heard the cries of a baby while they where hunting. The natives took good care of Jimmy who left them after he grew up. However he didn't leave before thanking them for everything they have done for him. In turn the natives gave Jimmy a tomahawk axe. Using information he had from the natives, together with some investigating he did on his own, Jimmy found the exact location of his mother. After paying her a visit and confronting her for abandoning him, Jimmy shot her and left like nothing happened. Shortly afterwards he joined a band of outlaws who were impressed by his skills and his bad boy attitude. Jimmy found himself alone after zombies decimated the group of outlaws he was part of. Now his only objective is survival.

Joseph Reed

Appearance: average build with broad shoulders. Dark brown hair cut and maintained:think Professor Macdougal only a bit longer. Heart shaped face with light beard, brown eyes, slightly noticeable scar under his right eye. Wears typical rancher clothing.

Bio: Joseph grew up in Blackwater as the only son of an English professor from the north. He was in the process of school, to follow in the steps of his father, when he met a rancher woman named Margaret. He left his schooling to marry her and own a ranch with her. They had one son named Tom. One day, Joseph finds Margaret and Tom as undeads in the barn. He has no choice but to lay them to rest. He is forced to leave his ranch in search of help.

Bio: Born in Shanghi and moved to America in his early twenties, in search of a better life. He was hassled around alot,having to do undesirable jobs for very little pay. Finally he got a job in Blackwater, working for Sam Wah's business. He was finally living the "American dream" when the plague of the undead began. After nearly being eaten by an undead, one day during work, he is now on a rooftop in Blackwater, unsure where to go or what to do next.

Either set in the normal universe or the Undead Nightmare universe is what I'm torn between so I thought I'd post here and see if anyone would be interested in either one.
