Bryn walked through the courtyard with Amadeus by her side, all of her attention focused on the book in her hands. Every once in a while Amy would nudge her to keep her from walking into objects or people since she paid no mind to her surroundings as she read through the pages of her book. She moved along absentmindedly, finally stopping once she reached a large tree. She sat down with her back pressed up against the trunk of it, unaware of the guy who lay on the other side of the tree. Amy laid down beside her, resting his head in her lap. Bryn reached up and tucked her hair behind her ear, letting the soft commotion of the courtyard around her become white noise. As she read on, her thoughts began to trail away from the book and finally onto the environment around her. She looked around at the other people walking around her, feeling a bit uneasy as she realized she didn't know any of them. Her solitude had never bothered her in Antibes, but that was due to her familiarity of the town and everyone in it. Here, she felt completely isolated. Amy sensed a shift in Bryn and pinned his ears back, but made no other movements. "Juste respire mon enfant," She whispered under her breath in her first language, repeating the words her father had told her before she had left for the Academy.
