"Got all the answers. Thats good though, a squad leaders gotta have the answers." David said as he puffed on his cigarette. He found it slightly odd that a Brit was leading the team way over here in the states but shrugged it away. The UK and the US have been allies for a long time and he worked with SAS in the past. Good men. "I don't mind sharin' a room. Cant be any worse than the trenches back in France or Panama eh?" The Vampire laughed and stomped out his cigarette butt, blowing smoke one last time. He would offer his hand to Carson and shake it firmly, throwing in a nod and a "Carson." then turn to Trixy and offer a slight bow. "My Lady. If you'll excuse me, i'm guna go find a room and unpack my bag." David would wait a moment for any response before grabbing his backpack and jacket from his bike and heading back to the front door of the main building. In truth he wasn't all that tired, Vampires were typically awake at night and sleeping during the day, but he would at least establish his place of rest for now.
I hope not, i'll post later today.
Well, i just finished reading the Rangers Apprentice series and I'm half way through The Night Angel trilogy. What I've noticed in these books is that the authors basically took ancient and old cultures from our world and just gave them fancy new names. So perhaps that will aid in the creation of cities and nations.

EI: vikings, mongols, france, england, middle east, japanese. Use them as a basis and perhaps rename them.
David was nodding to both Trixy and Carsons comments. Indeed he was itching to put some rounds downrange and slay some bodies. Marine lingo for 'lets go kill things' The Vampire lit another cigarette and offered one to his two teammates. Should they take it he would kindly light them and place the box and lighter in his pockets. With a long drag of his Marlboro Red and an equally long exhale, he looked to the sun that was barely visible now. It would be dark soon and the time where he operated best. This was likely what his new female friend was thinking as well. All Vampires cherished the moment the sun went down. When day became night and the night belonged to them.

He wondered how the mission would go down. How the team would perform. Obviously not like any grunt unit or special ops team he'd ever seen. Human tactics worked fine against humans but David doubted that they would work against creatures of the supernatural.' Only one way to find out i guess' he thought as he put the red to his lips and puffed at it. His pack was running out.. he would have to buy more soon especially if he kept sharing.

"So do we each get our own rooms or are you throwing us in a barracks?" or maybe two to a room? David wondered. Mikael would make a good roommate. They could swap stories and 'bro out', the slang term for male bonding. That would be the likely course, though David wouldn't mind sharing a room with Trixy.. he thought as he looked her over again. 'Yea right. Bet these sobs are like the corps and separate males from females. Everyones a critic.'
lol :P make me feel old
I wish it was my 22nd birthday T.T my 24th is coming up (if I'm alive) and i feel old..
The fight was going as he'd expected, somewhat. Daedra were falling but several members of the group had sustained wounds. A downward stroke came at him from the right and he spun on his heel, the claymore striking the ground harmlessly wide as he ducked under the Dremoras reach. As he came up he thrust his open palm for the its face and latched on. The dremora flailed and hit him in the abdomen with a right hook in an attempt to get him off. Not enough as the Hero of Kvatch discharged the lightning bolt that he'd been holding in his hand. At such close proximity, the bolt blasted the creatures head from its shoulders and the body slumped to the ground. Dralith did not savor the victory however and instead moved to his next foe, dodging a fireball as he did so. Fireballs would have little effect on the Dunmer but he would rather not embrace one if given the choice.

Realizing that the closing Dunmer was too quick for its fireballs, the scamp began to back away and lashed out with its claws as Dralith got close enough. Again the creature was too slow and its swiping claws raked the empty air. It's hands were severed by a lightning quick slash from a Katana and its owner spun in place, thrusting the blade back and into the Scamps chest. Dralith withdrew his blade from the body and rolled forward. As he came up, a pair of throwing knives left his empty hand and struck another Scamp between its shoulder blades, dropping it.

