So we going to get this show on the road?
In this restart all characters are starting without any links to magic perhaps one branch. Then they are trained in the basics and what have you. At least that is what I thought was going on. Although I didn't change my characters magic list, perhaps I should.
Spells may change **Death** Ectoplasmic Shaping: The mage can alter the form of an ectoplasmic manifestation, shaping it with his will into whatever form he desires. He must contend with the will of the mage who conjured the ectoplasm or the ghost who manifests through it. Ectoplasm is the medium through which ghosts manifest. Forensic Gaze: This spell enables a mage to discern at a glance exactly how a creature died and how long ago. Thus, the mage might be able to realize that a cause of death obvious to all modern forensic evidence is in fact a ruse designed to distract from the subject’s true cause of death. Because of the limitations of the Death Arcanum, Forensic Gaze reveals only cause of death and not mitigating circumstances. Can be used no matter the state of the body (mutilated, skeleton, burned, turned to ash.) Grim Sight: The mage gains the Mage Sight, perceiving the supernatural through the lens of Death. He sees the weight of death around a person or place — not his likelihood of death (unless the subject has a terminal illness), but how often he has rubbed shoulders (knowingly or not) with the dead or dying. Using this spell, a mage can perceive another’s grief through a recent loss, and use this knowledge to manipulate that person’s emotional vulnerability. It can be used to identify murderers who have otherwise concealed their crimes from all knowledge (although this rote reveals no details about the murder, only that the target has blood on his hands). **Fate** Interconnections: Allows the mage to examine anyone in sensory range to determine the interconnections they might have with each other (or even with things and institutions, such as corporate brands or fashions) Each success yields some information, with more successes yielding more powerful or secret connections. The mage cannot tell exactly what the connections mean, just their intensity. Note: Successes depend on power and concentration used and the GM will decide the amount of information you get. Quantum Flux: This spell allows a mage to influence negative effects that might make any of their actions fail. At any time within the spell’s Duration, the mage can spend time “aiming” any action, reducing penalties that influence him in the scene. A maximum of three penalties can be removed. This effect can negate only penalties, however, and may not result in any kind of bonus to dice pools. The penalty or negative effect doesn’t disappear, but its influence is lessened or negated. Penalties mean negative influences, for example if one tries to hit a remote target and has wind in their face, they can lesser it’s influence (without changing the wind itself) and take aim like there they weren’t hindered. Reading the Outermost Eddies: The caster knows the outcome of some small random (or mostly random) action in her immediately vicinity. The spell cannot bring about a life-altering change. Nor can it be used to change the probability of an event already set in motion. (A mage couldn’t use the spell on a scratch-ticket she’d already bought, but must use it before buying one ticket out of many.) Nor may the spell create any chance that an impossibility will come to pass. A simple success results in small turns of immediate or nearly immediate good fortune pertinent to the willworker’s current circumstances (such as which vending machine will drop that dangling candy bar the last guy paid for and gave up on after it got stuck on the rotating coil). An exceptional success yields the high end of small good fortune. (Say, turning down the left-hand alley rather than the right one and finding the runaway cat for which the owner has posted fliers advertising a $100 reward). Successive attempts to use this spell for the same goal are considered vulgar and will bring ill fortune to the user. **Forces** Influence Heat: The mage can guide the direction and/or flow of existing heat. He could, for example, keep warm in cold weather by pulling the ambient warmth shed by other human bodies to himself, or make sure that the dim heat from a radiator on the other side of a bathroom reached the shower stall. He could not increase the temperature of the heat at this level, nor create heat where there is none. Influence Light: The mage can guide the direction and/or flow of existing light. He could, for example, cause a wide-angle lantern beam to focus more tightly, like a flashlight beam, or split visible white light into its full spectrum of colors, like a prism. He could not (at this level) cause a weak light to become brighter or cause light to appear where it did not already exist. Influence Sound: The mage can guide the direction and/or flow of existing sound. He could, for example, focus sound waves from across a vast chamber so he can listen in on a whispered conversation, or ensure that the sound of his own voice does not carry beyond the person to whom he is speaking. He could not amplify the volume, however, or create a noise from thin air. **Life** Analyze Life: The mage discerns the species, age and sex of a nearby living plant or animal, including humans. Cleanse the Body: The mage can cleanse herself of drugs, toxins or