"Ehhh...as I mentioned before, all the hacks I download are from my contacts, and for that program specifically I'd have to pay more than a pretty penny to obtain, not to mention if I can find someone willing to cross the line of legality. If you want to mess around with cameras, maybe bring an old camera phone along and hold it out like you're texting, wouldn't draw too much suspicion (no guarantee for attention). You should be able to buy one on the cheap anyways..." Kris's right hand was a flurry across the screen as he brought up the app for Internet, and surfed for used phones on sale nearby.

His hidden left hand however, methodically tapped the messenger app, and at a painstakingly slow speed typed in Lily's email; hesitation gripped Kris as his finger hovered over 'Begin Conversation'. It's true that for the life of him, Kris couldn't keep Lily from rubbing him the wrong way, especially during a crisis like this. He'd only wish he could go back to yesterday and alter a certain chain of events that led them all to this moment. But in the present situation there were only bleak and vague options ahead against the hacker, if Angelo and Kris were to continue without the help of anyone else, ready and willing to. Plus, it really was bothering Kris that the former had so willingly shut away his Protoge and possibly only friend (or close acquaintance)...he wasn't sure, but he had the strong feeling that maybe he could help fix that.

"...And how do you suppose we "study" people? Maybe I gave you the wrong idea when I gave you the drop earlier in class, but I'm barely a spy enthusiast -- you won't find me peeking over shoulders nor planting bugs. There aren't many places and times during school where students leave their belongings unattended, and I hope you're not proposing straight up searching bags for a single tablet, let alone even separate one from their owner. Though, I can think of one class that may be easier, PE for the locker room, but normally juniors should've finished that class last year...unless someone you know happens to have flunked that class."

Kris grinned almost evilly as he thought out that last line; he still had something over his angst-ridden 'seniors'. "Of course, there's after school sports practice as well, but I doubt you nor Lily are the jock type, nor am I."

Kris attached the cable back into his Neuro Linker and sat back down. "Ah...about that, my bad for writing something to be taken too literally. I'm not much of a party animal myself, you see...and Ochre hasn't explicitly asked to see us in person. However, there's an internet cafe nearby, you may know it yourself, that's a popular hotspot for Burst Linkers to duel and...meet with contacts. Anyways, assuming we don't require outside help for what is basically our local problem to fix, how should we trace the bot, and confirm its owner? A tablet is still an ambiguous start."

Kris sighed outwardly this time, as he watched the expressions change of Angelo and Lily's furious, silent exchange, and steeled himself in case things decided to backfire. He rose to his feet and called out to the head tutor, "Excuse me, could you help this student, Lily, out? I think she wants a tutor for her calculus, but I'm busy right now. Maybe someone else could take her in?"

The head tutor leaned out over his desk and replied, "Sure!" He set down the magazine he was reading and got out of his seat to greet Lily, waving to get her attention, "Hello, if you don't mind me interrupting your private conversation, would you like a tutor for anything?"
