Mine'll be up tomorrow evening. Life has been very, very rude lately.
@Everyone: I will be updating the Character List tomorrow evening. Please, if you haven't already, get those Narrative ICs done or progressing. I'll see who all's left after I update it tomorrow and PM you to see if anything's holding you back. Once we get our solid, long-time members settled, we may open up to new blood. Delicious.

@FireCracker: I didn't PM u cuz I dun like krakrz.

@Prom: Thanks for the heads up. I'm sorry you aren't returning :/.

@Zombie: So... there you go. I know this may throw off your plans for the time being, but I'll bet you anything the plan will return in some form after the intro IC. Trust me :).

That works. Though, FreeFall, that means likely Cass and Sentinels won't encountered the...batty situation we had planned originally since I'm not introing them yet but I think with the GMs' permission, we might be able to make that happen later on. This time hauling the rest of them with us into hell, what do you think FF? :P Something that I thought might be interesting to mention is that in a RP I'm in, a Star gate one called Tempest, the GM allows Players to create and lead what he calls Episodes (he's still involved with all the planning and detailing, working with the PC over it, but in essence they do most the work of planning the events and basic idea) which might be an interesting thing to do. While we all might not star in an Episode, for example a plotline Episode that might center around certain character's core stories, it doesn't mean it won't be fun to join in on the fun and play a small part. I can see the problems and what not that can imply with this so I understand if something like that won't work in this rp but figured it was work mentioning at least.

Oh don't worry, you're talking to people who definitely believe in user-created content. I have some branching ideas that would be well suited to reaching into anything y'all might come up with. In other words, we will undoubtedly accept ideas for any personal plots you all have in mind (perhaps share the details privately, premises free to share). Initially though, this introductory plot will give us all something to ride the current of creatively. Returning players may bring plots they'd planned out before, but let's be clear, all old ideas (including my slave arc) are apt to change and should fit the new context. We will have new blood, a few new events, and a system designed to add serious risk. Our old ideas will surely meld well to the new aspects, but just wanted to put that out there. After the intro plot we'll have a solid plan for dealing with subplots and how divergent stories might exist.
We've updated the OOC OPs now. More style will be added as the coding becomes more elegant. I'll sharpen up my post tomorrow evening. Important note! The Character Sheet is narrative and what we expect is described by The Author at the end of OP Post #2.

I think I only went about 20 words over that... mainly due to Abigail flavor, as for Kurtis, Remmy, Jose, and Cash I think it might be best to sort of just delete them for now. I've told Aweena and think I mentioned it on the OOC that I don't plan on bring the Sentinels around this time, at least not for a while. It's easier to keep focus on 2 PCs, which I plan on bring Racheli in on this, a character fave of mine, but there's one problem. Since it's written by her, I can't see her detailing her past-even when forced-due to the fact I know her personality rather well since I've played her several times before. It never feels right or makes sense for her to unless someone pries in then its only as little as possible. (There's a reason for this!) I also thought it might be slightly more fun to reveal her history IC throughout the rp to the PCs that get to know her when I do intro her into Apoc. Currently I've got her history written up both post and after the infection which I aim on sending to both you and Aweena incase anything about it clashes with things in this new set up. Though while I can still do a narrative write up, I don't want to be penalized for her not wanting to go into her past, mainly early years before everything as she would put it 'went to shit'. (It's a touchy subject for her for many reasons.) Would it be alright to do this?

I wouldn't throw them away. Perhaps give them very succinct, short bios noting who they are affiliated with (Playable Characters or Organizations, I mean). If you want to hold off until you see an example of this feel free. I'll be doing it for a few of my people. By doing this you can expand later if you end up switching around (people could die) or otherwise just keep options open. How does this sound?

We do plan on separating NPCs and Secondaries a bit. We're currently talking about what the narratives for Secondaries would be like, but it seems pretty solid that NPCs would be very brief snippets as/if relevant.
@Feed: Making every drug available legal would be detrimental if we sold them exactly as they were today, absolutely. Cut and sold with other things added, with no regulation, and with only the desperate need to make a profit driving the business -- no doubt allowing that business would have negative repercussions. That said, in what America do you live in that this is how such a hypothetical could exist? We live in a country where a bill arguing for mandatory Kindergarten was and is still controversial in many states. If something like this ever became a reality it'd be riddled with stipulations and ultimately changed into an entirely new, regulated business. Your experience and points are absolutely valid, I don't mean to suggest you don't know what you're talking about as you clearly do and I respect that, but what we're talking about wouldn't likely act or be treated in the same way as what you're expecting.

I believe our evaluation of drugs is extremely outdated. Our expectations of how people act and the result of usage is based on an unregulated system where those in poverty are exposed to suspiciously created/obtained drugs and sold them by people who absolutely need them to become addicted. Drugs are cut with other more addictive materials and manipulated in such ways to ensure profit and not customer health. If we legalized drugs I'd expect it'd likely be a blend of how Colorado treats marijuana and how the pharmaceutical companies sell medications. Each drug would have a dosage, higher dosages of stronger substances may still be limited. The drugs are not necessarily deadly, quality and strength are very important. In America many of our veterans were given amphetamines throughout their services over the last several decades. While how they did this was deplorable, in my eyes, it is an example that we once believed drugs can be used positively and negatively. As a result we have medications that are comparable to street drugs today that we sell for medicinal usage (and many still use, legally obtained, for the occasional recreational trip). So is it that drugs are deadly and 'bad' or is that our casting them out completely has left only the worst that they may be?

