Bio

Hello all who have deigned to grace my profile with their presence! I am the great Arrayah, lord of the Phoenix. Or something. I don't know.

Anyways, bio. As of writing this, I am a 23 year old female. I am married. I own two dogs (a Dalmatian and a Labrador... so cliche). I work from home. I like crafty stuff and games. I used to be an MMORPG girl, but have since moved on to things like Minecraft and Ark as well as Rimworld and Dwarf Fortress. Who knows what's next?

I love writing, but only get to roleplaying a few times every couple years. Unfortunately, life gets in the way. I'm starting to have more time lately, and thought it'd be fine to start it up again. We'll see how it goes, but hopefully I stick around this time.

I was on the old RPGuild, so you may recognize my name. If so, hello again! If not, maybe we'll have lots of fun together. If I've been online recently, and you're interested in doing an RP, feel free to PM me. I'm almost always interested in 1x1s as long as I don't have too many going on. Check some of my old threads to see my rules, or pm me if that's too much hassle.

Long live the Phoenix Queen. Or something or other.

Human Bio:
Name: Arrayah Kuchikawa
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Appearance: (NOT YET DECIDED)
Personality: Though no one really knows why, Arrayah is quiet unless she is defending someone. It doesn't matter if she knows this person or not. Bullies are something she absolutely detests, and she would gladly take a blow meant for someone else. Though those who have spoken to her would say she is articulate and intelligent, her grades are low, and she misses more school than she should.. Often, she finds herself alone even though this is what she hates the most.
Backstory: Arrayah used to be a fun and loud girl, but five years ago she turned into what she is today. No one has asked why, and there is no one that she trusts enough to tell.
Skills: She has been taking self defense classes for the past few years, but otherwise she has no skills.
Alter Ego:

Alter Ego Bio:
Name: Moonlit Aegis
Gender: Female
Appearance: (NOT DECIDED)
Personality: Her main focus is protecting anyone she comes across. Aegis not consider herself close to any alter ego, but she would defend them to her death no matter the circumstance. If she feels like someone is trying to overpower an alter ego or take away what she believes are their rights, Aegis becomes furious. This can lead to her killing the criminal, as she sees them, though she will usually feel bad about this later. She is slightly unstable and can sometimes view friends as enemies. She absolutely will not cave under pressure, and if she feels threatened she will lash out.
Weapon(s): A very large, white shield. It can take a blow from most anything and not even dent. It is a defensive tool only. When fighting, she uses her feet and hands as weapons.
Abilities: (NOT DECIDED)
This is really cool! I'll make a CS :D
Oooo me me!

Name: Ignia Octave
Age: 25
Species: Human
Position: Slave
Personality: Like any slave she's obedient and soft spoken. That is, until you see her at night. She is a free spirit trapped in a situation she longs to get away from.
Looks:
History: She was sold as a child because of her hair, the same hair that gave Ignia her name. Her parents believed that the red hair signified that she was sent from hell. She does not know her last name, so she uses her Masters. Ignia knows her age, but not much else. She was not schooled and has worked for Mr. Octave for as long as she can remember. The sea has called to her from the moment she first saw it, and after years of trying, she convinced her Master that sending her on one of the boats would be profitable to him.
Where they lived: Fruwin - poor.
Skills: Entertainment (singing, dancing, etc). First Aid. Cooking.
Reasons for joining the crew: "Lead me to freedom."
Extra details: Ignia's body is covered in scars given to her by her master when he is displeased with her, but the most noticeable mark is the tattoo of a full moon that Ignia has on her hip. This tattoo is usually hidden by her clothing. On each wrist, there is a metal band with a crest to signify that she is the property of the family.
Okay, so as the title says. This roleplay will be mature, but I do not mean SEXUAL when I say this. That being said, I don't necessarily mind sex in a roleplay, but it has to contribute to plot. I'm not sure why this idea suddenly popped into my head, but here it goes:

Cassidee Johnson is 25 years old. She has long, wavy scarlet hair and big green eyes that are always wide with wonder. While in art school, she met a man who was charming, sweet, and handsome to boot. Shortly after graduation, they were married. It wasn't long after that she started to notice things about him. He would get angry when she made the simplest mistakes or if she was just a little bit late getting home. He'd insult and degrade her when he was having a bad day. The worst though, was when he became so frustrated that he was physical with her. 3 weeks ago, Cassidee found out that she was carrying his child. This should have been a happy event that they shared together, but instead she found herself terrified to tell him. In fact, she found herself wanting to leave, afraid for the life growing inside her.

