Sully

Character

Age: 14
Gender: Male

Personality

Sully had a very lonely upbringing and his personality shows it. He is quiet and doesn't open up very well with strangers often keeping himself at a distance. The few times he has let people in, he has become very protective often acting as a quiet big brother. Also as a pretty big 14 year old, he isn't afraid to stand up to bullies.

Brief Bio

In no uncertain terms his upbringing was hard. His father spent the majority of his time working long hours for minimal pay, while his mother resented Sully due to her longing for a baby girl. The resentment manifested itself as minimal conversation, forgotten meals and missed school performances to name but a few ways. It took its toll on him and he really struggled to let anyone in. Through his early school days he had no friends, not even the most socially unacceptable kids wanted to know him. He simply went to school, kept to himself, and went home every day. He was often picked on physically but would simply accept his fate before walking back home.

When he reached high school things at home didn't get any better, but school was different. While he was still quiet and distant to most, he had a growth spurt which meant he wasn't physically bullied any more. In fact, he used his new found size to stand up for those who couldn't do it themselves. He got a reputation of a friendly giant although nobody made an attempt to become his friend. That was until a few weeks after his 14th birthday.

A transfer student arrived in the school and it was up to Sully to show him around the school. It wasn't long before they became friends. The student was the daughter of a Pokemon trainer who was well respected on the tournament circuit. The girl would tell Sully of her fathers exploits and show him footage of his battles. It was these stories and videos that sparked a fire within him to become a Pokemon trainer himself. Soon the e-mail from Professor Apple arrived and now he was on his way to meet her.
Pokemon

Starter Pokemon: Axew

Personality: Axew is a very jolly Pokemon, spending the majority of his time being playful with humans and pokemon alike. He always has a smile spread across his face and is very much a hugger. He has alot of pent up energy and tends to run around alot like you would expect from a small dog.

The magical energies that twisted around Robert's body slowly dissipated as his form returned to Earth, sparks of energy fading back into the Veil. The first thing he noticed was the thick smell of smoke, his nostrils flaring as the harsh odour tore at the back of his throat. He found himself atop an apartment building, facing a red brick wall with a metal door bent off the hinges to his side. Turning around filled Draig's heart with sorrow. Burnt out buildings, smoldering rubble and corpses lay out as far as he could see. The thick plumes of smoke rose into the air, darkening the midday sky.

"What is this?..." he spoke to himself. "Why would anyone do this?"

There was a thunderous roar overhead as two fighter bombers flew by towards the outskirts of the city. A trail of bright explosions were left in their wake as they bombarded the ground below, decimating several office buildings. Nothing much was left beyond burning rubble, anyone who was inside was surely dead.

"This has to stop!"

As he shouted, the sounds of nearby screams and gun fire caught his attention. Robert clenched his fists tights as he set off at a quick pace. He pounced from the edge of the building sending himself hurtling towards the ground below. Often Robert would make the most of his abilities, throwing in some flair with mid air somersaults and such. This time though, he just wanted to get to the fighting as quickly as possible. Too many people had already died

As he hit the solid concrete below, it cracked outwards from where his foot drove into it. Robert did not break stride however, pushing forward, he propelled himself with his supernatural strength. The wind licked at his face as he moved, his hair trailing behind him wildly. As he rounded a corner his momentum took him through the burnt out remains of an overturned school bus. Luckily there were no skeletal remains within the smouldering husk, meaning all the children had made it to safety.

The sound of fighting was now very close, smoke trails from missiles shot from the next junction followed by the flailing bodies of American soldiers getting launched through the air. The sounds of screams soon outnumbered the gunfire before there was nothing left but the sound of roaring flames. Robert stopped still as he reached the junction, stunned by the horrifying destruction before him. It was then he spotted the cause of the devastation, a creature floating menacingly above several bodies of US soldiers. The expressions etched on the faces of the deceased showed the torture and pain they had felt before their demise. The creatures back was to Robert, but in a ghostly voice in spoke to him.

"Guten Nachmittag! I see the United States have decided to send someone...more...than a mere soldier..." The ethereal voice spoke straight into the mind of Draig, echoing with each word spoken. "Alas mein Waliser freund, you have only come here to die..."

Behind Robert there was the sound of creaking metal, before he turned his body, slamming his fist straight through a car that shot through the air towards him.

"Interesting...you have some talent..." The creature turned to face him, reaveling it daemonic visage. "In Deutschland they call me Die Folter...to you that is The Torture..."

"I couldn't care less who you are. All I know is that you'll be dead soon."

The mouth of Folter moved for the first time, transforming its expressionless mouth into a horrifying grin.

"Ah poor, misguided Yankee slave...my powers of Telekinesis are unmatched. I can move buildings with a simple thought, I can flay minds faster than..."

Before the thought could be finished, Draig had closed the distance and drove his fist straight into the crowned head of Folter. Ivory white teeth shattered into dust and blood sprayed the ground as it's jaw disintegrated from the power of the blow. There was a terrifying howl as the German operative flew backwards into the wall behind. As Folter's back smashed into the concrete wall, its bones audibly cracked, before it's body fell limp to the floor. Robert walked over, side stepping around the remains of the dead US soldiers.

"How...can...this..."

Draig stood above the crumpled mass of shattered bone and flesh as it shuddered through pain and fear. He could feel the creature attempting to attack his mind with psychic force but his ties to the Veil made it easy for him to block it out. Robert reached behind his back and drew one of his daggers, the mirror like blade reflecting the dancing flames of a nearby car. He took a knee and stared at the bloodied hole where Folters jaw once was.

"You and your kind will rue the day you stepped foot outside of your rotten country."

