James lay in bed completely bored. He wasn't very angry that he was turned into a little brother. Sure it sucked but the world was still pretty much the same. His brain wasn't altered when he was turned unlike the little sisters who had been changed to see a magical heaven or some crap like that. One of the people who experimented on him told him he would be given a big daddy soon which the mere thought excited him.
He knew very well that it was the pheromones or whatever that was making him excited about it but he couldn't shake the urge to have a big daddy. The urge to call him Mr. Bubbles or to picture him as a knight in shining armor. But it wasn't James' intent on having a big daddy. He wanted to get out of this grimy hellhole but he knew he wouldn't make it anyways. His appearance, the disgusting thing he was turned into, he hated it. James knew nobody on the surface would accept him or love him. Only Mr. Bubbles could love him now.
James shook his head, these constant thoughts about a magical knight and protector had been getting to him. He thought he had fully resisted the brain altering procedures but they kept getting to him. Sometimes the world would flash into a wonderful utopia. The corpses would become angels and the splicers, finely dressed party goers. It sickened him. If there was anything he hated more than this horrible city, it would be his hatred for being lied to. For not seeing things the way they are. Angry, James grabbed his baseball bat and smashed it against the wall until a nice hole had been made. When he heard footsteps coming, he threw the bat under the bed and acted like he was reading his book.
Two men crashed through the door. "What's the problem here you little brat?" Ushered one of the men. James smiled and spoke, his
voice sounding demonic in nature, like the little sisters. "I don't know what you're talking about." One of the men laughed. "It doesn't matter anyways, when you get a big daddy you will be like all the others, the pheromones will make you love him and make you unable to resist the urge to gather adam." James' smile faded. "In your dreams." He said, the men slammed the door and walked off. "Idiots." James murmured.
