I'm Mack, I'm agender and I like advanced roleplay.

My favorite setting is Thedas (the setting of the Dragon Age games), but I also like original fantasy settings, especially with magic involved. I also like modern/urban fantasy. I'm a fan of romance side-plots because I'm a huge sap, but they are not my focus.

I'm used to 500-800+ words per post, but I am flexible and do not mind playing with people who post less than that. As long as my character has got something to respond to, I'm fine.

I prefer roleplaying in small groups with emphasis on interpersonal relationships and character growth.

Hello! I'm Mack, and these things are horrendously awkward. I don't know what I want to do for sure in life but right now I'm thinking about being a primatologist. I use they/them pronouns, but he or she are acceptable as well, as long as not everyone's using the same one. Then I might ask you to mix it up.

I like writing, and drawing to some extent, though both are a bit out of practice. On other sites in the past, I've had trouble maintaining inspiration, and invariably I've always ended up leaving. However, those were sites dedicated to a single story, not a general RP site like this fine establishment here.

I started RPing when I was about 8 or 9 on a Warriors cat fansite I'd found on Google, where we wrote meager one-liners in c-boxes. After that, I stumbled upon a game called Impressive Title, and quickly took to RPing in-game or on the site's forum. The game became increasingly popular, and the paragraphs-long style that I had become accustomed to fell out of favor. So eventually I stopped playing, and stuck only to forums. However, at that point I'd transitioned to the more typical site-wide-story forums. I started with wolves and the like and eventually moved to humans (or supernatural creatures, close enough).

Personally, those types of sites appeal to me because I like having all the locations spread out. I like the amount of detail you can put into your characters over time. The problem is, those sites take a lot more effort to keep up with, and my mind gets bored if I only give it one story to explore. So after my latest heartbreak, I've decided to go back to my roots. Not Warrior cats, I mean this kind of place. I hope that having multiple stories to jump between will keep me from getting bored with one, and give me plenty of material to write about.

Nowadays I don't write animals as much, though occasionally I do miss it. I like writing in most time periods, but I'm a sucker for medieval fantasy. I also like modern RPs, but I prefer when there's a bit of magic to them. I also like zombie fiction, though I'm a little picky. Writing for me is mostly recreational, although I do use it to explore philosophy sometimes.

My strongest suits in writing are word flow and detail. I really enjoy building characters and settings (but especially characters), and thinking about how their environment has affected them. I strive to demonstrate the subjectivity of morality and the complexity of the human mind in my writing. If you can't already tell, I think psychology is pretty interesting (though I'm more of an anthropologist).

Also, I like cats. In case you were wondering where my allegiances lie. Dogs are okay, too, but cats are where it's at.
