@Arawak I'd say probably beforehand. The humans and even the exot (alien) races have the best of intentions towards peaceful coexistence, but their hopes end up being dashed by various factors on each side.

Also collective mass suicide...damn. This is going to be an interesting world.
Looks great! So glad this bore fruit.

I guess I'll just start by reposting my stuff from the interest check.

Preferred activity times?

Monday, Wednesday: 7-10 PM EST
Friday: 2-10 PM EST
Tuesday, Thursday: 2-10 PM EST
Weekends: Depends on the weekend, but I'm usually busy doing things on Saturdays and free most Sundays

I'm a college student so my schedule is also variable based on finals/papers and etc. but thankfully the midterm season is over and this isn't a very paper heavy semester for me.

Palette: What must exist?

Lifeforms of which human beings have no rational comprehension and which are truly alien in a nature, contradicting our own notions of time, thought, and biology.

Palette: What cannot exist?

Borg imitators or grimdark 40k-like races (e.g. concepts for aliens and factions should be unique)

Now make a period of time.

The colonization of the world of Vektri, commencing an era of relative peace between the human settlers and the exot races of the Mane. [Light]

Epoch years of your time period?

Early-Mid timeline.

Also @Arawak, is this the only contribution to the palette we're allowed? I understand it's preferable to flesh things out in game but if we're able to add anything else now just let me know.

I like what we have so far. It seems like most of us are on the same page. I'm hyped

Does anyone have any idea as to what the end of the timeline should be? As it seems we have a pretty dark future laid out before us as it stands, I think a tragic end would suit us best.
So any word @Arawak?
Interested as well.
I am extremely interested in this but I agree with the others in that I doubt I could do it over Discord or in the format cited in the OP.

I think that this format:

Post 1: The current Lens picks the Focus (which is a Period or Event)
Post 2-5: Other players build on said focus. The general pattern is if the focus picked a period, everyone makes events, if the focus picked a event, everyone makes scenes.
Post 6: Lens makes last event/scene (Which has to be within the Period or Event the focus him/herself has made)
Post 7: A legacy is made by the player who was lens last. (a legacy is essentially the consequences of an event)
Post 8: A new lens selected. (The next player becomes the new Lens)
Post 9: The new lens picks the Focus.

would work much better for me, and probably most people.

That said I really hope this happens because the concept is fascinating. I will be looking checking out the book online and giving it a look through, because I can imagine all kinds of games and settings where it could work. It's an interesting way to worldbuild and engage with history.

Here's my additions:

What must exist in this world?

Lifeforms of which human beings have no rational comprehension and which are truly alien in a nature, contradicting our own notions of time, thought, and biology.

What cannot exist in this world?

Borg imitators or grimdark 40k-like races (e.g. concepts for aliens and factions should be unique)

Period/Era of Time

The colonization of the world of Vektri, commencing an era of relative peace between the human settlers and the exot races of the Mane. [Light]
I'm definitely interested
I'm down for options one or too
Me and Hyg are also working on a collab atm

And I will probably post my next solo post soon but I don't want to clog the IC lmao
Yo @Aristo, I was just wondering: would it be possible for us as players to have some characters on the Timluk side?

Also kudos for just being here man and keeping it alive.
Nice post gentlemen, I like some of the plot threads we're laying down
