:D Awesome. Posted and updated with a picture.
Character Name - David Rouland
Race - Vampire
Nationality - Caucasian
Gender - Male
Age - Appears in his late twenties but is actually well over a hundred.
Appearance -

Imagine with no facial hair, paler skin, and light blue eyes.

David is average height for a Caucasian male. The muscles on his body are well toned from decades of conditioning as well as many years of combat. His hair is kept short and faded gradually from shaved at the base of his skull to four inches at the top of his head. Davids eyes are a light blue due to his vampirism and his skin is a bit fairer than his outdoorsy life style would suggest.

Height - 6"
Weight - 215lbs
Clothing - His attire is totally depended on what the day consists of. Anywhere from a casual suit, basket ball shorts and a tank top, to the camouflage utilities of his occupation.
Weapons - David is diverse in the use of weapons but he prefers dual Glocks (sometimes suppressed) and a plethora of combat knives for both close work and throwing.
Speciality - He is most comfortable with close to mid ranged combat.

Skills - Marksmanship, while not sniper quality, is greater than your average joe.
Knife fighting and throwing.
A fair competence in stealth.
Hand to hand combat.
Works well with others.
Loyal to a fault.

Flaws -
An avid smoker.
well rounded but master of none.
Man of action and abandons all caution when comrade is in danger.
Not proud of what he's become, things he's done and seen. If a vampire can have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, David would definitely have it.

Fears - Nothing scares him more than the prospect of failing his comrades.

Personality - David is not one would expect from a Vampire. Many view him with contempt for what he is but it only serves to push him harder to prove them wrong. He values loyalty and friendship born of struggles. If you fight alongside him, he will be your friend until the day he ceases to exist.

Backstory - World War one was well under way when David enlisted with the Marine Corps and German forces had penetrated deep into France. On June first, Château-Thierry and Vaux fell, and German troops moved into Belleau Wood. The U.S. Second Division was called into position to halt the advance, within the division was the Fifth and Sixth Marines. On that very evening, German troops punched a hole through French lines to the Americans flank and their reserve force was marched to plug the hole in the lines. The next few days saw heavy German casualties as they attempted to breach the gap held by First Battalion, Fifth Marines. On the sixth day of June the allies launched their counter attack on the Germans. It was on this field of battle that David christened himself with the blood of enemies. He belonged to Third Battalion, Sixth Marines, which was to attack from the west. On they charged through thick wheat fields and hails of enemy machine gun fire. All David could do was charge forward, fueled by the anger caused from seeing so many of his brothers dying around him.

The Germans paid dearly once the Marines engaged them in close combat. The melee was brutal, bayonets, rifle stocks, and other weapons of opportunity were wielded with a hate filled determination as they commenced the bloody work. At first he used his rifle, felling men with well aimed shots. Once his ammo ran dry, he used his bayonet. Finally he came down to using his bare fists to pummel the enemy soldiers that had killed his friends and brother in arms.

It was during one such engagement that David faced the Vampire that would turn him. The two clashed and exchanged blows, the German ultimately proved the stronger (being a Vampire, unknown to David) and David was forced to the ground. His enemy pinned him to the ground and strangely, bit his neck violently. David screamed in a mixed emotion of pain, anger and surprise. The Vampire would have bled him dry had he not reached for and grasped the knife that the German had dropped. In a desperate act of defiance he plunged the blade into his attackers ribs and pierced his heart. The soldier died on top of him and he struggled to roll the corpse off of him. He stood and through blurry vision surveyed the battle field. The Marines were winning despite heavy loses. David felt himself grin before blacking out.

It was dark when he awoke and is head throbbed with pain. There was a bandage on his neck that looked as though it hadn't been changed since the wound was inflicted. Tentatively he lifted it to inspect.. and found nothing. He observed his surroundings and concluded that he was in a medical tent well behind friendly lines. An attractive french nurse smiled and approached him.

"You're awake! we were afraid we'd lost you." she said with a heavy accent.
"Yea.." came Davids reply, looking up at her. His gaze settled on her throat.. it seemed so.. inviting.
"Here, let me take a look at that." the girl went to reach for his bandage.
"No, no its fine." he stated as he regained his composure and stood. "Thank you, thank you for everything. Really. But I must get back to my unit" his words were rushed and uncertain as he left the infirmary, gathering his uniform coat as he did.

David eventually found his way back to his unit, feeling quite sickly all the while. It wasn't until the next battle shortly after that David finally bit into another human being. A German soldier, dying by his hand. It was the same thing that had happened to him though David made sure to kill the man. He screamed to the clouds as the realization dawned on him that something was very wrong. He continued to feed on enemy soldiers and felt the power he now possessed. David was faster, stronger, and his battle wounds healed quickly. Soon his curse became a blessing and he embraced it, using it as a powerful military advantage.

David continued on through World War One feeding on enemy soldiers. He would brazenly charge fortified positions and take on the more dangerous tasks. These actions earned him many medals. After the war was another dilemma entirely, no longer able to rely on German soldiers for feeding. Though he'd become a Vampire David was very much the patriotic Marine he'd been before the change and he loathed feeding on American citizens. Feeding only when he could not bare the sun any longer and only on evil men.

