Do you have what it takes to be famous? This reality tv parody is the perfect place to demean Hollywood, reality shows, and reality stars in a Mean Girls and Douchebaggy way. The next wave of fame is about to pass through this world and we're going to catch it. Five (or so) young adults will be selected to live in a house together, each with their own talent. There will be challenges and drama but only one will be given their own TV show at the end of the season.
Will you become famous? Get the girl/guy of your dreams? Get revenge? Tryouts are happening right now!
You receive a document in the mail. The envelope is sealed with a golden sticker and the letter inside is a thick cream-coloured letter. It reads:
Dear lucky contestant,
You have been selected to participate in our new reality series, “Hollywood Show-Down,” in which you will compete against the other contestants. You will be faced with challenges along the way and the bonds you make can help or hurt you. You will be roomed in a dorm and share the living quarters with the contestants. Your patience and skill will be tested in the house just as much as it is with the challenges. During this time there will be a camera crew in the house at all times. Will your fan base grow or will they fight amongst themselves?

COMPETITION RULES
ALL CONTESTANTS ARE EXPECTED TO FOLLOW ALL OF THE FOLLOWING RULES. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE ACTION.
- THERE WILL BE NO BODILY HARM TO OTHER CONTESTANTS - LEAVING THE PREMISES WITHOUT PERMISSION IS NOT ALLOWED - DO NOT INTERACT WITH PRODUCERS, CREW OR ANY OTHER STAFF ON SET - ATTEMPTING TO INJURE A FILM CREW MEMBER WILL NOT BE TOLERATED - NO ITEMS MAY BE BROUGHT INTO THE HOUSE THAT ARE NOT APPROVED - ALCOHOL WILL BE PROVIDED, DO NOT BRING YOUR OWN - SABOTAGE OF OTHER CONTESTANTS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED - NO WEAPONS - IF YOU SEE ANY VIOLATION OF THESE RULES, REPORT IMMEDIATELY TO A PRODUCER
You chuckle to yourself, noticing that nearly all contestants break at least half of these rules and are caught on camera. You shake your head, guessing that it’s just a legal thing. If anything, they encourage these things because they get more views.
You’re then asked to bring your own clothes, accessories, makeup, hair products and everything will be checked to see if it’s approved for taking with you. A week later a limo will come to collect you.
Game Rules
- Minimum of one paragraph per post, but I encourage more and I love co-op posts. - Don’t God mod, just don’t do it. Also, don’t control others’ characters. - Keep OOC in OOC, and IC in IC. Don’t take things personally from IC and keep knowledge in OOC. - If you’re not ok with adult themes, insults, and all kind of other crazy things that are in reality TV, this RP isn’t for you. - Please, please, please, break the contest rules. - Put your character submission here in the OOC and I’ll tell you if it needs tweaking or if you can move it over - Relax, and have fun!
Your talent:
Your talents are things you can do. They're your skills and the things you apply to the contest. They will be the things tested in challenges and the better you are, the more followers you will have. This would be like "class" in D&D language.
Talents (Specify talent to the side):
Singing (Includes opera, pop, rapping, etc)
Music (Includes any instrument, mixing, etc)
Physical art (Includes painting, sculpting, graffiti etc)
Acting (Includes movies, TV show, standup comedy, social media etc)
You will get 3 points to spread over three talents or pile them up on one.
You will have chances to add in points during the roleplay, but for no more than three areas.
One point would be the equivalent of having one semester of class in that area or six months of work.
Luck and boosts can change the rate of this, but it's a point of reference.
I will ask that even if you have your points spread evenly, you have a “major” ability that you’re applying to be in the program for. For example, singing as a major ability even if you can play instruments.
You will level up when ready, I’ll keep track of this part with your XP. Every level you get 1 point to add to your talent. Every 5 levels you get to add 1 ability point.
