Posting in the main interest check forums is an established way of "rechecking" interest that I've never seen cause a problem.

You were bugged that 4-5 people joined. I was bugged you found the time to bug about that, instead of focusing on stuff for the others (not even me, really) that are involved in the roleplay in question. It was an instinctive and perhaps irresponsible move, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