As said, mature themes. It will deal with abuse (mental and physical) and pregnany (though this won't become a theme until the story has progressed far enough for it to be an issue). The story will start with her on the run and stopping somewhere. We can decide this together. I'm looking for a male to be a possible love interest or even just a good friend that she'll meet in the new town. I was planning to play the husband, but if you want you can play him too. Up to you. That's as much as I have of the story so far though. Obviously, her husband will come looking for her.

PM me if you're interested or if you have some more ideas to add! I'll look at this thread too, but would rather you PM.
Sorry! This week I won't be able to post much, and next week not at all. I'm going away for spring break and all that fun stuff. Uh, but we could possibly just go to sleep sometime soon that way we can have some new conflict the next day. Maybe someone comes looking? I dunno.
Oh! Replies! Yes I'm still taking. If you're interested send me a pm :)
I've been sick all week, but I should be able to post tomorrow.
Though the pain disappeared as soon as Kiara was distracted by the girl, her breathing quickened. Her anxiety was through the roof as Vera just continued to talk, obviously expecting an answer. What was she supposed to say to this person? Her hands clenched into fists as she tried to calm herself down, but nothing was working. It was too much. She couldn’t just change who she was overnight.

Her head shook in answer to every single one of Vera’s questions. No she wasn’t leaving, no she didn’t want to run, and no she definitely did not want to go pick out a room. So many things were happening, why would she want to do something like that? Kiara stared at the bench that this shifter was sitting on, but still didn’t move a muscle.

There was one statement though, that troubled her, even though it was something she’d told them all. Dakeyras was her mate. He might not have been her true mate, and she had denied it, but to hear someone else say that he wasn’t… it was wrong, and she felt the need to defend it. If only she could get out the words, Kiara would tell this girl just what she felt about all of this, but she couldn’t. No words came, and her mouth opened just to produce air, as it always did.

Her breathing intensified even more as she failed yet again to say something that she was thinking. What was she doing here? How would she survive? Surely that was why Vera thought it necessary to follow her. To make sure she was cut out to live here. What Vera didn’t know, was that Kiara had no intention of leaving, she just had no idea how to interact with other people anymore. Well, she didn’t know how to react with other shifters. After several minutes, she finally managed to say, “He m-marked… me.” Her legs itched, as if they wanted to run. This was different though. She didn't want to run as a wolf. She wanted to run as a human, run as far as she could and scream.
Will take one more partner for this if anyone else is interested!
While he cooked, Cassidee’s mind, as it always did, began to pretend she had a camera in her hands. Her gaze made its way to the windows and stared out at the rain. How would she capture such a beautiful, complex thing? She would probably want those two sharing an umbrella to be present. It showed how rain created bonds. Or maybe, she would want one walking away from the other. In this, the rain would symbolize a parting, a sorrow. It was so easy, to make rain mean whatever you wanted. It was flexible that way, as if it wanted to please everyone, give meaning to everything. For her, she realized, it symbolized a washing, a cleaning. If she would let it, the rain could wash every pain in her past and let her start over, here possibly.

Her musings were interrupted, when Rhett placed the placed the plate of pancakes in front of her. The smell made her stomach again, and again a blush painted her cheeks pink. It didn’t help that when Cass placed a bite in her mouth, a satisfied sigh escaped her. She hadn’t eaten real food since she had left home, and this was the best thing she had ever tasted. The bread, butter, and syrup combo melted in her mouth. Cassidee only shook her head at his question, and shoveled the food into her mouth in a way that she was sure was unattractive. This wasn’t only because she was starving. The young woman planned to get an early start tomorrow. After all, if she was going to stay, she would need a job, and in a small town it would probably not be easy to find one.

When she was finished, Cass walked over to where she’d left her backpack and pulled out her credit card. Inside, she worried slightly over this. She’d brought the card because she’d known her husband wouldn’t be able to check the history to see where she was using it, but his personality made people want to please him. He often doing things he shouldn’t have been able to. Cassidee shook her head, letting his image disappear from her mind and pulled one more thing out of the pack.

She made sure to hand the card to him, before turning her attention to her still dripping jacket. She raised the camera to her eyes and smiled slightly at the image she saw. In this cozy diner, it looked so out of place. Like her, it didn’t belong here. At least not until it dried.
