Alexis arrived a few days prior to the meeting time just to be sure that no one laid an ambush for her. In her long life she learned two things. One, always arrive early to a possible ambush and two, never sleep on the ground.
She met several locals and asked as much as she could without revealing nothing about her, regarding her mysterious employee. 'Alas, no one knew anything about him. So, she resigned herself to toying with her cybernetic arm somewhere hidden.
Slowly the others came, first a female then a man and then a ghoul she ignored and then two BoS soldiers one of whom she heard about. Swordwind. She rose up from the place she called camp and went towards them. Somewhere in the middle of the process, the radio started signing a different song and with a higher volume than before.
With her cybernetic hand, she gripped her pistol in case things went south and asked the one known as Swordwind :
" Hi. What is the mighty Stormwind doing between us, lesser people. ? " Her tone was not of malice or sarcasm but of genuine curiosity. The voice that came out of the mask was metallic in nature and most would find it strange. If Stormwind was here, that meant their employee was more resourceful than it appeared at a glance.
Also, would it be possible to add something to my character? A skill. It's something I didn't consider.
She was born in a family of researchers that based their research on bio-synths / synths. Shouldn't she be an expert or at least near one in terms of synths and cybernetics ?

By no means a synth as she was born human but with some enhancements that are meant to prolong her life. Her body is athletic in nature with all muscles that can be seen if one would take time to analyze her. Alexis voice is suave but with a glint of sadness that can be traced on every word she speaks, her eyes are no different.
- Psychological Profile -
{Personality}
Alexis can be called a ruthless visionary. She would do anything in her power to survive and fulfil her vision of the future. She is cautious and doesn't take unnecessary risks. Another thing that can be seen in Alexis is her depression. She once believed that everyone was good and they became bad as time passed but she is currently rethinking the whole thing.
She can also be named loyal to those that she befriends but those encounters are rare and usually end bad for the other person.
{Fears/Limitations}
Alexis is afraid of death as she has seen too much of it in her teen years but her true fear is that the world is beyond saving. She's trying to save whomever she meets from their ultimate demise at the hypothetical hands of the wasteland and it's residents.
{Place of Origin}
Alexis was born inside the Institute and lived there until the age of 20 when she ran away to see the wasteland.
{Background}
Alexis was born 68 years ago in the Institute in a family of researchers that were responsible of a now no longer used part of the Synch program. A side project that was meant to combine human and synth components to extend human life. It was deemed too dangerous eventually as most of the subjects gathered from the Wasteland didn't survive the surgical procedures that were needed and those that did, went mad in a matter of days.
Alexis was schooled by what were probably the brightest minds of the Commonwealth and was supposed to join her parents in research when she was of the necessary age. All those ideas soon ended as she stole a relay from one of the synths and ran away into the Wasteland to see if it as bad as everyone in the Institute believed.
She took whatever food, weapons and armor she could find and ran away as north as possible from the Commonwealth. The radiation was harsh at first but as with all Institute personnel she was made so that her body could handle the Post-nuclear radiation as long as she avoided the stronger pockets of it.
Of course, as with all acts of teen rebellion, it ended badly. She was captured by raiders after 3 days of her escape. She was tortured and used for about a year. That was when "luck" smiled on her, the raiders got ambushed by a pack of feral ghouls. She used the opportunity to escape. Injured as she was she didn't get far but it was enough. A family that was apart of a settlement found her and took her in. Alexis was 20 at that time.
After a few months, she was well received by the settlers but her string of bad luck didn't stop. The settlement was under attack by a neighboring settlement. Alexis's vision of a bright future started then. Her scope was to unite both settlement and the wandering raider tribe that occasionally troubled both settlementents.
Even those ideas became obsolete in a way. The other settlement found what seemed like a truck full of radioactive materials and rammed in through the gates of Alexis's settlement, exploading on contact. Many were killed and Alexis herself was caught in the blast. Half of her face was torn off, her left arm was also removed and she would join the dead/ghouls to be if not for her parents. They were able to track her down and teleported her with a group of synths back to the Institute.
She was near death when The Father (of that time) decided to allow her parents to save Alexis using the technology they created. After a long string of bad luck, karma smiled on her and her life was saved by becoming half-synth. Her face couldn't be saved, not all of it. Most of her face was destroyed and had to be replaced. A mask covered it and she was received with open arms by the Institute after that. Her arm was the only silver lining. It was replaced with a synth arm with all the benefits that come with a cybernetic arm of high quality. A rift soon formed as she was the only one there that saw the Wasteland for what it was so, she was trained and eventually became an agent of the Institute. She was not the only one, there was someone else that received the same upgrades she did but they never met.
Alexis was sent to gather information about the Wasteland, to plan for the Institutes revival. Armed to the teeth and trained to kill. That was years ago, long after her parents died. Eventually she ran away again from the Institute after she learned about their latest plan.
She took odd jobs to whoever paid the most, she needed caps to fulfil the dream she had when she was still a child. A mission from a person called The Patriarch intrigued her the most, a visit in a not yet touched by humans area. Luck found her in the area and she accepted without blinking twice.

{Non-Combat Skills}
A computer? Meh. = Alexis was raised in the Institute and most of the time she had to deal with computers. Used to not being allowed to access most information stored on said computers, she developed a reputation of a hacker. If I can see it, you should too. = Alexis learned to spot threats before they see her. A sharp eye is what saved her life more than once. A lock? What's that? = Alexis learned to open most locks with no problems. Only the most advanced locks are beyond her skill.
Synths, Robots and Cybernetics = Alexis was born in a family that were specialised in Cybernetics and Synths, 'thus she lived between them a big part of her life. In addition to this, her own cybernetic implants made her even more curious about the tech, so much that she studied them to a degree that could be called almost perfect (at least in comparison to the average wastelander)

Ignorable. = Alexis learned to ignore most injuries she might receive since she used to be a raider's plaything. Markswoman = Alexis can easily shoot targets that move or are otherwise in motion. She honed this skill everyday to something close to perfection.

@Seltak East was more welcoming true. West was fanatical in its way (personal opinion).
There are ways for your character to be a medic without being a BoS member. He could've learned from a settlement's doctor or by trial and error on raiders that he caught.
