Another problem with open source is that anybody can fork the code and develop it themself, then distribute it.

F2P MMO's sure. But I see a lot of potential in F2P open source in indie games.
F2P. Open Source. Lol.
Problem with this is that open source means anyone can access the code. That means you'll have people modding and giving away their mods for free. Don't get me wrong, I love open source. But some combinations don't work.
On a serious note, is there is a specific topic it has to be on? I could be of assistance.
