Nothing like GMing a solid Star wars RP with good old friends, then being invited to join back in on an old Witcher RP with another good group <3

As a crazy plant lady, this outbreak and quarantine is not helping my random online buying sprees... I'm gonna live in a jungle by time this is over.
Maksim sat comfortably in the clearing, confident that he wasn't spotted, after all, he was as careful as can be. The young boy sat criss-crossed as he placed the plastic bag gently in his lap. Opening it up a little, he looked down inside to find two small samples of honey buns, and a small, half-eaten slice of pound cake.
"Jackpot!" Maks whispered as he pulled out one of the honey buns.
Sheffield cleared his throat and exclaimed, "There you are!"
The sudden exclamation startled Maks causing him to drop the honey bun. Looking over at the man standing not too far away, the boy stood quickly and backed away by a few steps. Maksim's body was clearly tense as he stood there, sharply eyeing the stranger.
Despite Maks' best efforts, following various people and waiting for them to make a mistake, he hadn't been able to nab anything for quite awhile. The young boy's stomach grumbled rather noisily, catching the attention of the young couple he was following. They turned around and looked down at him, rather curious. Maks cowered a little bit and held a hand up, covering the side of his face as he turned around, walking away from the couple before they could say anything.
He didn't want to grow desperate, but couldn't ignore the pit in his stomach, it had been a couple days since his last meal, which in all reality was a leftover piece from a bread loaf and a half eaten granola bar. Despite his head screaming at him, telling him not to go towards the park, his stomach won the argument, and off towards the festival Maks went. He took his time getting there, avoiding large crowds and police officers when he could. Once he reached the park, Maksim found a spot hidden amongst a large group of foliage and trees, a favorite hangout of his when the park was less crowded. He examined the crowd, the different stalls, and most importantly the opportunities. Stalls would be too obvious, so he was smart to stay away from them. The boy was patient and waited until the right opportunity showed itself. After a good ten minutes wait, a younger woman walked by, her face buried in her phone and, from what Maks could smell, a bag of cooked goodies to indulge in.
He was sneaky, using the foliage as cover, Maks followed the woman close to the entrance of the festival. There, her phone started to ring, so she took a seat on an empty wooden bench, placing the plastic bag at her feet and indulging in the phone call. Maksim saw his chance then. He moved slowly, but with intent, crawling quietly through the bushes until he was on the backside of the bench. He then reached underneath it, carefully watching the woman above as he slowly took hold of the bag, minding the plastic and making sure not to cause too much noise, before lifting it off the ground ever so slightly and pulling it back towards the bushes. The young boy sank back into the foliage then, into a small clearing just a few feet behind the bench.
Maksim had woken early that morning, perhaps a little earlier than he preferred, but with the city preparing for the festival, he needed to make sure he wasn't stationary for too long. With people zipping this way and that, both in preparation for the festival and just going about their daily lives, it left many opportunities for Maks to nab a few snacks or small things he could use everyday, such as a refillable water bottle or a scarf.
The young boy stole, yes, but he stole because he had to. There was no one in this city that he trusted, at all actually, and could approach for help. They could all turn on him, just as easily as his parents had been turned on. The boy stuck to stealing only when he needed, or saw a need for something. He didn't steal money, or jewelry, or any other personal belongings really. He was a thief, but he was an honest one. Stealing or harming someone for the sake of money or power wasn't for him. He just wants to survive.
Peeking out from a shaded alleyway, Maksim made sure to stay low and hidden. Using the shadows from the buildings was a simple yet effective way to conceal himself. He mostly kept an eye on places in the city where there weren't many passersby, and where singular people loitered for a little too long. Preferably there were obstacles that Maks could use to hide behind when getting closer, or use to get away quickly in case the unlucky soul tried to chase after him. City parks were the boy's favorite, as he could use the cover from all the shrubs and foliage to sneak up on someone taking a break on a bench, or standing too close to the edge of a path. But Maks preferred to stay out of the park today, especially due to the enormous amount of people hanging around for the festival. Although, people going to and from would be easy targets, and perhaps they would have some snacks for the boy, unbeknownst to them.
Maksim would have to be on his toes today, as the city police would definitely be on the lookout. Maks has had enough run-ins and close calls with them that his face is easily recognized by many, though he couldn't shake the slight bit of confidence he had in being able to evade them on numerous occasions.
Maksim scruffed up his hair a little bit, mostly as a habit and thinking it actually changed his appearance a little, and stepped out from the alleyway, keeping his head low but his eyes up, looking for any little opportunity, but also keeping an eye out for the police should he need to duck back into hiding.
I've decided to stick with one character for now, as it's been almost two years since I've stopped RPing due to both mine and my RP partner's need to tend to IRL commitments.
1. A Jedi Padawan learner named Bryethe Farlance. Aged at 18/19 years. Still has some things to learn but nearing the end of her teachings and will soon start to focus on the Jedi Trials.