poisons. Healer's Trance: The mage can discern the state of health of a living being and detect and identify any illnesses. **Matter** Alter Conductivity: The mage alters the conductivity of a simple object. An electrical cord can be rendered completely non-conductive, while concrete can be made to conduct electricity like copper. Craftsman's Eye: The mage can discover the proper function of an object with moving parts. Dark Matter: The mage gains the Mage Sight. This spell is especially good for reading resonance that is ponderous (“thick”, “sluggish” or “dense” as some have called it). **Mind** Aura Perception: The mage can discern the mental and emotional states of a thinking being by reading his aura. Some mages perceive auras as a series of colors, while others describe them in terms of musical notes, odors, tastes or other purely non-physical senses. One Mind, Two Thoughts: This spell enables the mage to hold two individual and wholly distinct trains of thought at once, provided neither is intensely physically demanding. Sense Consciousness: The mage can detect the presence of minds in the material world or mental projections in the state of Twilight. He knows how to detect the presence of psychic activity, from the basest (that possessed by the simplest of animal life) to the most complex and elevated (powerful lords among spirits, the most enlightened of willworkers and the like). This sense allows the mage to know when other thinking creatures are present, and roughly what sorts of minds are present. (Experience may not teach a mage the distinction between a cockroach’s mind and a dung beetle’s, but it does tell her the difference between an insect and reptile mind.) The mage detects the general type of mind she senses (a host, disembodied consciousness or spirit, for example) and this sense is useful for helping the mage to know when she is spied upon or just watched by a being currently lurking in refined dimensions. **Prime** Analyze Enchanted Item: The mage can scrutinize an enchanted item —an Artifact, enhanced item or imbued item — to discern its powers. Discern Phantasm: The mage can see through Primebased illusions (those created with manifested Mana, knowing them for what they are. Having substance, however, they do not vanish from her sight. Dispel Magic: Mages can dismantle or dispel existing spells, a process also known as “unweaving.” **Space** Correspondence: The mage can analyze the connections between things, people and places, determining their degree of sympathetic connection. This spell provides useful information to the caster who intends to affect a subject through someone or something to whom or to which the target is emotionally bound. It might be a very dear friend, a treasured childhood possession, or that nook beneath the old oak where the subject fell in love for the first time. Finder: The mage can flawlessly track an item in his immediate surroundings. Omnivision: The mage can perceive 360 degrees around himself. He essentially has “eyes” on the back and sides of his head. **Spirit** Coaxing the Spirits: The mage can whisper to a spirit sleeping within a material object and ask for its aid, making it easier to use the object. Exorcists' Eye: This spell enables a mage to detect the presence of a possessing entity within a terrestrial being, often to the end of expelling that spirit by means of the “Exorcism”. Those who are knowledgeable in the ways of the spirit realm may be able to identify what sort of spirit inhabits a given individual, but such information is not necessarily conveyed by this spell. Second Sight: The mage gains the Mage Sight. He can also determine the Strength of the local Gauntlet. **Time** Momentary Flux: This is the power to discern the “Butterfly Effect.” The mage can judge a currently ongoing event, one about to take place (within the next five turns) or one that has just taken place (again, within five turns) and discover whether it will be beneficial or adverse for her. For example, she could check to see if letting a sketchy-looking valet take her car keys turned out to have been a bad decision (and maybe stop him before he drives off). Or she could, when being chased by police, learn whether or not it’s a good idea to turn down the alley ahead. This sense does not say what will happen, only whether it will be a boon or a hindrance to the mage. If all possible choices are equally beneficial or adverse, this sense will tell the mage as much. If all options are based entirely on the results of random chance, rather than any actor’s intention, then the mage gains a rough idea of the odds — that the guy in the black jacket has the edge in the fight that’s about to break out (because his Strength + Brawl dots are higher than his opponents’ — not enough to ensure victory, but enough to make him the oddson favorite). Perfect Timing: Know the perfect time to throw a punch to inflict maximum damage, as well as the perfect time to speak. Temporal Eddies: The mage gains the Mage Sight (see “Mage Sight,” p. 110). He perceives resonance through the way in which it “snags” things, people and events moving through the timestream, by the magnitude of its presence (in much the same way as scientists determine the presence of a black hole by witnessing the phenomena around it). He can also tell perfect time, anywhere, discerning the passage of instants with such clarity that his sense is more precise than even those most carefully maintained clock.