Robert grabbed the bone like crown atop Folters head and with one rage filled strike, drove the dagger into the roof of it's mouth. One last ear shredding cry filled the air before all the life left Folter's body. When he removed the blade a thick purple smoke began to form around Folter's body. It ran from head to toe, covering every inch before finally evaporating. The daemon looking visage of Folter had gone, leaving a jawless corpse dressed in a black German uniform. The hole left from the dagger poured blood down the front of the Germans uniform, before pooling underneath the mishapen body.

Age: 29

Nationality: Welsh
Powers - [Within Self/Granted By Items]

The Foresight
Years within the Veil of Annwn have honed the supernatual powers within Draig. The magical energies of the realm have imbued into his very soul granting him split second foresight. The Foresight allows him to dodge all but the fastest of attacks, the energies granting him the speed to do so.

Force of Goch
As with the Foresight, the Veil has giving Draig supernatural strength. He is able to throw a main battle tank with a reasonable amount of effort and can punch his way through a bank vault door in one shot.

Enhanced Durability
As a result of the Bindings of Annwn, Leolin has an increased durability to all damage. His body can withstand a direct hit from an armour piercing tank round and he is able to fall from great heights with no risk of injury.

Teleportation
The Daggers of Annwn provide a direct link to Draigs soul. Draig is able to pinpoint their exact location at all times. He can teleport himself directly to wherever they may be, although the greater the distance, the harder it is on his body. Distances over a mile induce nausea, while distances over 100 miles will result in him immediately blacking out upon arrival. Draig is unable to teleport the daggers to his location. When teleporting, a small cloud of white smoke and bright sparks of residual magical energy are left behind, disipating moments later.

In addition, with several minutes of focussing, Draig can teleport into the Veil with no ill effects.
Items

Daggers of Annwn
The daggers are made of a mystical ore called Gwyn, which is found only in the realms of Annwn. The most comparable material to Gwyn is Uru, which is an ore used by the Asgardians.

The daggers are bound to the soul of the person who owns them, amplifying their magical talents while in their possession. They grant the owner abilities beyond that which they are capable of themselves.

Bindings of Annwn
A cloth and leather like armour in appearance that is imbued with millennia old magic. The energies spread through the wearers body granting increased durability. Much like the daggers, the Bindings are tied to Draigs soul. If they receive any damage they regenerate almost instantly.
Weaknesses - [Within Self/Granted By Items]

Human
While wearing the Bindings of Annwn, Draig is able to withstand the most severe of attacks. Without them he is no more resistent to damage than any other human. While he still has The Foresight, anything capable of landing a blow would essentially be hitting a normal man.

Annwn Above All
While the Mabinogi are taught by their ancestors to defend humanity, the veil must take priority. Should the Veil fall into the wrong hands then humanity would most certainly be devastated. As such, the Mabinogi are oathbound to defend the Veil above all else if called to its defence.

Bindings of Annwn
The bindings make Draig a veritable juggernaut, however as with most things it does have a weakness. The element silver is able to pierce through the Bindings and their magic as if they were no more than leather armour.
Brief Bio:

On the outside Iolo and Gwyneth Cadogan are a loving couple blessed with a son called Robert, but there is much more to the family than that. Iolo and Gwyneth are part of the Mabinogi, direct descendents of the ancient Druids of Britannia. The Mabinogi are a tribe that managed to pierce through the very fabric of reality through to the Veil of Annwn untold millennia ago. The Veil of Annwn exists in an ethereal realm and is home to very powerful magic. The souls of the dead Mabinogi inhabit the Veil as teachers to the young, passing on the history of the tribe. They teach the importance of humanities preservation and the need to defend it, but are instructed to always put the Veil first. Should it even fall to the Coriniaid, then humanity would be doomed for eternity.

The Coriniaid are another Druid tribe that has existed as long as the Mabinogi. Where the Mabinogi strive to protect humanity, the Coriniaid want to enslave it into total servitude. The two tribes have shared the Veil in equal measure since it's discovery, neither side able to gain ground in the ancient conflict. Should the Mabinogi fall then humanity would be subjected to an eternity of hellish slavery.

Robert has been raised for much of his life within the Veil, learning the history of his people and training to become as powerful a warrior as he can possibly be. Upon reaching the age of 18 he took the Oath of the Mabinogi, the result of which caused the Veil and its magic to fuse into his very being, granting him great strength and power. The Oath is a promise to protect the Veil against the Corianiad at all costs. If the Oath were ever to be broken, the power granted to him would disappear in an instant.

In the years following his taking of the Oath, Robert fought in several long battles against the Coriniaid. There was no victor from these fights, simply a neutral outcome leading to several years of uninterrupted quiet. Neither tribe pushed against the other, deciding to take time to consolodate their power until the next time. It was during this "peace" that the Fourth Reich appeared.

Roberts father Iolo is the Arch Lector of the Mabinogi, the person responsible for defending both the Mabinogi and wider humanity. With the Fourth Reich's invasion of the US, Iolo instructed Draig to leave the Veil and to set about defeating the Axis threat. There was a brief goodbye before Robert was teleported directly into Washington DC.
Yeah that's no problem, I'll drop it

Is it ok to go ahead and post the character into the characters tab and then get my first post done?

Light of Essylt
With a quick thought Draig is able to enshroud his entire body in an aura of light. To those of an evil disposition, the light is a thousand times brighter than the sun, blinding them instantly. To those pure of heart, the light is a healing glow, instantly curing all injuries and ailments. Anyone who is caught in the lights beams are affected. Shutting eyes is not enough to protect someone, only a physical barrier will do.

This magical ability requires a lot of energy and results in Roberts powers weakening for several hours afterwards.