Dralith stood and surveyed the battlefield momentarily. Just as he did, he caught sight of Kiba falling to her knees, bleeding from several wounds. The female Dunmer hit the ground and lay unmoving and unblinking. 'Damn.' he thought. A Dremora had stood before her and now turned to seek another enemy with a bloodstained axe. Dralith had been about to engage the creature when a large form barreled into it and knocked it over. Karnog. The tackle was followed by a series of bone crunching punches to its face followed by the butt of his axe. Karnog stood over the beast, victorious, and sought another foe. The Dremora lay quite dead with its face little more than a bloody pulp.

It was then Dralith noticed the peril that had befallen the Bard. Wounded by a fireball and being chased by a Dremora. In his momentary lapse of awareness The Hero of Kvatch was struck by a fireball from the left which he immediately retaliated with a lightning bolt. The scamp dropped and its body convulsed and spasmed from the electricity. His own wound was superficial at best, a bit scorched but otherwise unharmed. Being Dunmer and facing a fire based enemy had its advantages. He sprinted for the Bard and refused to allow any more distractions until the man was safe. Henry was running but the Dremora was in close pursuit and determined to kill him. 'Not on my watch' he said under his breath, hastily making his way across the battlefield.

Once within range, he threw his enchanted Katana at the Dremora and drew two daggers from his belt. The throw didn't have sufficient force to kill it but the blade sank deep into its side and the enchantment sent waves of electricity through its body as it turned to face this new threat. The Hero of Kvatch was upon it then, a hurricane of jabs, slashes, parrys and thrusts with Elven daggers. His lightning quick dagger strikes overwhelmed the slow mace wielded by the Dremora and it gave ground. As it fell back it swung desperately for his head and had Dralith not ducked at the last possible moment the blow likely would have ended him. His duck turned into a backwards roll and he threw his daggers in a surprise move. One struck the Dremora in the stomach and the other was deflected by the mace. Dralith of course had other daggers he could have drawn but instead his hands flared with destructive magic. Lightning in his left and frost in his right. The Daedra snarled a challenge and rushed forward only to be met by the combined force of a frost enhanced lightning bolt.

The force of the magic sent it reeling onto its back and it lay unmoving with a scorched patch of its frozen skin visible through a hole in its armor. Dralith retrieved his sword and daggers, placing the smaller blades in their sheathes. "A bit.. flashy.. i must admit. But thats all part of the show, isn't it Bard?" Dralith winked to the man then set off to end this fight.
Happy birthday!!
David chuckled and held a smirk. Again he found her accent appealing and felt that it added to her attractiveness. "Maybe i am." the tone was innocent enough but hidden within them was his own subtle flirt. As she detailed her bikes to him he let out a low whistle and simply said "Nice. Nothing wrong with a hybrid, definitely saves at the pump." he said with nod. David had one hand on his bike, leaning casually but not putting his full weight into it so as not to tip it over as he faced Trixy. She eyed his bike and commented on his choice of colors. "Ah, well, I don't know why i chose these colors. They just seemed to suit me, you know?" After asking, he'd noticed a familiar face walking up to them from the main building.

Trixy was the first to act, spinning with her hand ready to draw a sidearm incase of a threat. She relaxed noticeably as she greeted Carson. David stepped forward as well, offering a firm handshake to his new squad leader. "Carson, evening." The three exchanged pleasantries and David couldn't help but wonder if Carson had indeed been interrupting. He shook the thought from his mind however and instead took this as an opportunity to get a feel for the man. Steadily the conversation had moved to the upcoming mission.

"We appreciate your confidence. I look forward to it, I'm curious myself to see what our enemy is and how the team deals with it. I've already met with Trixy and Mikael and from what I can tell they'll be invaluable as I'm sure you yourself are. Being that you're on the chain of command i mean. Also.." he scratched his chin in thought. "Im curious to see how those wolves perform." The Vampire hoped that beyond all else their common sense would prevail over any blood feud between the races and they would all return relatively unscathed.
