I think everyone would want to be the avatar unless you talking about those blue nature people avatars but otherwise I would not mind becoming the avatar or at least becoming maybe... water bender cause water is cool, though metal is also cool... wind was cool but I do not want to shave my head even though it optional, and lightning seemed well... just after you watch lightning in dbz it like lightning just a special effect these days

I prefer characters with growth and limitations to be honest, take away limits and a good character becomes an OP God, take away growth then there is no room for change unless that is his personality... either way I can normally post once to three times a day, but depending on how long the setting and how much detail there is I can understand an rp having one week between replies lol...

Name: Aura Lodestone Age: 16 male Appearance:
Faction: Civilian Sidearm: Gear Blade ( custom made weapon that generally began as a gear but through dabbling too much ended up as some for of blade, the gears on the hilt of the weapon allows the length to be adjusted from ten centimeters to twenty centimeters currently. The gear when loaded with coal can trigger a slight steam function that only aims to make it cut better by the steam being released through hidden pores. Currently can not be used for more than five seconds due to the steam starting to flow out of the gear to the user's hands. This prototype needs to be improved but sadly no one is willing to help him make such a useless weapon when a real sword could do a far better job, however its portable nature is at least ideal for cutting bread and so on which is what he generally uses it for ) Skills: Not a genius and not a novice, he is a general engineer and crafter who is still learning. He is able to fix and dabble in most things, however the only thing he is somewhat good at are engineering Gears and in this case makes Timers as well for clocks, mining explosives and other machinery. He is primarily left handed, but is co-ordinated with both hands. Cooking, cleaning and general errand running Bio: Aura V Lodestone, it is unclear what the V stands for as his mother sold him off to the mines to work for the Aristocrats to pay off a debt under the guidance of the Hudson Family who ran the mines and was due to an agreement between the Aristocrats and the Hudsons. His family name was based on an old mining family, however his talent for mining was not up to standard as he got tired too quickly and got sick too often. Not wishing to lose out on their servant producing them with a return for their investment, they began using him for minor errands as he would cook, clean and do just about anything the aristocrats did not want to do themselves. He was a shy boy and also a quiet one at that, so he avoided trying to mingle with other kids his age and was outcast due to his servant status. Due to his talent for performing errands he was not well received by the other servants who ended up having to work harder since the stupid boy did not know you should hide how much you can actually do or you end up with more and more work until you can not take it anymore. He occasionally got beaten up and while he still does cry, his not quick to cry unless he trusts someone which currently rates as no one. He enjoys tinkering with gears, but his main creation the gear blade is still a work in progress along with his strange headwear which just basically blocks out or muffles sounds. The others felt it was stupid since you could just block your ears or something instead of this weird stupid looking device which later got stolen by a bunch of kids and used as a toy for some dogs. Being bullied and mistreated often he was not really enjoying his life and suddenly his life changed as the family he served under got killed off in an attack on the mansion. With his masters dead and nowhere else to go he now roams the streets with his stuff which includes a broken headset, his gear blade, just the bit of clothing he stole from the aristocrat section and customised in secret, though he just felt it was better to have it look a bit stupid so they would not figure out he stole it. He also has a small loaf of bread and two bottles of water left. Now he wonders where he will go and what he will do other than work on his gears again

So I am guessing characters go into the character section and so on so let me see, got a few questions for clarity was not sure whether to pm or just pop it in OOC style
Class 1: The Aristocrats Traits: Specialist in Melee combat/Swordsmanship. They have a high profile in society so their appearance to other people is very formal and posh.
So they might have fencing maybe by any chance? and I am guessing the setting is rather western or will there be eastern style swordsmanship as well with katanas etc... Also guessing these people are rich in general so might not be a stretch for them to have servants or large mansions or even owning buildings etc
Class 2: House of Hudson Traits: Specialist in Ranged weaponry and Mechanical skills Name must end with Hudson A bit more of a rough and ready group of mechanics and miners.
The Hudsons, the last name might put some people off though Hudson River is always nice, Mechanics and Miners so guessing they also might be engineers as well, using old school or advanced but not modern looking guns perhaps... they could use mechanical bows right?
Class 3: Children of Umbra Traits: Specialist in Alchemy and Pseudo Science, as well as stealth. When around normal people they blend in with no difficulty. Can be identified by an Omega tattoo on the inside of their upper lip.
Pseudo Science and Alchemy are two of the coolest skills of all but does that mean they limited on what weapons they can use if any? Stealth plus daggers I get a strange Assassin's Creed vibe coming from this group
Class 4: Civilian (General Purpose Class) Traits: No particular speciality but has a bit more freedom within the world. Can have a skill in something not associated with a family (eg: Detective, Doctor, Merchant, etc) Has the ability to join a family at a later date if desired but does not gain their traits.
So they get to have a custom trait then or no specialty FINALLY ALL THE BIG QUESTIONS 1. Do you gain any traits later on, or can you have more than one trait? 2. Besides the setting and the limit of two weapons, do armor or protective clothing also count in this limit or they separate 3. Can a civilian still be a miner or engineer for that matter? 4. Since it is steampunk I just have to ask, will there be SteamBots... always seems that steampunk generally has mechs, but the setting seems dated so not sure how it would or would not work, then again it would probably count as a weapon and not like you can take that out in public 5. Is there an age limit for your character, though I probably going to pick sixteen anyways but good to know how low or how high you can go sometimes... 6. its called coal so would it be okay to assume that there is a lot of coal mines or coal in general
X-Men is always interesting and not that everyone knows Magneto's powers are average at best, but the way he uses them makes him epic That and telekinesis of a high level just out right beats it but the only telekinetic I know comes with some average telepathy attached and is ranked as one of the most powerful mutants of all time... Anyways I am interested but is there a limit to what powers you may have?
you might want to put a bit of what is on that MS word to get people more interested, it sort of vague but the nice picture makes it interesting I guess
As a note, I tend to prefer more natural like characters or underdogs with problems. It's mainly so we avoid accidentally creating characters like Arceus, Aang or Goku where the insanity level starts pretty high.
I also like those characters, but sadly those characters sometimes undergo a Naruto or Ichigo transformation, basically they get lucky or have hidden insane super powers that keep coming out to save them for their one thousand mistakes... Then even after learning said mistakes after say one or two years they become so OP that even though they stupid they just down right Godmode all the bad guys into oblivion... Not many people realise it but Lelouche from Code Geass was an underdog even though he was super smart and had a rather OP power with a large limitation of working on someone only once and a bunch of other limitations... He was still OP I admit, but he had limits unlike Infinite Chakra Naruto or Infinite Reiatsu and there were other things about Ichigo that just went too far, to be honest his the main character but I hated him the most in the show go figure and sorry for chatting so much just had all that backed up in my head after reading what you said
seems interesting, but so we going to get a random power basically or will we get like a choice of three or something like that?
seems interesting
