Appearance: Botan stands at 5' 8'' with a moderate build that isn't lean nor bulky weighing in at 160 pounds. He has ocean blue eyes and dark brown hair. His body is well toned and carries the scars of his past. The only signs of aging would be the distinct notice of gray hair and a few wrinkles that lie on his face.
Weaknesses & Fears: - Focus: Given a task, Botan will focus on that one task sometimes forgetting the bigger picture to hone in on that task alone.
- Honor: Sometimes some battles are unwinnable and must be recalculated but Botan's honor gets in his way and will fight until his last breath or is pulled back by others.
- Loss: While he has seen some serious blows in battle, he has never witness an utter defeat on the field, a record he wishes to keep until he passes on.
- Capture: Worst that loosing a battle would be to be captured and not have his honorable death on the field of battle.
Equipment: - Yatoza's Ring: Ring of Sosa Yatoza, Botan's teacher. The ring boosts the wearers attack speed, as long as the attacks are continuous.
- Whispering Dragon Ring: Ring that silents the users footsteps when worn.
- Pendant: A simple pendant with no effect. Even so, pleasant memories are crucial to survival on arduous journeys.

Bio: Botan hails from the Tongai Clan, which is a minor clan that has since been absorbed mostly into the Lotus Clan as their rule spread during the great war. Born within the territory of the Lotus clan, he was raised by his father Hideaki Ichihara, a renowned samurai himself. His mother unfortunately died while he was still young due to illness that was incurable by his village's medicine. When he was of age, Botan began the ardious journey of becoming a samurai, like his father before him, and his father. For the Tongai Clan, all those who would become samurai were taught under Sosa Yatoza, the head of the samurai in the Tongai Clan. Under Sosa Yatoza he learned to hone his skills with a blade, and the main pillars that all samurai were suppose to follow.
Botan's first campaign would be when he was sixteen, a battle against another minor clan that opposed the Lotus's rule. While the battle was won but his clan, tragically it would also mark the death of his father in the battle. In his passing, Botan gained his father's Nagamaki as his own, a weapon he dedicated himself to master. After the death of his father, he threw himself into his training tenfold, his master becoming more then just a teacher to him. Sosa something in Botan that made the young samurai special and upon completion of his training, Sosa Yatoza gave his unique ring Botan telling him to use it wisely. Shortly after Sosa past from old age leaving Botan to define his new path before him.