I'll throw this out there. My room-mate spends 8 hours a day after a full day's work in front of his massive television gaming. He has more than $2000 of equipment purchased solely for this purpose and continues to do such before other basic necessities. When he stops, he becomes a bit off, very agitated. The guy clearly gets a rush and a happiness from this habit that I imagine is akin to the dopamine rush experienced by anyone when they find something enjoy. He likes it very much and despite it breaking many relationships, he feels it more important and inescapable. Why is this form of addiction less deplorable that of hard drugs? His health has taken a serious toll due to this constant habit (this coming from a guy who enjoys a game now and then too) and its absolutely life-consuming.

The fact is drugs, gaming, alcohol, these are all too often vehicles for escapism. We should focus our attention to improving lives and finding ways to use these escapist paths in order to enrich life rather than replace it.

Hey, I think I'll jump in on this if you've room.Simply seeing SHon here (an awesome GM from back in the day as I recall) and Zombies together...well, that's all I really needed to hear.

Welcomed with open arms! Check out our Long-Term Google Doc for the Character Sheet, or simply wait a day for the OOC to be officially posted up.

@Everyone: We've been working hard creating a journal-like feel built up of character explanations of beasts, groups, and havens. The character sheet too will be narrative, unlike those we've had in the past. Basically, give us one more day to get up what we have (a few havens may still be WIP, but that's fine). We have an introductory plot idea that you're sure to love, very free for choice of course, so we should be rolling very, very soon. I'll say then, check out the Long-Term Google Doc and start working on those Character Sheets. I'll be posting it officially tomorrow with the rest of the OOC. I'll note that they are Narrative-Based (check out our examples in the Doc) and we're looking for ~1000 words -- loose maximum, you can go over a bit, but too long and you may lose readership, shorter is totally fine.
Edward's Mind said As Edward began drifting off he found his thoughts returning to that Godswife, Celine he believed she was called. Now that he had more time to consider, it shamed him that he had been so off put by her beauty... how could he justify his attraction to her in good conscience? ... only upset him more as he tried to force her from his mind. Finally, however, he managed to forget about the day's unexpected turn and sleep came to him, along with the dreams...

It might just be the scotch and wine talking, but sir, is this a subtle suggestion that Edward's about to have a wet dream? Now I think I should throw away the painting I did of him and start one of Edward lying in the hay peacefully sleeping . I understand why he wanted his own room though, ;P.

Well me and my very brunt libertarian no non sense if your offended by it then don't read it attitude (objectivism FTW) say that really there shouldn't we a required time to fade to black. you know if you want to write bout that stuff go ahead and anyone who doesn't like it or is offended (I am looking at you liberals) then why the hell did they search it up in the first place like really I personally perfer not to see sexual macabre on my forums ands that's why I pronto looking for it and if I see something that might British don't look at it and if I do well shame on me for being a retarded and looking. Same thing goes for any sort of niche thing ranging from brony cupcakes to hyper realistic blood.

Return the OP. Going ahead and writing these situations can, like before, cut off our funding -- so no RPG. All politics aside, we all use this service and no one individual has a right to ruin it for everyone. That's the whole point. How we moderate that is important too and while I think the Report button should be emphasized, I do think discussion is really good for coming up with other solutions. Suggesting people should commit the behaviour is literally the problem... I appreciate your point broadly speaking, but right here in RPG we should consider how to maintain this community we are lucky to be given a place to nurture.
First, though I'm subscribed, I never saw that anyone posted. Thought this was sinking, so you can imagine how freaking happy I am to see this sort of activity.

@Everyone: Aweena and I are aiming for a narrative-like Character Sheet style for Act 2. Think like you're writing the CS first-person after the fact (never know who may die, so, maybe avoid suggestions it's super-far into the future. This basically means CSs can be pretty loose, even conversational, or diary-like. The same basic info will be included, but it'll give your character more flesh as you write in their mind and not as if separated. We do not require first-person posting IC. This is just to flow with the journal-style of the OOC we're creating.

@Alarie & Peik: Make sure you're ready to commit. We're not this heavy RP that posts three times a day, but we do expect dedication. In the past we've generally had posts pop up 1-2 times a week. When people are separated into sub-groups they can move at a nice, comfortable pace -- everyone's pretty understanding. That said, we've had a lot of people I'd dub "assholes" who sign up and disappear spontaneously. I implore you, please join us if you're down to help build this wonderful world of potential. Creative freedom is yours, we restrict you little and wish only to build off your genius. Don't make us all waste our time investing in someone who won't be here in a week. I trust you both will do beautifully with us, so please, join up! We'll have a CS structure built soon, but go-ahead and piece together the basics in the meantime.

@FF & Zombie: Damn right! Excited to have you both back :3. We're expecting Prom as well. Should Fallen return, we'll have a significant original character base.

@Fallen: I hope you return. That whole RPG issue really opened some potential for where we were going. I think we could do something pretty boss from here and you've proven an enjoyable RP partner thus far.
