A world where industry spread from China and WITH NO MENTION of effects on India, Persia, East Africa, Turkey, etc? For shame. :P Also, what happened to all the indigenous Colombians? Did they just disappear? Was genocide the active policy of all the colonizers right from the start? Did none of the indigenous peoples at all manage to adapt to the invasion, find roles as traders and agents in borderlands, use shifting alliances with imperial powers, adopt elements of industrial technology, etc?

I would be interested in playing, but I would very much like options besides Western Europeans or Chinese.
So.....what now?
D: So sorry Captios! That must be difficult. :(

Please get better, and not just for the convenience of us bothersome roleplayer types :P
Captiooooooos....where did you goooooooo? :'(
Awesome! :D Thanks for keeping us in the loop.
Captios...I really don't want to put a damper on your ambitions, but I'm not getting a very good vibe from "87%." In my experience running and playing in RPs, anything less than a 100% rigid commitment from an admin about to start an RP usually means that they're about to jump ship. It's not that they're lying: They always believe it in the moment, but their optimism doesn't realistically account for the coming reality. The "sudden work load" never goes away like they expect it to.

This generalization might be totally untrue for you, but just saying I'm uneasy. So I would like to have a little reassurance, so I know for sure that this forum is happening. Is there a date by which, unless some horrible accident befalls you or your family, we can expect Update 0? A for realzies no-later-than-this-I-promise date?
So...what's the ETA for Update 0?
I think Zur's concern is that he, I, and others have developed our histories (and material/social culture) with 4000 BCE in mind: no strong consolidated states, no bronze or iron working, no "true" cities (only proto-cities), and certainly not multiple well-developed cities with monumental architecture. On the other hand, others, like Balena_Rex and DAWNSTAR, seem to have incredibly developed and centralized polities for the era.

However, no one has intervened to clarify which model is the "correct one." Should Zur and I be adding bigass cities and armies and histories of ironshod conquest to our apps? Are we shooting ourselves in the foot by trying to follow the guidelines more strictly?
So...Nov 12 is approaching. We going to get responses to our applications soon? :)
Sooooo...anyone in Cradle West interested in shared history or contact beyond what I've written so far?
