It had just been almost a month since his 18th Roy had left the name Speedy behind. Finally he was going to join Ollie, Green Arrow as a member of the Justice League. As an equal at last.

“It’s not just going to be the three of us is it?” Red Arrow said. Making sure the mask was on his face properly as he saw the people with cameras. For the first time in weeks he smiled. Since striking out on his own Roy had almost forgotten what it was like. He breathed deeply, looking over at their mentors who were just talking to each other.
Real name: Kate Bishop

Alias: Hawkeye (aka Lady Hawkeye/guy)

Age: 17

Appearance:
Costume:

Abilities:
  • Skilled in most forms of weaponry: Using what her father’s vast fortunate she has open to her, Kate learnt various styles of martial arts, fencing and use of firearms. She is also a good shot with a bow, improving greatly since she became Clint Barton’s apprentice.

  • Heir to the Bishop fortune.

  • Brief bio: The daughter of publishing tycoon Derek Bishop, Kate was born into the lap of luxury and had whatever she wanted. But since he father was never home and Kate couldn’t stand his self-serving attitude, she took after her mother, who was selfless and contributed to various charities. Unfortunately for Kate her mother died while working overseas while she was young. While her father left her in the care of her older sister, Kate learnt to chart her own course in life.

A few months after her mother’s death Kate was assaulted while walking in Central Park. She was left traumatized and hated how helpless she felt. She got therapy to help cope with the ordeal. There she learnt to turn the grief, shame and helpless into something positive and vowed never to be a victim again and begun a vigorous training regime. Her father’s vast fortune allowed her to access whatever she wanted and she could hire the best tutors.

She first met a number of heroes at her older sister’s wedding when the church was taken hostage by the Joker out of impulse. His associate Harley Quinn rigged the building with Joker gas bombs while the Joker was waving around a loaded machine gun, threating to open fire on everyone if their insane demands weren’t met. Kate managed to get the detonator off Harley and subdue their two goons, using her compact bow (having gone to the archery range before remembering her sister’s wedding). Joker nearly pulled the trigger on the bride and groom only for an arrow to jam it. Hawkeye (Clint Barton) made his entrance before revealing Cyborg had managed to hack into the bombs remotely and disarmed them before Kate had even made her move. The madman however sprayed Hawkeye with his laughing gas. Though the dose was nonfatal, The Joker was reading to stab Hawkeye with one of his own arrows but Kate came to his rescue. Cyborg witnessed everything (having hacked into the security cameras as well) and was able to tell Hawkeye what had happened once he recovered.

Impressed, Clint took Kate on as his apprentice and granted her access to S.H.I.E.L.D. training facilities. When Clint became Goliath for months he gave her the mantle of Hawkeye during that time. When Clint had enough of relaying on Pym Particles, Kate refused to give up the Hawkeye mantle, so Clint took it back anyway and they both operated under the Hawkeye name.
    Real name: Roy Harper
    Alias: Red Arrow
    Age: 18
    Appearance/Costume:
    Abilities:

    1. Expert Marksman: trained by one of the finest archers himself, Green Arrow, his accuracy is matched only by his mentor and a handful of other archers.

    2. Hand to hand combat: trained by GA’s girlfriend Black Canary, Roy has mastered several hand to hand combat techniques. A hard-hitting exercise regime keeps him at peak human condition.

    3. Deductive reasoning: Far from a master detective, Roy does have some detective skills, including tracking from growing up with the Navajo.

Brief bio: Roy was saved from a forest fire that claimed the life of his parents by an elderly Navajo tribesman named Uncle Brave Bow. Brave Bow raised Roy like he was a member of his old tribe. Roy however never felt like he truly belonged. With few friends there was little Roy could do besides practice with the bow. When Brave Bow passed on Roy was taken in by a local orphanage, Roy was 13 and so was much older than most of the children there. Roy would regularly sneak out at night to practice with his bow and Arrow.

One night he stumbled across Green Arrow attempting to foil a robbery being committed by a man who was obsessed with time calling himself the Clock King. He was easily dodging Green Arrow’s arrows. Roy had a major hero worship of Green Arrow and leapt at the chance to help. He fired and pinned the crook to the wall. Green Arrow was baffled, but saw Roy fleeing the scene. Seeing the young man was a major reality check for Green Arrow, who had mostly taken up superheroing for the thrill seeking.
Oliver Queen made the headlines when adopted Roy Harper. Roy wasn’t sure what this rich sap was doing until he was taken to the arrow cave. Roy accepted Oliver’s invitation to become his crime fighting partner. Roy took on the name Speedy, because he was such a quick shot with the bow.

The two made a decent team, but Oliver found it hard to let go of his thrill seeking ways. A few weeks into their partnership Roy went off alone to investigate a LexCorp warehouse. Oliver had suspected Lex Luthor was up to something after withdrawing a business deal from his own company. Roy found himself strapped to an operating table. Roy later learnt they were attempting to amputate his arm. He heard something about cloning but he was too high on painkillers to understand. Green Arrow came to his rescue. The traumatising moment brought the two closer together, Oliver took being a hero, and training Roy as his sidekick much more seriously. Roy also vowed never to go off alone again for next 5 years he was Speedy.

As time went on Green Arrow joined the Justice League and Roy became friends with Wally and Garth. Wally regularly teased him about his name and made fun of his hat. On his 18th birthday Roy decided to give up the mantle of Speedy and became Red Arrow. As Green Arrow was spending more time with the League and couldn’t teach Roy much more they both agreed he was ready to go solo. Roy took the name Red Arrow to honour his mentor and hopefully to stand as his equal someday.
    Almost done with Roy's profile.

I call Kate Bishop as well. Because I like archers. *hoards all archers in a pile and hisses*
Hey I'm here now. Still Holding Roy Harper for me?