It wasn't until World War Two that David encountered any other supernatural beings. Japanese Vampires.. skilled with the use of Katanas. They were difficult foes to face but they clung to their way of Bushido and David was too modern for such things. His response to their sword work was a combination of knives and .45 caliber bullets from his 1911. Unknown to David, his behavior was picked up by members of The Regiment imbedded with the Sixth Marines he was serving with. So far they had not made any attempts to contact him.

The Second World War had hardened him further but also increased his sense of pride and loyalty. The battles he fought across the Pacific were bloody and brutal and he lost many friends but he felt that he'd done good.

As the modern era dawned, so too did his ways of feeding. No longer did he skulk in the shadows of crowded streets and pick off criminals but rather he broke into hospitals and took blood bags as he needed, never taking too much so that his actions went unnoticed. Along with the new age came new wars and David once again found himself enlisting with the Marines under a different name. The conflict in the east was quite unlike anything he'd experienced before. Enemies did not wear uniforms.. they hid among the populace and used them as shields against the U.S's superior forces. It was a cowards tactic but proved effective. After his first deployment, David sought to join the Recon teams hoping that being with a more specialized unit would allow him a better opportunity to take the fight to the enemy.

After a century of the bloodiest battles in human history and the cloak and dagger approach to modern combat, David has distinguished himself as both warrior and friend. 'No better friend, no worse enemy' these words accurately describe the Vampire. It is now, modern day, that the specialized Vampire warrior has been contacted by the organization that has been watching him..

I'm interested :D Might I make some suggestions to the weapons? As for Shotguns and Assault Rifles anyway. The M27 IAR is a fully automatic rifle only slightly bigger than the M4 with a dramatic increase in accuracy and rate of fire. The m1014 benelli is a semi automatic 12 gauge shotgun with an 8+1 shell capacity (the plus one being a full tube and one in the chamber) It has a telescoping buttstock that can be extended for accurate shoulder fire or collapsed for easier hip firing.

Edit: The m27 if equipped with the appropriate scope can also act as a small caliber sniper rifle (5.556, same as the M4 and M16) because of its accuracy. Its a diverse weapon indeed. I know this because I use it ;)
Noticing Brogans slight dilemma, Dralith drew his second Katana. The blade was yet to be enchanted and hence was not attuned to him. Though he was reluctant to part with it, he could simply get another at Cloud Ruler Temple. He stood and launched the sword towards the Bosmer. The katana flipped through the air and planted into the ground several feet from Brogan. "Do be careful with it will you?!" he called. "I'd hate to see such a weapon tarnished by too much blood!" Dralith said with obvious sarcasm and winked. Until Brogan could find a suitable weapon, Dralith would have to let him hold onto the sword.

Elsewhere on the battlefield, Kiba and Daric charged a group of three. Upon seeing the pair, the Cultists invoked their bound armor and maces to meet the charge. Kiba was the first to reach them and leapt into the air for a downward thrust on one opponents throat but her sword was deflected by her enemies mace. What the cultist did not expect was her unarmed left hand to close in with a fireball behind his guard and he was blasted back by the spell, his armor singed. As she struck out with what would've been a killer blow another mace appeared and deflected her strike wide of its mark. A second cultist had intervened.

Daric was having similar luck. After a brief bout of slashes, thrusts, and parries with his foe, it seemed as though he would score an easy kill. As he gained the upper hand on the cultist, the one that Kiba burned had regained his composure and stepped in to defend his brethren. And so it continued for several minutes. Kiba and Daric would outmatch their single opponents and the three agents would dance and alternate between each other to maintain an impenetrable defense. The cultists realized they had the advantage and went on the offensive, pushing the pair back. Daric raised his sword to block a downward strike from a mace and the two became locked. As his sword locked with his opponents mace he noticed another mace coming in aimed at his exposed right flank. He said a silent prayer to the nine as he saw the blow coming but could not defend against it.

Before it made contact it was blocked by the blade of an axe. Puzzled, Daric dared look to see who his savior had been. Rias stood, dual axes in hand and grinned at him. "Close one there Breton." she joked as she pressed the attack on the third agent.
The Breton chuckled and disengaged his sword, turning and going on the offensive as well. "Nonsense! Had him right where I wanted him!" Now that their numbers were even, the skill of Kiba, Daric, and Rias proved more than a match for the Mythic Dawn agents as they gained ground and scored hits on the cultists. Kiba was the first to slay her foe with a fire ball at point blank range to his face. Rias followed suit with an axe lodged into the vulnerable throat of her opponent. Daric was last and added a bit of flare as he deflected the mace then dropped and kicked the cultists feet out from under him. In one fluid motion he stood and thrust his sword into the agents heart as he hit the ground.

The three exchanged appreciative nods and breathed deeply as they surveyed the battle space.
Just shoot me a PM if Geralt is accepted.