Origin In this era of Mutants, America may be more welcoming to such interesting beings, but in the far corners of the world, other countries and people may not be so welcoming. Maksim Lyaksandro Lowe was born on October 20th, 2005 to a human mother, and a Mutant father. He was born in the small village of Dzembronya, Ukraine. With a small population of 250 people, Maksimโs father, Lyaksandro, moved there with his wife before Maksim was born, in hopes that they could hide amongst the tall mountains and dense forests, and be as normal as their family could be. When the Ukrainian government began to scour the country for mutants, taking some in as live experiments and executing the rest, Maksimโs father instructed his son to run, run far, and do not stop running until heโs found somewhere safe. At 13 years of age, Maksim was forced to fend for himself. He ran, and hid, and ran some more, not knowing how far but determined to get far from anyone who want to harm him. Eventually, after scavenging for scraps, and at times evading officials, Maksim stowed away on a cargo ship. Eventually, the young boy found himself in Azure City, New York, USA. Present day in Azure City, the young Maksim is only 14 years of age. He lives on the streets of the city, evading officials out of general fear of what theyโd do to him and stealing to be able to survive. Due to the nature of what heโs had to do to live on the streets, Maksim is forced to fight off officials, and seems to always be on the run from trouble, even though the young boy has not an ounce of evil in his heart.
Personality During his early childhood in Ukraine, Maksim always enjoyed exploring the woods near his house, going fishing with his father, and helping his mother take care of their small farm by doing chores around the homestead. He and his father shared the same mutant power, so many free nights were spent by his father side, learning how to harness itโs power, and not let itโs energy take over his mind and body. Now, stuck in Azure City and struggling to survive, Maksim is a completely different child. Due to being constantly pursued by the officials the young boy is always looking over his shoulder and covering his tracks so that he may have a few moments of rest before having to run. Maksim refuses to let anyone near him who asks and tries his best to stay away from large crowds of people. Stealing from others, and at times being forced to fight his power when its triggered, has taught the boy to feel little remorse in anything he does. A little boy who once loved his family and his world, Maksim is forced to do anything he can to stay alive, fearful to approach anyone for help should they turn their back on him and leave him for dead.
Notable Relations His parents will always hold a special place in his heart. When he lays down to rest, theyโre always there in the forefront of his thoughts, assuring him that everything will be alright.

Everyday Skills Because Maksim has had to steal and cheat his way to survive, heโs learned to be very sneaky. He excels at pickpocketing if he can find the right moment, and never turns up a free chance to nab a meal from under someoneโs nose.
Combat
Fighting Style Maksim prefers to avoid any conflict that he can, both because he doesnโt know much hand-to-hand skills, and, if frightened, his powers can overtake him, causing him to go into an unstoppable rampage in which he can harm, and even kill, anyone and everyone he sees as a threat.
Strengths Maksim is somewhat on the smaller side for his age, thus allowing him to be more agile and allowing him to slip from somebodyโs loose grasp, or outrun someone should he get into trouble. Heโs also learning to be quicker on his feet when he needs to climb or scale an object to get out of a sticky situation.
Weaknesses Maksim is not very good at hand to hand fighting and prefers to stay far from anyone should a fight ensue.
Equipment Maksim does not own any sort of weapon or tool. For clothes, he wears: A tattered blue denim jacket. (instagram.com/p/5POzEHwupn) Dark, calf-length pants that are worn at the knees and tattered at the bottom of the leg. Black sneakers that are starting to separate at the sole and have a few small holes in them.
Power
Strengths Maksim is somewhat of a Lycanthrope, meaning his power relates to that of becoming a werewolf. When this power is triggered, the hostโs eyes glow a deep blue, their canine teeth become sharper (as a reflection of their power being derived from a wolf) and they receive a burst of strength. Although, even with fully developed powers, the user does not fully transform into that of a werewolf, but rather receives heightened senses, sharpened reflexes, and improved survivability for a short time. An adult with this power can withstand a stab wound through a non-vital organ during a fight, in which the adrenaline is so high that they can push through their pain and finish the fight. A child with this power, if properly and rigorously trained from birth through adolescence, can control their power, but will not receive the full affects an adult might, including some lack of adrenaline, and less survivability. But in turn, they will be able to control their power, and choose when it is triggered and released.
Weaknesses/Limitations A child Lycanthrope, if not properly trained from birth through adulthood, may find trouble in trying to control their power if frightened or threatened. The child does not receive the sharper canine teeth, but their eyes will still glow blue and they find themselves unable to control their body or mind. Due to the lack of training in Maksimโs case, he has the survivability, the reflexes, and the senses, but he is unable to limit and control it, thus running his body to the point that he could collapse and be unable to function without proper rest. The major drawback to both adults and children, is once their power is released, whether it be from choice or not, they immediately lose any heightened abilities, and the adrenaline quickly leaves their body. Any injuries sustained, life threatening ones most importantly, must be treated immediately, as their bodies go back to the normal state of a human, to which a certain extent of pain and injury is too much for anyone to bear. Both adults and children Lycanthrope can only be in their state of power for a limited time, and that time all depends upon the amount and intensity of training they have received.
Extra
Video link for reference on how his powers work (Warning, blood and violence involved. If you don't wanna see some nasty guy puking blood don't go past 1:07. And yes it's an anime.) youtube.com/watch?v=LBYM3FxtVhk Maksim does pretty well at keeping himself in decent hygiene despite his struggles. By this time, Maksim knows English well enough to where can speak it fluently, that is if he decides to say anything to you at all. Maksim has a small tuft of lighter gray, nearly white, hair on the back of his head. When his powers are activated, more parts of Maksim's hair become white. The white retracts after his power has retracted. In the event that Maksim's power is used, his nails begin to form from round to a little bit sharper and more pointed, and slowly form back to normal after his power has retracted.
Edit: I added a small college of a few images that I think best fit how Maksim is feeling currently, and how I see him as a character.