I changed my character >.> See now was that so hard? I hope my edit will be liked. :P

His father was a special person and would get angry very easily. Upon looking back at his son he had used his power of telekinesis to send him flying through the air. The initial impact snapped Jonathan’s poor neck as he was sent flying about forty feet into the air, upon landing unluckily on a fence. Where they lived this specific fencing was strong and looked like spears. His mother screamed and ran to his limp body, using her power to move him through the fence. His mother was also a unique individual and immune to his father’s power. She thinking her son dead knew of her husband’s powers and doused herself in oils from the lantern and ran into the area his father was working, setting it ablaze, and killing them both. John had awakened to see the entire thing happen but couldn’t speak due to his neck still being out of place. He wandered for a while, finding work repairing whatever he could. Then a man came to him and asked him if he wished to learn all he knew, for the man was old and didn’t want to be forgotten. Taking Jonathan to his mansion he told him all of his stories and even taught him to read and write. Jonathan Caught on quickly and never forgot anything he was told. His parents had sheltered him from the outside world and never allowed him to learn much of anything. Save daily chores and on a farm that was many things. Upon his deathbed this old man left Jonathan Alexander his fortune and name. He was unable to have children and found a son in Jonathan. Thus he gained the last name of Vanderswift. With his adopted father dead and gone Jonathan was shattered. Tears formed in his eyes over the loss of this his friend and one of the only people to actually love him. His parents seemed more of a cold blooded lot and never praised him, only toughened him up for his life to come, as a “special thing”. Never did he feel at home until he met Lord Cain Vanderswift. With all of Cain’s knowledge in his head, his adopted father’s life stored away; Jonathan wrote a novel containing his father’s life within. It was a five part book novel that contained every little thing in Cain’s life. Afterward he wrote about his parents, creating a story all his own of how they met and filled in their lives. Never really knowing about his parent’s pasts, he himself, filled in what he could and in the end of the book killed himself. This was a seven book series, and people loved the “Witchcraft” as they called it then. But never would say it because it was blasphemous but people gobbled it up like candy. Soon he had made seven times the amount of money that Cain had. By now Jonathan was turning Thirty years old. Had no friends and didn’t look at all aged passed his twenty first birthday. He had wished he could have done something for his adopted father; Knowing that his actual parents were burnt to nothing in the fire. He took on many different names throughout the world, most known but others not and when he would find his life in that area over. Simply put, he would kill himself or set it up to where he would be killed. His fortune would always be transferred before his death to some distant land beforehand. Finally he ended up in Japan and fell madly in love with the people there. Off in a secluded area of Japan he found himself on one of the last Samurai Towns. Living there for many years he fought besides them and bled with them. Trained in their ways, learned to read and write in their language and even took a bride. She was no one of any special standing there but to him she was the world. Learning the ways of the samurai from the old masters there; he perfected his skills within a two years. Something that would have taken a few lifetimes. But thanks to his healing ability it took far less. It was a hassle to keep it a secret but he ended up doing a fine job of it. Stumbling upon the old smith there he asked him if he would teach him how to make things. Jonathan always liked working and making things work. After a few months he wore the old man down, into teaching him his masterful ways. Spending six years he finally grasped the art of molding metal. Within a two more years he had learned all the old smith knew and went on his way. This entire time he was trying with his wife to have children and yet they could not. Sometimes she would cry on him and blame herself of not being fertile. Sadly, on a night he would never forget, there was a raid from a band of thieves, which called themselves Ninja. They had been fallen Samurai known as Ronin. In the commotion his wife was killed, he got there only too late and slew the assailant. Holding her in his arms he cried as a spear plunged through his back and through his stomach. How he wished he could die from such an attack, for the first time he felt cursed. He laid her down lifeless as she was and stood up. Quickly he pushed off the ground with his feet sending himself sliding up the handle to the attacker, looking up at him as he did; his face emotionless, as he stared deeply into his eyes. Scared into paralysis, his attacker stood frozen, so scared was he, he could not even scream. Not until he was run through by Jonathan’s Katana. Grasping the spear and pulling it all the way through him so he could heal. Looking off in the distance, the rains blurred his vision but he knew there was one there in the darkness. Quickly he grasped the spear and threw it like a missile through the air. The tip of it landed into his foes chest with such a force that he was lifted off the ground and stapled to a tree. John walked out and called the attackers to him. As he did, bolts from crossbows pierced into him; one into each hand, one into each shoulder, one through his left knee and one through his stomach. He could hear the screams of his people or the people he came to know as his own. Several of these ninja came from the shadows and what seemed to be their leader approached him. “You are not one of them why fight?” His words were like venom in the air. “…” John’s