I am setting a deadline. The deadline is the 30th of March, Sunday noon, GMT. That gives me the Sunday to do stuff for this and then I can have the IC up and running by Monday noon.

Yes. In fact, you are not only allowed, but actually required to do so. If your species/race does not genetically have magical capabilities, you have to explain how this particular person got them.

I'll begin work on my own starter character ('cause I'll be switching around to fit the scenario and such). Once that is up, I'll start work on the IC OP. Sooo, time will soon be up for you to create characters.

Most of the world will be speaking the human tongue, simply becuase most of the world is inhabited by humans. Obviously, there are other languages from before the humans got there, but these languages are considered ancient and no one in the cities speaks tem as their primary language. There may be a very few species/races that have decided to keep their own language, but most of them will have simply converted. Speaking the human tongue makes it less likely for the humans to slay you.
I will add a tab on languages to the OP.

Anyways; choosing a race is always the hardest part IMO (then comes the sex, the "class" and lastly the appearance). There is still time for you to pick the perfect species/race.

I have a birthday thing today, so I won't be back for the rest of the day. I won't be home till around midnight and since I'm an old lady who needs to sleep at ten PM to be able to live the next day, I won't come on at that time either. Basically, I'm gone for 24 hours.

I truly do believe that there is no such thing as too much writing, as long as all the writing has a purpose. I'm glad that your world-building, too. It makes me feel less alone ^_~

The deities are real enough and you are free to create some of your own if you so wish. I'm working on creating information about the deities I have listed, but I have real life stuff, other RPs and so on to deal with, too.

Quick reference;
Goddess Klavon, Angel of Peace. Her blessings include healing powers, blessings and "buffing" powers. No offensive magic what-so-ever. Her curses include sicknesses of several different kinds, boils, gray skin and more.
Goddess Humossis, Goddess of Fortune. I've got no blessing planned for her, so go nuts.
God Iaanza, God of Balance, (lit. The Land). He doesn't do in blessings nor curses, per se. He believes in fair trade. You give him something, he gives you something. It can be pretty much anything.
