@Holy Grail I have found much the same thing actually. Its very consternating.
@ConstantlyComic Constantly Comic how is your Master doing in the department of geting a Servant anyway?

@Ayazi are you still around? How is Saint J. doing?

@Holy Grail Sorry for the long wait, I was thinking someone else would respond with something more substantial, but if no one will I will try and move us ahead.

Where is everybody? :P
@Raijinslayer It was very beautiful, but it was a high alpine trip, and now my lips are peeling like mad. It was pretty great though. We hiked around Tuolumne Meadows and made our way up to some of the lower peaks.
Back from my trip, how we all doing?
I see you Raijin, how you be doin? I think the next post goes to Uno actually. For our plan of attack I say we throw proprietary to the wind and KILL EVERYONE IN THE ROOM. Then we DRINK THEIR BLOOD AND GAIN THEIR POWER.

Plaza San Francisco, Just Outside The Bounded Field-Covered Building

Oliver mulled over what the spirit had told him as they made their way down the city streets together, winding their way through the crowds which were parting around them much more easily than he was accustomed to. He could have sworn they kept drawing odd looks from the crowd, though why he could not fathom. A wraith, even one as powerful as this should be invisible to non magi eyes after all. He was undoubtedly imagining things, a common symptom of staying up to late into the night. Hopefully the coffee would set in soon and clear his head.

He turned pursing his lips and giving the tall wraith a somewhat exasperated glance. Oliver had swung back and forth from thinking that the wraith knew something he didn't and thinking it was simply out of touch several times in the past few hours, now he was leaning once again towards the latter.

It kept making up bizarre new rules. Now the daft thing wanted him to keep its true identity a secret, warning dire consequences otherwise and requesting that he instead called it "Saber". How was he to present his achievement and initiate a proper interview if he had to keep its real name a secret from his colleagues? It defeated the whole point! Once he had confirmed that there was no danger this was one request he simply could not humor.

Mr. Hallett was shaken from his introspection by a rather odd feeling in his chest. He realized with some alarm that he was drawing near to something quite powerful. Looking up he found that they had gained the plaza and were approaching the designated building. The building itself seemed to be a rather large warehouse looking complex. It took him a moment to realize that it was in fact protected by a bounded field, though one so weak that no magically attuned person could have failed to notice it. It was the people standing outside however who drew his attention...

A rather odd pair were standing before the doors of the meeting place, two dashes of blue and white among a crowd of plainclothes. They were both of them Magi. Or well, the small pale child was a magi, the other was...

Oliver realized with some alarm that he was looking at another wraith similar to its own. At some point along the line he must have grown accustomed to the presence of Masamune as he was once again impressed with the simple sense of power that the wraith was radiating. Clad all in skin tight blue the spirit was a tall dangerous looking youth with sharp European features and a gleam in its eyes that he didn't quite like.

Oliver took a subconscious step closer to "Saber" as they approached. He found himself wishing he had brought his dogs along.

The pale girl gave them a polite greeting and he returned it with a small rather strained bow before entering the building's foyer.

Together the four of them entered the building.

The reception room had been made out like someone throwing a potluck, tables of sandwiches and other delicate lining the walls and far corners. A large rather ostentacious banner decorated the back wall proclaiming welcome. It was surprisingly empty, the lack of crowd betraying the small scale of this affair despite what affectations the managers wanted to put on. All told there were only three people present, though Oliver recognized one as yet another of these mysterious super wraiths.

Well, I have stepped into the lion's mouth now. No turning back at least. If it is some kind of weird trap hopefully the sandwiches are at least good.
@Raijinslayer

Alrighty, sorry for the delay again, (this is becomeing a familiar line I know) i'm a post shortly.
@Raijinslayer

@Raijinslayer

Oliver shifted in his seat as the spirit fixed him with an intense glare after it's rather alarming speech. The hair on the back on his neck stood on end as the ghost focused its will on him. For a moment he was seized with a desire to flee the room, but he banished the silly feeling. It was only a wraith in the end, very powerful though it might be unless it was possessing something it should be relatively harmless to a magi of his experience.

Eyeing the uncannily solid looking blade in its hands once more he resolved to avoid provoking it anyway. This was becoming worrisome. How the devil did this creature know of the so called Grail? And of the other spirits to be summoned as well? Most perplexing. But then how much did he know about the so called Grail Artifact? That the spirit really did have knowledge of the current era nearly beggared belief, yet certainly it had conviction in what it was saying...

Its claims were absurd. A wish granting artifact would be something along the lines of True Magic, and heaven knew how long it had been since anything of that sort had been seen. Why, the Clock Tower would be all over it before you could blink if it were the case. Obviously the spirit was deluded in some fashion, it was very common for the lingering departed after all... Yet the utter clarity in the spirit's eyes could not be denied.

His gut feeling warred with his head for a moment before reaching an easy compromise. If even a tiny bit of what this Wraith had just said was true then that was reason enough to be on guard. At the same time though he was not about to throw the research opportunity of a lifetime out the window, especially on a few words from someone who had been dead for centuries! He would humor the spirit and keep a sharp eye out for foul play. Besides, it wasn't like he needed much of a reason to not trust a Noble Magi family.

Collecting himself and meeting the creatures burning gaze once more he spoke up.

I... see. Well, if what you say is true this is all quite astonishing! You say that you have been summoned for a kind of tournament? That men are after our lives in the name of a prize? You will forgive me I do not jump to full attention just yet, but I will take your words to heart and keep a keen eye out. It won't be the first time that I have had snobs after my blood you see! I will be the picture of caution I assure you. At the same time you must understand that I can't discount my own information on your word alone.

There is a party I must attend, a meeting of these people. If it looks like trouble I shall duck out, but I don't intend to stay away. I have invested quite a bit in this venture you know. Keep a bold face in danger, that's my motto! If I know anything of your own esteemed history then I am sure you understand. A scholar cant just leave his books to the dogs on the word of a new acquaintance, however accredited that individual is.

Standing Oliver gently tucked his NOTEBOOK under the nearby chest of drawers and gestured towards the door. "Give me a moment to make some coffee and we'll be off."
@Holy Grail Im doin p good, geting everything in order after basically a month of letting my surroundings go to the dogs while I worked. Im a gona post today. Its sort of fascinating clearing away a month of buildup, its weirdly satisfying.
