"Well, fire is cool," Hiro added, "So cool, that it burns." He joined in on the laughter with a chuckle of his own. What he would do for a light right now. Somewhat subconsciously, he began to rub his fingers together, savoring the small heat the friction gave him.

"Those people?" He looked around to where he was pointing and shrugged. "We're in an asylum," Was the only answer he could provide. He suspected there had to be something wrong with everyone or else they wouldn't be here. The skepticism he felt towards his suggestion was plain on his face. But it could be that being in this shit hole clouded his judgement of the others. Newguy's mind was still clear. "Alright. Fine," He said and stood up, "I'll do the talking first. They know my face."
Okay, cool. I'm interested.
Can we have OCs that aren't kids of canon characters?
I have two, three if we're allowed to do more than just the two. I'm sort of going off of the typical horror movie stereotypes- Not to a T, mind you. Just their general ideas.

I have this guy with an abusive past, but he's a nice guy. Bit of a loner, keeps his head down, doesn't really trust anyone and he's a little skittish at times. He's studying to be a doctor.

And I have this girl- to be honest, she's a bit of a bitch and doesn't generally like talking to people because of this fiercely independent thing she has going on. She hunts game for sport and I haven't figured out how to adapt her supernatural dark past to something normal, but I'm having ideas.
Alright, I'll bite. I like scary movies and stuff, but I don't think I've ever participated in a scary thread before. This should be fun.
I'm interested. I haven't played a criminal in a while. Should be fun.
I'm interested.
Cool. I like the epidemic one.
Ethan was in the library when the lockdown started. He had articles to write and the library was a quiet place, but also nice change of scenery from his office or his own home, but he picked the wrong day to break the monotony of his job. He was kicked out of the library since he didn't have a high enough pay grade to stay. He also picked the wrong day to leave his car and save on gas.

There was something cathartic about walking in the rain with his briefcase over his head and the water seeping through his clothes, soaking his socks and making his hair cling to his face. It was nice until it got even harder, anyway. Then he abandoned all hope of getting home and hailed a stray taxi to take him somewhere to wait for the lockdown event to blow over. If it blew over. No one had contacted him yet and that was both concerning and a relief. No news was good news, right? He wasn't the only reporter for the local government and certainly not the first one to hear about anything events. The TV reporters were usually the first. Then radio. Then him, the old fashioned, outdated paper news outlet reporter.

Ahead of him, he saw some people walk into a store and told the cab to pull over in front of it.

After relieving the cab driver with a hefty tip, he hurried inside Lotuswich Shoppe before the rain soaked him further. Once inside, he brushed his sleeve on the sides of his briefcase to dry it and looked around at the occupants. No one he really recognized, at least not immediately.
Alright. I read over everything and I think the most logical place for Ethan to be is at the sandwich shop. *braces self* I'll just put him in there. Thanks for the help.