words did not come; he only knelt on the ground. His arms spread out; his katana was still in his hand as the leader got closer. “Why fight white man?” He asked in English, very good English which was surprising. “Because, of honor and love.” Jonathan finally spat out the words. “And these people why fight for them?” He said getting closer, getting foolishly in range of his attack, Jonathan’s wounds had healed around the bolts and his strength was regained. “Because these are my people and your men killed my wife.” Jonathan said in Japanese. “Well, your people are all dead… removed from history and no one will remember them!” He said looking over to his men and as he did, Jonathan sprung forward pulling the crossbows from the men holding them. “I will but none will remember you or your men!” Jonathan said as he moved and cut off his head. Quickly he pulled out the bolts as much as it hurt and they launched forward to attack him. Brilliant, was the flash of lightning that hit Jonathan. Quickly slumping over he fell onto his face, even in the thick rain the smoke could be seen from his smoldering body. The men all surrounded him and poked him a few times. “What about him?” One of them said. “No matter, we only followed him because of his strange power. The master never said to attack here.” Another said as a man came out of the shadows and looked them over. “MASTER!?” They all gasped in unison, quickly he surveyed the area. “That one lives.” He said, pointing to Jonathan. “Was it he who silenced this fool?” Their master asked kicking the limp headless corpse. “Y..Yes master.” One stammered. “Bring him with us, nothing remains here for him.” Their master demanded as he departed. Awakening after taking so much damage, he let out a groan. His body was bandaged and wounds were all healed. Slowly he rose and his muscles were tight and sore for the first time in his long life. Finding it hard to open his eyes but soon he did and found a woman sleeping over him. He let out a small smile as his vision became clear. She reminded him of his wife, as he thought of her he knew she was dead. Tears cams, blurring his vision as he looked at her; she seemed young and looked exactly like his wife did when they first met. Slowly, he moved out of the bed or mat like bed, which they had in Japan. As he moved she moved a little not waking. Slowly he moved her into the bed and took her slippers off. She must have been watching over him night and day to be so exhausted. Doing a few stretches to loosen his soreness up he then got dressed finding that they had brought all of his things. “You’re finally awake.” A voice came from outside the small home. Almost in shock Jonathan opened the door quietly and walked out of the home, meeting a man about the age of fifty or so. “Thank you for taking care of me but if you will excuse me. I will be going home if you would be so kind as to show me the way.” John said looking at him, his eyes burning with fire in them. “I could let you go but that village is being repopulated so to say. You see it was my people… well someone from the outside with considerable persuasion skills came into my village and took some of my people and killed who they could. Sadly I got there too late, I didn’t tell them to attack but that fool did and they went. It was like he spoke and when he did you were forced to do what he said.” The old man said looking at Jonathan. “Well, were the dead buried and sent to their ancestors?” Jonathan asked and with a nod the old man replied. “Then if it is ok with you I would like to bathe.” Jonathan said with a smile. “You have been sleeping for two months; I am surprised to see you up and walking about.” He said to Jonathan. “Two months?” He asked looking at the old man as he bowed to him. “My name is John.” “I am Shin and my daughter in there has been tirelessly watching over you, I will allow her to introduce herself to you once she awakens.” He said with a smile as they walked about the lands. Shin explained that the Ronin Samurai had no lord, so he took the position of Lord Samurai to give them a purpose. _**Hidden/unknown Information:**_ Has a brother/sister who runs Twilight Fade.
It is sad to see that the code was messed with. We need to rewrite everything and get it working correctly or else we will have [b] and stuff places they shouldn't be.
Last time we did that I was... well, crazy? Also others were reforming the realm we were in and stuff... just made things harder for everyone else.
I'm not sure how long this is going to take but we are working on the rp. I hope everyone is alright with that and will come back when we come a calling. :D
That's strange I thought the school idea was mine. The reason I said I didn't want the rp to revolve around it was because school rps usually die quickly. People tend the get bored and give up. As for the age thing... I was really tired when writing it. What I meant to say was the age of the mage. So a mage that has a year under their belt would have a better grasp on how to manipulate the mana pool, or pull it faster.

Another thing what are mana batteries for if we have X mana pool. Seems like we have limitless mana.
I don't know if I want to call it a school. But it is going to be where people learn about their magic and the limitations of their own magic. Letter Bee seems to have given everyone free reign over the limitations of magic to the players. Even my character should probably be knocked down a notch. I would like to use the point system that we have been coming up with in order to gauge each person’s limitations. Also explaining that the younger you are the weaker your mana reserve is so people don't go around flaunting spells like there's no tomorrow. There is a strain on each person when they cast spells. This strain depends on the spell power. If its a greater spell it takes a greater amount of mana. Weaker spells and such take little amounts. But this is being vague as people have different definitions of Greater, Weaker and little. Also is mana its own force or does it stem from the mind?
