Name Of Country: The Empire of Astaxia // The Astaxian Empire

Species: Terran and Astaxian.

Species Description:
The Astaxian people are a race of Humanoid aliens with blue/purple skin. They are generally 5'6 to 6 feet tall when fully grown, reaching maturity at the age of 15. They don't have hair, but what looks like small tails growing and behind the head, though these aren't tails and don't move. They are also born with markings which cover some parts of the face and these come in light blue or white. Due to the religion that nearly all Astaxian people follow and the fact that females are often faster and stronger, they live in a very Matriarchal society.

Allegiance: Neutral for the moment, but if it were to be involved in a war the Queen would have no second thoughts about being on the side of Non-Humans.

How The Government Is Ran: The Queen has total control over all Astaxian people, laws, territories etc. within the empire. Her and a council of ten discuss issues and laws together, but the Queen can overrule anything that the council decides if and when she sees fit. There are forms of smaller governments who handle single planets and systems, but these all answer to the council and the Queen.

Military:
Basic Infantry: Astaxian infantry are very well trained. At the age of 16, all Astaxian and now Human females are required to join and serve in the Infantry division of the Military for two years and complete basic training courses every two years after.

The Marines:
The marines are a smaller force in the military, but are considered to be elite, with better training and are volunteers. Volunteers go through an extremely harsh training program lasting three years and then immediately serve. Marines wear the same armour, but a more reinforced version and have small orange markings on the armour.

Orbital Marines:
The orbital marines are a branch of the marines who are trained to be dropped in from orbit, straight onto the battlefield. This can be for reinforcing crumbling lines, keeping hold of captured territory, or dropping in behind enemy lines.

Vehicles and navy:
Ground Tank:
The Ground tank is a highly versatile tank that can be used as an Anti-Air stationary cannon or as a moving Anti-Infantry machine. Loaded with two AA cannons on the back, an AI cannon on the front and laser machine guns on the back, sides and front, this is a good part of any Astaxian force.

Troop Transpot Ship's or TT835's:
Ship's used too transport marines and infantry from place too place and too bring reinforcements in. Equipped with two cannons on the bottom and two plasma turrets on either side.

Fighter's or F35X's:
The F35X is the most commonly used fighter in the Astaxian navy, allthough lots of different models of fighters are used. The fastest, strongest and most reliable fighter in production is the F35X. Equipped with two cannons and two laser turrets on either side, one under each wing.

History:
The Astaxian people were a fledgling space nation when they were first discovered by Humanity. They had a fair few systems under their control, and two other species in slavery. The Terrans liberated the Astaxians slaves and took the old empire away from them.

The Terrans would soon come to realise the Astaxians were not easy to rule. They rebelled and rioted for a long time before they were finally stopped Humanity, and when they did the ensuing violence created a divide between the Astaxians and Humanity even more. This divide would shape the way things went when the Terran rule crumbled. The Astaxians, with a new monarchy being reinstated, took control of what they could and rebelled. They took all Humans they could and kept them as slaves.

Everything was fine for years, until a group called the 'Terran Liberation Front' nuked Astaxian worlds in the name of Terran freedoms. The empire spiralled into civil war which only ended when the Monarchy and the TLF signed a treaty, which would end the war with the monarchy still in control, but on the condition that Terrans all over the empire were released. 

Years after, the Astaxian-Terran relationship has begun to heal itself, but the divides still show.
